As a level one, you could just hit the reports tab and run the price differential report, which will then give you a list of all cards that are not at the lowest listing. And then from that point you could change them all just as you can do as a level four.
I’m about to become a level 4 seller this week 🎉 I am in search of info on how to navigate the new features that are reserved for Lvl. 4 sellers. Thanks for your videos!
hey i know this a little old video. i just turned level 4 myself today and now researching on the tools i can use. i have to mention as 1-3 levels what i find best to change prices competitively is going to the reports tab price differential report and there to are able to manage your inventory and are allowed to change pricing through there and it shows actual percentage and amount your card is from everyone else this tool maybe even better than the level 4 pricing tool. this helped me a lot in changing pricing. thanks for video! still trying to figure out dynamic shipping
Oh, man, I'm literally producing a video on this same topic right now, just found your video! Excellent information here. One question I can't find any info on - do they still restrict your shipping settings based on your Seller Level?
Thanks for coming by! And as far as I could tell, no. From seller level 1-4 I had my singles kept at .78c shipping simply because it was an affordable price then and I wasn't put under any restrictions as far as shipping settings go. Hitting Level 4 Seller just opens up newer options but you can choose to keep those same settings throughout as far as I know
Level 4 by the end of the month would love a video on the ins and outs of SYP with TCG and how that works and the restrictions involved. Everybody covers "Direct" wich is fine. But NOBODY is covering SYP.
I think the SYP is fine although I'm at a level where I think SYP isn't worth it for me. Maybe for people with hundreds of thousands of cards but I'm pretty small scale right now. If I ever get to that point I'd be happy to do a video on the process behind it :D
Thanks for putting this up. I'm literally just starting and was wondering what was best way to reach seller level 4. Do you think it's best to only sell anything less than $5 because of potential fraud?
Yes that would be the reason. Its also not a huge hit on the wallet. With there not being a dollar amount to how much you need to sell before leveling up, you could easily sell a bunch of staple cards that are cheap and make it to level 4! Glad this video helps!
Does the buyer leaving feedback have any effect on the card arriving based on the EDD? I had one buyer leave a review after the mail took a little longer than normal to get there (I shipped within 48 hours and they left their 5 star-only review around 7 days later) and another buyer who bought a code card (sent view message within hours) leave no review, but I marked as sent. Should I get promoted?
The review doesnt affect the shipment time at all. It usually takes TCGPlayer about a week to confirm that the package was recieved unless you got a bad review or are working on a issue with the customer. If someone doesnt leave a review, it doesnt affect your feedback either so the only thing that would affect your feedback and not allow you to go up a seller level is if you got a bad review
Thank you for making this video I just started learning. I want to sell some cards and I was wondering if tcgplayer would ask you for anything dealing with taxes thanks for the help.
If you make over $600 usd in sales if yiu live in the US, you would need to pay taxes. These range depending on gross sales, but I just like to save 20% of what I make and put it away in a savings account so when tax time comes, I have what I need. Usually its less than what I saved too which is good
Idk if you can share this or not, but one question i was trying to find but i don't think no one is able or willing to share this info but, when someone is freshly new, and don't know where to go for a supplier, where is the best place to go? I was thinking of getting the cards from other stores but it doesn't make since if your trying to get the NEWEST CARDS when they first launch them. If your not comfortable sharing that, then i understand.
@ceemac4168 If you have access to a distributor, you can buy sealed product from them, open it and then sell the singles. Otherwise, you're better off buying boxes online for as cheap as you can get them and doing the same thing
Facebook marketplace isnt too bad of a way to do it if you are looking to just sell the whole thing. Usually if you are looking to offload the entire collection in one transaction, take 10-15% off TCG Low which is the $3767 and that would be a good rate to sell. I'd say I'll take it off your hands if I had that kind of money xD
I just want to off-load all of my cards from 20 years ago. I went through everything I have. Everything over 2$ (added some that aren’t) the quantity is 3533, MIN-$3,767.72, AVE-$6,124.63, HIGH-$96,875.64(no F-ing way). Most high buck are LP or NM (Vesuvan Doppelganger is HP). @CallSign_Alucard Thats alot of cards. No offense but could you maybe not throw an entire list of cards you're selling in a comment. Doesn't work well as far as advertising. Best of luck with your sales though
For sellers that are below level 4 that want something like the pricing tool: Reports > Price Differential. You'll thank me.

@@ceemac4168 either or, as long as you can get them cheaper than msrp
Is there a good way to sell the whole collection without getting screwed? Heck I would sell everything for the $3,767

i feel like i should sell a bunch of stuff for cheap to get off the ground lol.
You absolutely could do that if you wanted.
How to sell a card without losing money?
That entirely depends on what you're selling. I don't have an overall answer for this
pokemon
Went from lvl 1 to level 3 in 9 days. Should be level 4 in about 9 more days based on my current rate of sales
Congrats! Its super easy to reach level 4 so keep at it!
