As a non-native-speaker I was noticing to-overhaul-something-phrase, most often around movies, tv, etc. I like - at a loss for words, too. I think I will find a place for this phrase in my vocabulary )
*1. [BE CUT OUT FOR]:* _It's a good fit=Thích hợp cho._ E.g: I'm not cut out for this kind of business. He's not cut out for this line of work. *2. [Intravenous] [To be (still) on an IV]:* _When someone's in the hospital and the doctors connect tubes to their vains = truyền tĩnh mạch._ E.g: My uncle's still on an IV. Her mom is getting better by being on an IV. *3. [Approachable/ Down-to-earth]:* _Friendly, Easy to talk to, Someone that's not arrogant=Dễ gần, chân chất, thật thà._ E.g: He's way more down-to-earth than i thought My boss is really approachable/down-to-earth *4. [To be at a loss (for words)]:* _When you don't know what to say=Không nói nên lời; Cạn lời._ E.g: They're at a loss. We're at a loss for words. *5. [A complete overhaul]:* _Something needs to be fixed from the inside out=tu sửa hoàn toàn._ E.g: This place needs a complete overhaul The engine needs to be overhauled They need to overhaul the healthcare system in the United States. I'm so grateful to have teachers like you two. Love from Vietnam ❤
Kevin what a great lesson, I liked it a lot. I didn’t know these expressions, and the examples of real life make them easier to understand and to remember when to use them!! You guys are so brilliant !! Congrats for your success!! I have several friends who are following you and have subscribed to your channel. Thank you !! Very truly yours, Nancy
many thanks for helping me! one of the improvements I've made is that I now feel a100% confident when pronouncing some words, since I listen to your lessons..
Hi Kevin and Liza, could you make a video about different pronunciations of the letter P? I know the aspirated and the silent P. In some cases it sounds to me that it‘s pronounced differently, for example at the end of words like cop, almost like a ‘stop p’. Thanks in advance. Chris
The way I see it, those two words are not totally interchangeable. Approachable = friendly and easy to talk to. Down-to-earth = approachable + others qualities like being practical and reasonable. Mind you, both of these two words are relevant when it comes to talking about a boss.

My English needs a complete overhaul
Hi Kevin & Liza! cut out for / cut out to... It seems to be the same meaning. Please don"t cut out your good videos ;-)
Thanks. A doubt, Can I use approachable and down-to-earth interchangeably?
The way I see it, those two words are not totally interchangeable.
Approachable = friendly and easy to talk to.
Down-to-earth = approachable + others qualities like being practical and reasonable.
Mind you, both of these two words are relevant when it comes to talking about a boss.
Kevin never calls those short vowel sounds “schwa sound”! Is “schwa sound” expression used in American English?
Yes, the healthcare system in the US needs to be overhauled.
when I google haul pronunciation it says: haal.
overhaul is a difficult world to pronounce especially when the internet suggests incorrect pronunciation
I don't know when will i learn speaking like Americans
