- A full review of the Rick Owens Mainline Leather Ramones Sneaker from the FW20 Performa season.
Rick Owens Ramones have a tall tiered midsole and shark-tooth outsole.
The shoe is inspired by the Converse Chuck Taylor, however Ramones differ in many key ways. Unlike Converse, the toe cap material is calf leather instead of rubber.
The shoe comes in both low top and high top versions and sports eyelet vents on the inner side.
Ramones Highs have an extended tongue, while the Lows have a traditional tongue level with the shoe’s profile.
Mainline Rick Owens Ramones have a calf skin leather upper, while the DRKSHDW Ramones, which are made in the same factory in Italy, are composed of more affordable upper materials such as canvas and nylon.
The High has a zipper on the inner side of the shoe, the Low is lace-up only.

As for the sizing - all Ramones and Geos with removable insole are TTS for me as well - I'm 10 us and 43 is just perfect. Tried 42.5 once and I thought I'll break my feet when trying to squeeze them into the Geobaskets.

Hi bro just got those from fw22. They are really more massive than drkshdw version I also have, have added heel taps after 2 days walking this sole is like butter on the sun…

Yeah, the grain leather is definitely more matte and not as shiny. I actually like the grey laces, its a nice change

Would you say most of the recent Ramones both high and low run TTS in your experience? I want to get the recent lows that released. I found them overseas for a lot less but only in full sizes. I feel like that shoe would be miserably if its too loose on feet.

I actually dont have any experience with the lows and never tried them on. I agree that they would be miserable if they're too loose on feet. I'd say TTS (or possibly a half size down if you're a halfsize since you only found them in full sizes), but not entirely sure.
What's size would you go with for a 12?

i have these too and i love them. the lcap leather went crazy. the only thing they didn’t fix on the ramone refresh was the outsole lol. it heel dragged insane after my first wear, and it’s literally the only shoe i own w visible heel drag relative to use.
i also would disagree on ur note about sizing with these! i went TTS and they were huge on me. sized down once and it was perfect. (I’m TTS US 10.5-11, 44 was huge, 43 was perf)
yeah unfortunately the heel drag is a huge issue with Ricks, I'm making a separate video about this
im gonna order these sneakers today but they tell me these run large and im a 6.5 should i size down to a 6?

Are you saying that based on having seen them in person or just from photos online?
@@RickOwensReviews thanks for the response ! I actually had gotten the ones in your video and not too long after I got the LPO ones. I then decided to sell the performa ones ! the LPO ones are full grain leather and I don’t think these are, could be wrong but The LPO ones are on the Rick website & it mentions them being full grain.

@@bananas_toast Ah, I see. Did you have the LCAP or the LDEP? Its definitely a different type of leather than the LPO, but still top quality. Apparently these are bull leather, so they're stiffer at first and take a bit longer to break in, whereas the LPO is calf leather.

at this point just buy a pair of converse. They look so similar now with the flat toebox and the white sole
