I'm a ukulele player myself and compared to most GOOD ukuleles, that's actually a pretty good price since sometimes they can be up to 200 bux or more. Again it's if you want a good-working ukulele that you want to last you a long time.
Yeah I wasn't saying it's a really bad price(even if vat19 products are often overpriced). I just simply told the price so you wouldn't have to click on the link(which can be frustrating to do with slow internet connection or on mobile)

but learning a normal ukulele is super easy and cheap. This would be way more appealing with a guitar.

Yeah I agree with that. I've only been playing ukulele for a couple years now and I can play easily. there is many more methods of learning, for example I have a small sheet from guitar center with all the chords and how to play then and I just go off that and RUclips for tutorials. So doing this for guitar which is much harder would be nice.

I learned the ukulele just today and it was actually really easy. It’s actually way easier than the guitar. Before this I’ve never touched a ukulele before.

It's not worth it. The app doesn't work.....it doesn't connect to the populele. Just download the populele app and use a regular ukulele to play the games on the app.
If $159 is expensive, then forget about buying most musical instruments.

Ukulele is super easy, no need for the extra stuff

getting a nice quality uke and learning online is actually really easy and inexpensive. You can find really good ones for under 80 bucks

First ever vat 19 livstream challenge where employees compete for the high score American idol style
They sell these in China for ~$60 USD (400 RMB). I got the rosewood version that they don't sell in the US when I visited recently for 500 RMB. It actually sounds pretty great for a $60 ukulele but I would rather spend $160 on a nice non-bluetooth uke if I were buying from the US, since I outgrew the app pretty fast and after learning the basics from the app I stopped using it all together.
You can customize the fret board lights to make cool patterns or write words which is a really cool feature and might be cool to show off, and the app has a lot of neat features.
Still a great instrument if you're dead set on buying it for the app but be warned it is pretty heavily overpriced and I personally really enjoyed learning traditionally.
Also as it is made by a Chinese company, about 90% of the songs in their library are Chinese pop songs.
