This podcast is so validating. I made the mistake of being open with my own mother about the fact that I chose to smoke early in my pregnancy and she blew up on me calling me selfish and disgusting. I didn’t see it that way. She actually kicked me out of her house and I ended up living in my car pregnant. To this day that was such chasm in our relationship and remains a source of deep trauma for me. I feel like now she’s starting to realize how common it actually is. We talk again but I never really forgave her for that. Even if we had different opinions she could have still handled it differently. Now she admits I am a better mother than she ever was (she’s had five children two of which don’t speak to her)… I spend my time with my children. I have raised them on mindfulness and meditation. They’re amazing children with beautiful spirits. I pour myself into them. I don’t regret anything.
We are born with all of the eggs we will have for life, so are our mothers, grandmother's and so forth, so all of that energy, all of the struggles and things they've faced and went through gets passed to us because we were with them every step of the way. Doing the work is so important. "As within so without."
Imani helped me sooo much I realized I was doing everything else for validation instead of things that brought me true joy !! When I started to sing again just for myself omg I felt so free it’s the best I felt since 4 years old imani is the real deal !
Yawl sat there & talked too long before Imani got to talk .. weird much .. Cuh was NOT feelin the vibes & energy & I’m not either .. if you been following Imani you know she was not with the shit from the jump 😂😂 .. they not her cup of tea lol
Right at about the 1 hour mark I immediately began to get emotional and cry. I have debilitating anxiety and I’m trying everything in my power to ensure that he is not an anxious young man.
I saw this comment in the beginning and wondered why. I’m here now and I totally see why! Yo, if you have any other trauma before you have a child it will most definitely inform your postpartum. I feel with you babe.
Already listened to the audio couldn’t wait for the video to come out!! I love you IMANI 💕💕💕 Blessings to all three of you for all that you are and do!
By far my favorite episode and spirit was def speaking to me. I’ve had similar things on my mind and I haven’t been believing in my strength but one of my mottos is “Trust yourself” it’s something I’m really working hard on. Thanks ladies. Ps. I’m not a mom lol. But I stay tuned in because I still relate in a big way.
never a better title to a podcast. you ladies are lovely and i very much enjoyed this episode. Great to listen to while plugging away working from home
I love that question "do we pray to ourselves" bc I use to question this growing up esp being in a strict household that attended church every Sunday but now do not attend any church service
Only here because y’all made my girl Imani uncomfortable. She’s clearly uncomfortable, next time learn your guest before bringing them on. It’s been 2min in and Imani has not said one word ! You guys didn’t even speak to her or ask how she’s feeling.

After saying all those mental illnesses were “made up” and post partum depression didn’t exist smh I can’t 🤦🏾♀️
@@chelseymartinez6781 Exactly and lack of being prepared. And she also apologized for the way she said it. Idk why people only mentions this small part of her statement.
@@assatatene cause I’m really about to watch a Instagram live where she continues to antagonize people with mental illnesses. Idk what live y’all watched but from what I remember she definitely was sayIng that all of that was made up
watching the hood “healer” body language while you’re joking about being a lesbian is priceless since she’s a known homophobe/transphobe. kind of disappointed y’all gave her this kind of platform
She’s really not homophobic though nor is she transphobic. Y’all only listen to bits and pieces that other people put together and never listen to what she says.
@@kaceygrey5368 I think it’s a lack of comprehension honestly. What has she said or done that displayed homophobia and/or transphobia? Honest question.

Good for you 💖. As a parent we should always want our children to be better parents than we are
I love you for posting this and I am sending all the love your way. ❤❤❤

Right
I’m just watching this but if they were going to talk they should have brought her in after.

Me watching this and breastfeeding in the moment and realizing how much I miss weed. #weedisformothers
I love that question "do we pray to ourselves" bc I use to question this growing up esp being in a strict household that attended church every Sunday but now do not attend any church service

why did y'all take forever to introduce your guest?
I loved this interview thank you so much for this 🫶🏾🤎✨

I saw Imani and clicked play so quick 🫶🏽
I love to see Imani thrive! Go girl!!!
Introduce the guest already! Lord, y’all chattered away the first 4 minutes. Chile…
It’s a podcast not a RUclips show. We just happen to post here and we brief our guests before hand. Soooo anyway hope you enjoyed the episode.
3 minutes & 58 seconds went by of mindless chatter before you awkwardly introduced your guest.
Also wayyy too much over talking.
This is soooo true! I was wondering what was happening and the guest looked confused too at that point.
I’m so confused with this intro too.
Light skin curly hair is intimidated by Imani. Y’all weird
CAN YALL GET NOVI BROWN ON THE PODCAST!!!
