What is the point if having a bigger screen and smaller bezels, but not being able to use most of that space for something useful like on android I was an android user, I am fully an iPhone user now. But I just don’t get it
I'm about to get one and I had the obvious doubt. Coming from a 13, I think I'll get the 16 Plus. I prefer it lighter, and also a bit thicker bezel will avoid unintended pressings, and will be less noticeable when I put the cover on. I wouldn't use a phone over $500 without a cover, especially considering that the vast majority of the surfaces are glass, and the cover may interfere with an extremely narrow bezel. Having also a 13" M1 iPad Pro, I don't see the need to have the most brutally powerful smartphone, although this time the difference is minimal between the Plus and the Pro Max in that aspect. The camera is better in the Pro Max, but I'm not a professional photographer, I don't need RAW or anything. The pictures I get from the 13 are good enough, but it lacks macros, which got resolved for both, the Plus and the Pro Max. I never connect the phone with the MacBook using the cable, so I don't mind having that extra port speed, I use Airdrop when needing to send stuff between them. I don't see why to let those extra 300 go, besides of the colors, because the natural titanium looks really nice, but I prefer the Plus and freeing those 300 for something else. I use the phone for messaging, social media, taking pictures/filming short stuff, eventual light gaming while briefly waiting for something and for Carplay.
9:13 this doesn't even make sense, titanium is lighter than aluminum, but stronger at the same time. This has been a very famous headline of the 15 Pro series.
Yo please at 8:15 fact check that because most games on iphone are locked at 60fps to maintain performance and battery life and heat. So the pro max at with a 120htz screen won't make you play call of duty at 120fps.
I believe that the regular and pro are so close this year because of how so many countries are not doing well economically. They bring up the level of the regular iPhone so people upgrade to something that is almost pro rather than waiting it out until next year.
@@BC08 idgaf about when you value my opinion or not. I never liked the iPhone X and always preferred the iPhone 8 design yeah it was old but I wasn’t ready to move on from the home button yet the iPhone 11 design onwards is way better designed than the iPhone X.

I don't think its so odd that Apple has equipped all the iPhone 16s with pretty much the same specifications aside from the cameras. My observation of tech in the era is that behavioral data is a gold mine for these companies and in order to get the maximum amount of Apple users carrying around a device that can use AI to profile them the company would need to do just what they did this year. I think the need to run the local AI model on all the phones drove this decision. When those updates come out these phones will know you better than your family and so will Apple :-)
Battery, 120hz, and 256gb are the main differences for me. Battery is especially important. I don't want to worry about battery. People in the future will have 1 week battery and will laugh at the bad old days with 1 day battery.
It's actually the opposite way around regarding the battery. We used to have batteries lasting 1 week. Not using a better, more lasting battery is a choice that the big cell phone manufacturers make because they've noticed that we are used to charging our phones one or more times a day and we do not care anymore. So that's an advantage for them.
As a Samsung User I'm planning on getting an iPhone this year because of budget and Samsung plan is getting Expensive so i look on my Local Phone store online plan for iPhone look cheap so i made up my mind to get My First iPhone this help me to get 16 plus.
I have no issues with the screen being 60HZ & the 16Plus takes better photos than my 14Pro did. I always had always on display off, & 120HZ off. The 14pro was the iPhone I had to charge the absolute most. I think with all the upgrades to the base 16 iPhone. It’s like having cameras that are 20% better than the 14pro, and now I can get close to objects. I tested it before I decided to say bye to my 14pro. I will not miss it lol.
I thought I was the only one. I upgraded from the 13 to the the 14 pro and my phone lives on the charger 🤦🏽♀️ it’s upgrade time and the plus is on my mind. The 6s plus was the best iPhone ever so I’m hoping it’s the reincarnation

While most reviews seem to focus on the little incremental changes to the camera system, how many ‘close to being fanboy’ reviewers did a thorough test on what is the first on any Apple device ever, WiFi7? That is my screen lol. I own a cleaning business and ZenMaid has been the single best thing to ever happen to it! We used to have a paper schedule printed out every week, manually texting each maid their schedule every night. Maids would each screenshot their Home Screen when they arrive and when the leave as a clock in system and text those photos in mass to the manager. Now with Zenmaid we have a clock in system that’s trackable. Automatic reminder texts and emails to clients. It’s just genius. Only one suggestion: please update the app with one very small update that’ll change my life: where it shows the clock in and out time for an appointment, please just put one line of text below it that automatically calculates the total clocked in time so I don’t have to manually do the math in my head for every appointment. By the way, if you want us to create an advertisement for Zenmaid, reach out on our email which you can find on our Max Tech RUclips page in the About Us section.
I don’t notice pro motion even though I use my MacBook Pro practically 2/3 of my day and even then I notice it slightly only when I’m gaming. I might go from the 15 pro max to whatever they’re calling the plus model next year
The Plus’s are the new grabs since the iPhone 6 plus, 7 plus & 8 plus. Apple did there thing when they made pro max sized iPhones with a variety of colors to choose from just only difference there are 2 cameras instead of 3. I’ll take the Iphone Plus over the pro max.

Just one gap: 120hz doesn’t mean 120fps and the 60hz display is not limited to 60fps. You can play games which give 200fps on a 60hz display and of course it will display the same smoothness as the 120hz one.

I would still pick my 16 Pro Max over 16 Plus, i don’t like the back of the 16 Plus, I don’t love the camera arrangement, i much prefer the 16 Pro Max cameras arrangement and battery life and faster transfer speeds are also worth it, I’m too used to the Pro iPhones to go to a base model iPhone and that’s without mentioning ProMotion 120Hz, the only real advantage the 16 Plus has in is colours.
Macrophotos on the pro max is still only 12mp, unless you turn off macro mode, not much of a real world difference compared to the 15 pro and 14 pro. Low light performance without night mode is worse too.

Keeping my IPhone 13Pro for another one. These incremental changes still haven’t added up to an upgrade reason yet. That 48MP ultra wide needs to be a much bigger sensor. 5x needs to be 48MP and bigger sensor size. And a 24mp bigger sensor for the selfie. Or give me an ultra with 4 cameras .5 1 x3 x5 all 48MP with good size sensors and good camera apertures. And an awesome 24MP selfie. Yet I feel we will just get slow camera sensor upgrades with one sensor always been way better then the rest.

I was an android user, I am fully an iPhone user now.
But I just don’t get it
I like how you're not even talking about the right phone and you keep calling the pro the pro max
Buying iphone 15 plus is a much better choice right now. cheaper too. and let me tell you one thing. you will not feel 60hz after few hours of usage.
I use the phone for messaging, social media, taking pictures/filming short stuff, eventual light gaming while briefly waiting for something and for Carplay.
ill keep my iphone 3GS. no real difference to this 16 pro...
I still have a 3GS lol.
Lol😂
lol I don’t blame you. If it can make calls, send texts and go on the internet then I don’t see a problem with it
9:13 this doesn't even make sense, titanium is lighter than aluminum, but stronger at the same time. This has been a very famous headline of the 15 Pro series.
For me, the IPHONE 16+ checks all my boxes. All the stuff you mentioned is irrelevant if don't have a max.
just upgraded to the 16 Plus from my 12 Pro, liked it so far
While mine upgraded from 8 plus to 14 plus 😂
Bro why in the world would you take notes on a paper pad on the back of the case and not in notes 😂

The iPhone 16PM has the same bezel thickness as the Galaxy S24+, it’s not the thinnest in the world
Yo please at 8:15 fact check that because most games on iphone are locked at 60fps to maintain performance and battery life and heat. So the pro max at with a 120htz screen won't make you play call of duty at 120fps.

2:10 Display sizes: 6.7" and 6.9"(iphone 16 and iphone 16 pro max). Great review like always! I am more interested in the not pro or pixel 9 pro
I believe that the regular and pro are so close this year because of how so many countries are not doing well economically. They bring up the level of the regular iPhone so people upgrade to something that is almost pro rather than waiting it out until next year.
Which iphone has better speakers? iPhone 16 or the 16 pro?
Impressed by the design of an old iphone 12 and the size of mm and titanium that gets covered with a case vs aluminum that never breaks
The bezels on the 16 Pro Max are SOO thin. IRL you REALLY feel the difference. I upgraded from a 13 PM and am super content with my upgrade.
That’s a decent upgrade.
iPhone X had the best looking camera array ever
The iPhone X was overrated and I hate the camera array.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 You have a bad opinion
@@BC08 idgaf about when you value my opinion or not. I never liked the iPhone X and always preferred the iPhone 8 design yeah it was old but I wasn’t ready to move on from the home button yet the iPhone 11 design onwards is way better designed than the iPhone X.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 The fact that you were one of those people that liked the bezelmonster 8 over X tells me all I need to know. 🗑️ opinion.
11 Pro was little but a refresed IPhone X with an extra camera in an uglier array.
I had both X and 11 Pro.
I upgraded to the 16 pro max from 15 plus got the white titanium planning to keep for two years this is my first max pro phone haven’t used it yet!
If the 16 plus has 120hz display, it would have been my choice over the 15 & 16 Pro Max. Performance and Display matter more to me.
5:10 That telephoto picture on the Plus phone looks like an AI photo lol
It pretty much is.
Was going to comment on JUST THAT!
I mean, it legit feels like some crappy AI-based upscaling. Definitely not very ‘Apple’ lol.
It is. Because at that level of noise and sub pixel smudging, the phone have to start guessing what word those are.
As a Samsung User I'm planning on getting an iPhone this year because of budget and Samsung plan is getting Expensive so i look on my Local Phone store online plan for iPhone look cheap so i made up my mind to get My First iPhone this help me to get 16 plus.
I thought 16 series all had the new display, minus the refresh rate. There must be a hack to enable 120hz on 16 and plus
Should i upgrade from 14 pro max!? My weak battery is the main reason
get a new bateery
What to choose between 15pro max, 16 pro or 16plus? Just for photo and normal usage.
There is No 45W charging, Max went over this in the previous video, Pros only top off at 27-29W same as last year
Yes that’s why I mentioned you can hit 39W but only when another task is running like gaming

I’ll stick with my 13 Pro Max until Apple gets their innovation back if that’ll ever happen which I doubt because Steve Jobs is gone 🥺
@@The_One_444 nobody is innovating at the moment. Let’s not act like it’s only Apple and you may not have faith in Apple but I still have faith in Apple more than anyone else I’m fed up of the negativity surrounding the iPhone 16 series which is better than the 13 series but to be honest, I like the 13 pro Max, so I won’t hate on your device too much I mean what are you expecting? I chose the plus over the pro max due to weight and a $500 CAD price difference. Can’t justify it for the extra lens. I’d never notice refresh or bezels unless they’re next to each other. Weight and battery are my two biggest requirements.

While most reviews seem to focus on the little incremental changes to the camera system, how many ‘close to being fanboy’ reviewers did a thorough test on what is the first on any Apple device ever, WiFi7? If they have actually crippled the 320mhz channel width, making thr iPhone 16 really just a WiFi6E device, why is that being ignored for ‘camera review’. Please direct me to a reviewer who actually does ‘technical’ reviews.

@@MaxTechOfficial I’m sorry for missing that video. I’m also sorry we’re getting the same results in WiFi testing. My 16 Pro Max matches exactly the results of my M4 iPad Pros which are WiFi6E’s (why WiFi7 didn’t go in those devices is yet another disappointment).
I upgraded from a 14 pro to the 16 max I am f***ing in love with it 😍
I feel like the 16 pro and max are just prototypes of the next gen iPhones as they are half baked. By the time they get the promised features, they'll be kinda old. Hopefully this won't happen to the 17 variants.
The slowed down refresh rate you showed is NOT representative of the true experience at all, c’mon man… 🤓 The 16 plus is all about that color and the fresh camera bump position. Much cleaner, but we’re all so used to the Pro features though… I’m so tempted though.. 😅
Do 16 Pro vs 7 (i'm upgrading from a 7).

I do content and play quite long hours of RPG on phone, do you think the 16 Plus is suitable? Thanks!
Thank you for using ZenMaid ❤(or thanks to whoever's screen you used in the shot at 1:41 😉)
That is my screen lol.
Yup. I upgraded from a 13 Pro max to a Iphone 14 plus then I went to a iphone 15 plus. It’s the color varieties.
I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and thinking about getting the iPhone 16 Plus… I don’t know, I do prefer 120hz display?? 😮
Comfort > Premium! At this point 16 is a just a 60 Hz version of 16 Pro - no other noticeable difference. When the baseline iPhones get 120 Hz, Pro sales will be done.
I moved to 16 Plus from 13 Pro max and this phone is really great
How about the differences in battery life?
Lighter weight is premium for this generation. So tired of carrying a brick :)
Do you not have screen burn-in when you use Always on Display?
People will buy what they want as well as what they need in an appliance. I had had phones from the beginning of cell phones. I still miss the Nextel phone!
Just one gap: 120hz doesn’t mean 120fps and the 60hz display is not limited to 60fps. You can play games which give 200fps on a 60hz display and of course it will display the same smoothness as the 120hz one.
Here is somenthing new that almost no one is talking about: the 16 pros lineup reduces the refresh rate from 120hz to 80hz when you are fast scrolling, so it’s not that fluid anymore.
Check it
@@guidrissen The human eye, above 60hz won’t notice a difference between 80 or 120hz, the same thing for frames per second. And, since the pro motion was released, has been behaving the same.
@@joseteixeira5900this is NOT TRUE. Please tell this to anyone who plays an FPS on a high refresh rate monitor. The difference is night and day. Also frame rate when above the refresh rate looks the same but is smoother at a higher FPS due to less latency with excess frames.
@@ssadisfyingg the smothness you refer is different than the smoothness of fps. I played a lot more than 25 years ago on CRT monitors at 25-30hz (of course hurt the eyes), games with 100-200fps, the game itself is smooth. The fps itself will not change if you play on a monitor at 144hz… We are talking different things, and of course higher refresh rate help to mask a bit the smoothness on fps between 25 to 60hz but the sluggish is still there in a way less noticeable than on a 60hz display or 120hz
@@joseteixeira5900 Please reread my message bro. Obviously more FPS is not going to make 60hz feel like it’s more than 60hz but MORE FPS makes the 1% Lows significantly lower which means less stuttering OVERALL making it smoother.
The 16 plus has all the upgrades compared to the 15 plus, and it’s often on offer for 800 and it has the best battery life of all the 16 models plus the camera design looks neater. The a18 is very similar to the a18 pro and it’s loads better than the a16,a huge upgrade. The main camera is basically the same as the 16 pro max and it’s lighter to.Battery life is the most important to me,I got my 16 pro for 800 and my Apple Watch series 10 for 350,that’s 50 cheaper than the pro max.

C’mon!! You can’t say it sucks stay with your old and before you breathe you say you should get it…
Macrophotos on the pro max is still only 12mp, unless you turn off macro mode, not much of a real world difference compared to the 15 pro and 14 pro. Low light performance without night mode is worse too.
2:14 the graphics both indicate 6.7", but the Pro Max is 6.9".
I haven’t noticed a difference from my iPhone 13 Pro Max to the 16 pro max bezel wise. It’s insignificant and gotta be honest think I like the notch better. This island is blocking more of my screen.
The main difference is the camera and the display quality of both the iphones.
I've had a 120hz Pixel 7pro phone for years and a OnePlus before that and now finally moved to an iPhone with 60hz and notice no difference.... Stop all your yammering 😂
Wish the pro series would get those beautiful colors the cheaper versions got 😭
is it worth it the $400 difference tho? also think about other people like myself living in small countries like Romania where the minimum salary is $500
Are the speakers the same?
Yes they sound the same. Maybe a slight volume boost on Pro Max but barely noticeable.
I miss the army green.
Both my wife and I don’t like the colour palette. Black is still there so it’s fine for me, but not for her.
Since she’s inheriting my phones, I buy what she wants and I use rugged case anyway 😂
16 style is nicer. I just would miss the zoom from the pro. 16 design is wonderful
Would love to see iPhone pro max 16 comparison with iPhone 15 plus. Please
Is the phone signal better on the 16 pro then the 16 pro max
I have the 12 pro max and my signal is rubbish
or is this just dumb to ask and there’s no difference at all it’s just the network or data I’m on
How do you and Max decide who is at the table for a video?
I think non-pro models have major changes this year. 16 pro max is exactly a copy paste with minor changes. 15 pro max still feels better.
I personally don’t like the 16 plus camera set up. It gives very much iPhone 11 vibes. But not only this my 15 plus is doing just fine after a year later. I still have 97% battery health and iOS 18 is doing my battery good.
I still can’t believe iPhone 16 is stuck on usb 2.0. What a dick move by Apple.
