I went through my entire higher education experience with zero pedagogical courses...and I ended up getting a PhD in history. I remember being disappointed in grad school when my TAship had no educational coursework or training. They just threw us into the sections and told us to do "discussion activities." It was only after getting into TEFL that I was exposed to more teaching methodology (and now aiming to obtain my teaching license). Thank you for what you do, Dr. Jasper. I am a big believer in the old adage, "better late than never." 👍

Indeed! It's never too late. I learned a ton during my reading endorsement when I was already teaching. Sometimes we have to piece together education and experiences to get the full picture. I bet your PhD in history makes you an awesome teacher. Those kind of research skills go a long way, especially when teaching students how to find relevant and reliable info. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. :)
