I was brought up in a single parent household with my mum writing out a shopping list, adding uo the coat and crossing off enougn till she could afford it. No inherited wealth, 50p pocket money lol, walking cause mum couldnt afford the bus. BUT, unlike the people constantly whining and trying to call themself a victim, i always knew how lucky I was to be born in the time and country that I was and grateful for anything i ever got and my kids are taught the same
I was raised by a physically & mentally disabled single mother, and we got evicted when I was 10 years old.. No one would help us, then they cut all my mothers benefits except 30 quid widow mother allowance a fortnight.. At a young age, I was forced into crime to survive, and i barely had friends because my school clothes were rags, and the school told my friends parents i was taking hard drugs and that there kids shouldn't hang with me..
I walked 5 miles on my own to get to primary school every day, then secondary.. Many times, the teacher would put me in detention making me miss lunch, one if not my only meal a day. So when someone says I'm privileged because I'm white, you're mad..
Hi my family were not rich. I did not realise we were poor until my mother's purse was stolen. No money for food so she dragged our table outside with a for sale sign. The money meant she could get the food. Not a one parent household and father working. Housing costs were very high etc. This was in 1950s. Law abiding family who would not shop lift.
I didnt see any golden cribes in the many womens refuges and batterd wives home me and my sister had to endure , didnt see any in our sink hole estate either .We did see alot of domestic violance , general criminality , drug abuse , armed police at the house and prison visits , burned out houses ,cars, bikes , mattresses and a lot of been hungry and theft.
You are a truly sound bloke bit younger than me but the most respectful and intelligent people can learn a lot you never use you Ethnicity as a weapon well done my name is Ted from Cambridge keep up this great site 👍
I flipping wish id been born into wealth !!!!!we struggled in the 70s and 80s and families are struggling even more nowadays. So who is saying this? They clearly arent from a poor white family!!!
I live in Southampton and used to regularly take the bus through an affluent area where all the middle-class medical students get on to go the hospital to do their training, they are mostly Indian with some Chinese.
I wish ! If you had older brothers you got hand me down's that your mother had repaired, we got one lot of new clothes a year at Whitsuntide. They were for Sunday's or special occasions. We never saw dad at Christmas as he worked at a power station and always worked a shift on the holidays. He did a 7 day week 3 shifts
Most days I cheer myself up by watching US videos of woke meltdowns since Trump won the election or Karens who go head to head with the police and lose.🤣
In Africa black people think all white people are born rich I always laugh when someone says this to me and I comment I better go dig op my mom and ask her where my riches are and what did she do with them
As I've said before on You Tube that people need to learn some social history, the history of the poor and working class. Enclosure Acts whereby they didn't have the right to graze and rear animals on the previously common land. Exacerbated by the introduction of machinery. Draconian poor laws, and the workhouses in the 1800s, some of which existed until the 1900s. In the 1800s there were thousands of homeless children living on the city streets. Some of them working from dawn to dusk selling watercress etc. No protective employment laws. My father lost an eye at the age of 14 while working in a foundry. At the end of his lifesaw him struggle to go to work every day to put food on the table . There was no sickness pay. The things we have today were hard fought for by British people, which those who come here can take advantage of now. I wish they would all just shut up.
A golden crib,I didn’t even have a crib I was put in a draw out of the chest of drawers.😂😂😂
I was ten years old before I realised when my Mum was feeding me and my sister and she said "I'll eat later" that she never actually did.
@@GaryBooth-j5bprivileged because we are loved by parents..

You haven't experienced true darkness, you just weren't rich! Yet you talk down on people who genuinely suffered! You had it easy, you can't speak.
Just because YOU weren't a victim, doesn't mean others can't be, get some perspective..
❤
I came from a very loving family , so I count myself lucky , but as for wealth, we were dirt poor.
Love and health is wealth.
You are one of the only people on here who talks sense.
