      Constantly I didn’t think that was a big deal. I guess it is..
      I can see if I only pulled a van or refer them maybe that question would be valid…. But literally every other video I have a 60’er hanging off the deck lmao! 😅

    For 30 years I would see the iron being delivered to jobs, and now im wondering why they dont stack beams on the flange or upright i guess? It must be about maximizing the density of the load. do you happen to know the actual reason ?

    If hauling steel is what you do, why don’t you have a safety rack on the back of your truck? Just that extra layer of protection. It couldn’t hurt.

      If I was only using straps it might scare me a little more… honestly that’s probably the least of my worries. So many more scarier things to worry about. I trust my judgment on distance and stopping distance naturally.

    Wont you get better mpg if you have taller final gear? I mean driving at 65-70 mph at roughly 1400-1500 rpm in theory should make your mpg lower. At least in Europe most trucks at 90 kmh (limited) are at 1000-1200 rpm. If yours was at that rpm, you should see around 8 mpg, if not above. Again, thats in theory 🤣

    Let my CDL expire years ago. I hardly really drove at all before getting into a different line of work. Really didn't think it would be for me at the time but now I really wish I was living this life. I have a DUI now so I suspect I wouldn't be able to drive professionally for a while anyhow.

      @@T_track it’s not an easy path there’s a lot of variables. I got a big help from the guy I lease my truck to and if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be in the truck I’m in today. But if your credit is good and you do your research and know exactly what lane you want to run it can be done. Gotta believe in yourself.

    How do you get started in a career like this? Getting my CDL in the next couple months. Also, how's the work to life balance? Are you always on the road?

      I drive and it depends sometimes with companies. My company and the one I got my cdl from (CRengland ) minimum time you have to be out is 2 weeks. Unless you get daycad/ local work you are home everyday

      headache racks haven't been a requirement for over 10 years and a typical headache rack wouldn't stop a full load anyway. if chained and/or strapped properly no load should ever move.

      It was 64k, I wish I had a bigger forklift to pick it all at once, but the 30k one I was in will do for now.
