This year I will be decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving with the traditional colors of Red and Gold on a Green Christmas Tree and all around our main living areas.

My house is in neutrals from January to late August, then it's all the colors of fall and for Christmas it's everything red and gingerbread decor! I love the neutral look, but I also love the loud pops of color for fall and the holidays. Hobby Lobby is my favorite store ever and I've been buying things here and there since Christmas went on sale!❤
My husband has dementia like Jason and he doesn't like glitter and too much Christmas decor. We have a small apartment and I love to decorate, especially for Christmas and I love glitter. To honor his wishes I decided to go with the natural feel garlands from Hobby Lobby (which are beautiful). I also want to honor what Christmas is truly about and focus my decor on Jesus. I bought clear, flat ornaments with the names of Jesus on them (even Hebrew names) from Etsy. They hang from a simple white ribbon. I bought some red and white stripe ticking ribbon from Etsy as well. I'm going to tie basic bows on my tree with them. On the top I have a Bethlehem star and all white lights. Less is more sometimes.

We sold our large farmhouse and moved to a very cozy small house. I got rid of a lot of Christmas items from 44 years of collecting. We always had a real tree out of our own woods, but starting in the new house I bought a silver tinsel tree (pre-lite from Martha Stewart’s collection) I decorated very minimally with shiny bright balls in turquoise, peacock blue, deep pink, even a few rusty orange! I’ve had some fun with adding old retro things throughout the house.
I have to tell you I can't get out to the stores because of my husbands health. I love your videos cause it gives me a chance to see what's new. Love Hobby Lobby, could spend hours there. Thank you for all you do and give my best to Jason too.

It was fun to go shopping with you! I don't have a Hobby Lobby near me so it was fun to see what they have. I was impressed with all the different kinds of garland, too. I usually go very traditional with my Christmas décor, mostly red, green and gold. I have a lot of vintage Christmas ornaments from the 1950s that belonged to my parents and I mix them on the tree with a lot of sentimental ornaments. I rarely buy anything new because I enjoy seeing everything I already own. That said, I love your shopping videos so I can see what is new. Have a good week!

I have the revolving stand from Hobby Lobby. Honestly, I will never go without one again. It absolutely elevates the look of your tree and the lights peak in and out as they go around and look so twinkly and sweet. You could use a rotating tree stand regardless of how you decorate your tree. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a revolving Christmas tree stand.
When the kids were little the fun vibrant colors were a must. Now that they are all grown, I have been more into the Ivory and gold, more neutral colors over the last several years.
We are a red green white and gold. More traditional colors for us and our tree is pre lit and as long as the lights work we will decorate it! Give Jason a big hug and kiss and hope he is doing well. Thank you for sharing hobby lobby I love that store.
One of my favorite parts of decorations are snow globes and small lit up houses. Last year (or the year before?) was the first year I fully decorated the tree by myself and I had no idea how magical that actually was. I thought it would be depressing and sad, but it was artistic, calm, and joyful to be able to look at each ornament, and be flooded with various emotions and stories.
I'm going with something different for me; brown, copper ornaments with rose gold ribbon garland for the basics and then put on some special ornaments I've had for years. No matter what color combo I think every Christmas tree is a winner. HobLob is my favorite store!!
I love it all. I don’t do themes I just change my ribbon and that refreshes the look. I’m like you I use what I have collected over the years and what has been given to me from family and friends that mean something to me. I’m my opinion you can’t put a dollar sign on things that mean something to me, but I like to get something new to mix in as well. Love your videos!

I was just at The Lobby (as my daughter and I call it) and the aisle after aisle of Christmas is nuts!!! I love these videos because you point out things that might go unnoticed. My Christmas is 5-7 different trees. One with vintage hats, pinks, pearls….one all out Mexican, one for our kids ornaments, one for our grandkids, and the other ones are just decorated for the room they are in. Not all huge trees. 4-7 foot. Mostly slim ones. I’m getting a white tree this year for my Mexican tree so I’ll have an extra slim to do in another area. Takes me about 2 full weeks to do all the house but I also leave it up until January 12th.
I love to stick to the reds and greens some brown. I went to HL the other day and boy did I blow my budget hahaha. I loved it though its the first year I really went and spent for things I wanted. God bless

Hi , I am doing more Victorian, burgundy this year. I think burgundy is a newer trend with the more deeper moody colors we are seeing in design. If you use blue. I saw a u-tuber do navy with burgundy and it was a gorgeous color combination.
Thank you for the inspirational tour through Hobby Lobby. Yes, they do have beautiful decor. I have been collecting the vintage glass ornaments from the 50's-60's and use only them on my tree. I don't trust myself on a ladder at my age, so I downsized to a very full 4 ft. tabletop tree. I love the look of flocked trees and glitter, but it sheds and I am vacuuming it up long after the holidays😮. Looking forward to your Christmas decorating videos.

Girl, every room in my house is a different theme..... I have 5 to 6 big trees and probably a million different littler trees so, from 7ft to super tiny..... My living room is cabin themed.... My kitchen and dining room have always been gingerbread and candy and I have a coffee/drink/hot cocoa station.... My master bathroom is ocean/sea themed..... My son's room is deer, bear, wolves etc.... The main bathroom is farmhouse-ish😂 My nail studio is lots of glam and glitter..... My craft room is always something different.... The den is something different most times.... Because my late papa and late husband loved Christmas..... And we always start decorating Thanksgiving evening and they stay up until after New Year's day..... And this doesn't count my front porch, patio or the sun room..... Lord, I think I've become a hoarder of everything 🤣🤣🤣🤣☺️
I live in rural Alaska we have nothing but a Wal-Mart with that said we don't get near the variety you all get or any of that Texas designer line.😢 Pretty much the basics. We don't even get the beautiful natural garlands just the tacky brightly colored ones. Ordering on line is hard because for us everything says out of stock even in August. Probably a good thing or U would go crazy. I do order from Amazon but it's so nice to be able to see what your buying first. I though I was getting a few cute thing fromTemu but their version of red is orange.😅 I got caught up in the trendy ribbon red and white then add in the blk & white Mckenzie Childs look last year. We have a 16ft tree in our livingroom and the some of the lights went out. Brought the tree down in Sept cut out all the lights and added fairy lights. Doing the good old fashioned colors and cranberries and popcorn my favorite and my grandkids.

My habit is partially due to 2020 when we sheltered at home, but mostly due to the fact that in a craft or decor store I have no "cease and desist" level. I have entered Joann Fabrics or Michaels, looking for a button or thread then leave with $50 worth (obviously I pay first😉) of material, jewelry findings, decor, beads, crafting tools and more. Is the problem that when it comes to crafting and decor that I am not shopping with a detailed list as when one does grocery shopping?

You must be referencing Rebecca Robeson. Yes those trees are so expensive. I found a wonderful Christmas tree last year at Home Depot for $400. 7 1/2 feet over 7000 tips 1500 LED warm lights. Beautiful.
Oh you are lucky to have such a well stocked store. I went to our local HL and there was still aisles of fall. There were aisles of Xmas but not nearly what you have and other influencers have shown. I will be sticking with traditional colors but possibly mixing in some browns and tan. Guess it depends if the grandbabies are here then it will be Santa Claus candy cane wonderland 🤗
I was a little disappointed that this video was just showing us stuff in a store. You didn't even buy anything. I would rather see another fall craft or display or you making a quick recipe rather than jumping into Christmas stuff this early. LOL 😂 Over on Instagram we were talking about how the early bird gets the worm! If you find something you like for decor you better snatch it up or it’s gone! That’s why we show videos early! Also to give others inspiration! I know most people don’t decorate until after Thanksgiving, but that’s not how it works in business (hence why all the stores already have product out). If I don’t want to be late to the game, I have to show it early also. Anyways, no worries, every video is not every persons cup of tea, and I’m totally ok with that! It's ugly here in St. Pete, Leslie. No power, but my family is fine. Our house is next to a motel that is muffling the sound and some wind. My garage that was converted to living space will need to have water shop vacced out, but we moved furniture after it flooded during Helene. Not fretting about the woodshop side! You can cut a board to fit on your mantle, paint it the same color, put hooks along the front to hold Christmas stockings.Let me know what you think!

I was a little disappointed that this video was just showing us stuff in a store. You didn't even buy anything. I would rather see another fall craft or display or you making a quick recipe rather than jumping into Christmas stuff this early. We are as prepped as we can get! We live in the middle of the highest part of Pinellas county so we aren't worried about storm surge. It's nice to get recommendations from a trusted friend.❤ I think what bothered me so much about this Hobby Lobby bidyo was the fact that it's still October and I'm just getting into Fall. I know you celebrate the real reason for Christmas, but it seemed a little too materialistic to think about buying Christmas stuff in October. Please know I didn't mean to sound critical. LOL 😂 Over on Instagram we were talking about how the early bird gets the worm! If you find something you like for decor you better snatch it up or it’s gone! That’s why we show videos early! Also to give others inspiration! I know most people don’t decorate until after Thanksgiving, but that’s not how it works in business (hence why all the stores already have product out). If I don’t want to be late to the game, I have to show it early also. Anyways, no worries, every video is not every persons cup of tea, and I’m totally ok with that! It's ugly here in St. Pete, Leslie. No power, but my family is fine. Our house is next to a motel that is muffling the sound and some wind. My garage that was converted to living space will need to have water shop vacced out, but we moved furniture after it flooded during Helene. Not fretting about the woodshop side! Lots of folks will be dealing with this for a long time! Keep those prayers coming, Friend! 🙏 Julie
