Tiger Army are truly unique. The combination of (mostly) aggressive sound, romanticism and that phenomenal voice (he can SING as well). I just washed my 20 year old Tiger Army shirt. Time to wear it again.
When Tim Armstrong signs a band, I absolutely pay attention. Bought third album in 03 because of this song, and I fell in love with these guys. Then they released Tiger Army III: Ghost Tigers Rise.. and I was Tiger Army for life.
First tiger army song i heard and blew my mind . Went to vegas for a week and outside my window across the street was an ad for them playing the day after i was booked to leave . Thankfully i eventually got to see them in chicago at the metro
I seen them in SD and it was Punx vs Psycho tour well Tiher Army only psychobilly band . The other was punk bands like The business . Dude tiger last set of the show fucking killed it ,it was there power moonlight tour in a way but omfg I had an eargasm lol since then fan ever since .
They actually resurrected psychobilly. Kim Nekroman admits psychobilly died in Europe when tiger army went mainstream many people looked up old psychobilly bands and bands like the klingonz came back. Even the quakes gave thanks to tiger army. Many ppl think it's cool to hate tiger army because they were the first mainstream psychobilly band that had a huge pop culture success. I'm a big meteors fan but Paul will never admit tiger army helped to give psychobilly a bigger audience. Again tiger army is at no way at all underrated lol.
I'm dead I died long ago but my spirit still roams (Incorporeal) Unwanted in heaven, forgotten in hell as on earth (Incorporeal) I don't want to stay here, it seems that I'll never be free Oh can you hear me? (no) And so It has come to be that I must wander forever (Incorporeal) Many things I have seen, empires that rise and then fall (Incorporeal) A life you live long is simply a moment to me A tiny drop of water in the sea of eternity There's no place for me everywhere that I go Only seems to bring upset and harm There's one thing that I want and one thing only Release into the great beyond Don't want to remember when I was alive When I held my true love in my arms For like you I once was, and like me you shall be When you Feel a chill in the night perhaps it's me saying hello (Incorporeal) You're so much like my love though she lived in a long ago time (Incorporeal) I long to see her, the day when my soul's laid to rest The peace that I can not find in life, I can find in death
Reminds me of a mix of misfits, blitzkid, and some other band but I cant put my finger on it. And despite this, they sound like something completely different at the same time and that is why they are amazing.
Just watched Carnival of Souls and kept thinking about this song and wondering if it's where they got their inspiration...the ghost faces haunting the girl and the lyrics are spot on with the movie. 👻
I’m newer fan I love enjoying the full progression of there sound. It really puts me in another world where I look like Elvis and where there’s all these classic cars and outlaw cowboy bands.
@alfonsowc87 nick 13 sang back up on black sails... with afi, and afi's drummer played drums on the first tiger army record, and davey havok from afi sings background on this album
I can hear it all day long. Feels like it was just released yesterday even though it got released a decade ago. Time does fly but not amazing music like this.
This song still hits in 2024.
It sure does!

Dude, I just discovered this band today on Spotify and I can`t stop listening to it.
Still listening?
Vocals reminds me Davey Havok's in the older AFI albums
@@Idoloslocales Davey and nick 13 are close friends and Davey did guest vocals on this album
im sad that you started late... glad you made it :D
Misfits 50's and 60's covers with Davey's vocals from black sails
I haven't listened to this in years, but what a classic! I'm thanking my teenaged self for listening to them.

Quite possibly their best song... Definitely the best song they've made a video for.
FTW - FTW

underrated is the best word ever, i got into this band over a decade ago when i was a teenager and i knew they were something special and different
That vocal though. Even live it holds up, pure gold!
Every few months this song has re-entered my brain for the past decade and a half
By far the best song I ever heard in my entire life. I listen to it now every day. !!
CK Hawk ... No doubt it's awesome. Try Psychobilly Freakout by The Reverend Horton Heat.
@@JW...-oj5iw sparky and the deadbillys are great too
Got to see them twice as a teenager, still hits just as good!
This entire album is a stroke of horror punk/rockabilly genius.
Yes it is. 💜

Awesome singer and band!!!!! Love the tone of his voice and melody can hear it forever.
very underrated band
Gordon Sargent not exactly underrated just a niche genre feel me? A lot of bands don't fit in and that just fine
FTW
they are not underrated. many TA fanatics out there :)

I have seen them 3 times. Warped tour Vegas, Jillian's in Vegas, and Warped Minneapolis. Great shows and so much fun.
I'm dead
I died long ago but my spirit still roams (Incorporeal)
Unwanted in heaven, forgotten in hell as on earth (Incorporeal)
I don't want to stay here, it seems that I'll never be free
Oh can you hear me? (no)
And so
It has come to be that I must wander forever (Incorporeal)
Many things I have seen, empires that rise and then fall (Incorporeal)
A life you live long is simply a moment to me
A tiny drop of water in the sea of eternity
There's no place for me everywhere that I go
Only seems to bring upset and harm
There's one thing that I want and one thing only
Release into the great beyond
Don't want to remember when I was alive
When I held my true love in my arms
For like you I once was, and like me you shall be
When you
Feel a chill in the night perhaps it's me saying hello (Incorporeal)
You're so much like my love though she lived in a long ago time (Incorporeal)
I long to see her, the day when my soul's laid to rest
The peace that I can not find in life, I can find in death
Thanks, my guy
I'm dead*
But the peace that I could not find in life, I can’t find in death*

BlueFan2007 this song is almost 20 years old. It came out 18 years ago. I feel really old right now...
They were introduced to the world by AFI, they lent them Carson (their drummer) early on in order to perform.
don't want to remember when I was alive and had a true love in my heart.
David Burnham me right now
same
It's arms not heart
Held my true love in my arms*
Reminds me of college. Stand up bass is still sick.
Holy molly I think he’s playing the George Harrison duo jet with the Dynasonic pickups . Awesome 😎

Just wish Tiger Army had played this at their Charlotte or Raleigh shows. Great shows anyway, but this would have set it off!
👏👏👏👏👏 Escutando em 2018🐯🔫lasqueira...
em 2022
Crooner. So good live!
I was always into punk, hated this stuff. Now that I'm older I can admit I secretly like this song
Elitists ruin music for everyone. Punk kids always tended to speak against elitism but then they did it ten times harder than anyone else.
@@WandamianCrucifixplate you're the worst.
Great song about the journey called life.
AFI immediately comes to mind.
Why?
@@onwardyuh4008 their earlier days the bands shared minor similarities
He was in AFI listen to a single second from AFI
Jason Maxam under saturns shadow was another song the two bands did together
They shared the same bassist Geoff Kresge and they both sing on each others tracks for back up, that's why
A really cute guy just sent me this! 😍 love it
Amazing
Stray Cats meets Misfits 😂
Super awesome
La primera que escuche de tiger army...pulentisima
My favorite song

this band kicks ass
Good old times...
🔥 classic
Never die
ALIVE: FOR LIKE YOU I ONCE WAS.. AND LIKE
DEAD: *ME* YOU SHALL BE
is it me or did they seem to go mainstream a bit a few years back, and now back and better than ever?
the best
Love
I'm going to get a burrito now 🌯, so I thought of this song. 😅
hmm...... Now that I think about it, Nick 13 looks like M. Shadows....
Is the guitarist/vocalist Buzzcut from Beavis & Butthead?
How does one feel so much regardless of not being of the feeling. Artistic license! Never mind, we all might feel a bit of this…
@nigbomb88 He most likely did but I read an artice about the beatles and it said Gretch.
