My guess is that they’re going to test with one train and if the fix looks good. They will apply it to other trains.

Just got home from trip 34 (according to the screen at admissions) this year and there is definitely CP "easter eggs" that they're still making efforts to get it running. And very soon at that.
None of the TT2 ride crew has been there the past 2 days. Touched up mulch same way they did for boardwalk nights, and tons of workers over there, I'll stick with my arbitrary mid august bet. Lets get serious about this. If I'm wrong, a couple CP shirts for you both on me. If I'm right, you both are riding with us (fast lane's on me) because there is nothing more fun for us than making it about other people and making memories. I have a lot of faith in the people behind the scenes. Theyre all humans like us after all!

I said before the ride even opened I was going to wait to see how the trains handled the track. Coming from South Carolina to ride the thing, I have to be certain that the thing is open. That's way to long of a drive to be disappointed.

I dreamt about Top Thrill 2 last night, that she was open and running again. She was one incredible ride.
Can’t wait to finally ride it again
A) I am fairly certain that ODA did not issue a stop order for the ride. They will probably want to reinspect before it reopens if the changes constitute a “major modification”. But knowing that the changes are being made by the manufacturer, ODA will approve. The parties who need to be satisfied are Zamperla and Cedar Point.
B) The use of a UV light suggests dye penetrant NDT, looking for surface cracks. But that process normally requires removing the paint so as not to merely detect cracks in the paint. Perhaps because it is a fresh surface they are short cutting the process: if the paint shows no cracks the steel is almost certainly good; if the paint shows an indication, remove it and re-test the steel.
I’m here now haven’t seen any cycles but a staff member told me they were cycling the silver train last night

I go to Cedar Point in 3 weeks. I'm not holding my breath. I don't think it will be open. At the earliest next season. Should not of went with Zamperla. I'm not surprised at all that it's not working properly.
Been watching every single one of your tt2 videos since it’s opening and just realized I wasn’t subbed! So glad to have updates from you guys! Thanks for always being clear and honest! We appreciate you two so much! I was there opening day and got to see it running in all its glory. So excited for more updates !

Thanks for the update. If they get this straightened out within the next couple of weeks, the prospect of having it successfully run during cold fall days would be a redemption point.

Nobody spreading rumors here. People mistake open convo for rumor spreading too often on here, we very clearly have said in every video cedar point and tony clark are the only official sources.
Thanks for the update Ghoster's much appreciated. I'll be taking another trip there on the 3rd- 7th to reach 18 days at the park this year. I've ran into Beachcliff several times this year, and maybe I'll be able to meet you guy's and " Not Your Normal Guy" this season. I'm betting on Top Thrill 2 reopening in August, that will be a fun way to end the summer. Peace!!

I think silver is the real problem and once it’s cleared the other 2 are already ready to go
If you are correct about this, they should just use the other two while silver is fixed. The lines would be longer; however, IMO, a long wait is better than no ride.
@@eddieholt8222 i want to agree with you but it wouldn’t make sense to run it with only the 2 trains because once they go back to work on the silver it will have to be closed anyway so why open it before having everything finished and ready to go also the state might have blocked it opening until after all trains were certified and ready to go obviously I’m just speculating
If silver is the problem, that means all of them are the problem! These all have the exact same design and parts.

@@GhosterCoasters not with those markings now being made on the track. I believe they have to retrack the whole thing because of the trains scratching the track. It’s still the same track from 20 years ago

In my opinion CP doesn’t think this is a season ending injury. I think Zamperla is working hard on a fix and from this footage they may just have one. Why else would they be running the train. By now, they already ready know what the issue is.
In my opinion they will try the fix on one train, test and if successful retrofit the other 2 trains. If this test proves successful, they will first have to get it decertified and then repair the other trains and test those. I still think we are looking at a few weeks but seeing a train moving on the track is a good sign.

@@GhosterCoasters don’t rely on equipment. Many false positives and they really don’t tell us anything. Been doing this for 30+ years now. Stay away from apps. They’re made for entertainment only.
Im started to now think the old Intamin track on the tower and top hat needs replaced! Which if thats the case then thats 100% on CP why not just replace it last year during the construction?

I agree with you on it being down the rest of the season. Just because they are testing one train and being seen working on other trains doesn't mean they will be repaired, inspected and operating trouble free soon, i think the park knows but doesn't want to lose business.

That is not UV light, that is called a "Handy Scan" it can create a CAD model directly from what you are scanning to compare to the original CAD to see if anything has moved. Also, the sensors on the trains look to be "strain gauges" which can give feedback of any movement (tension/compression) so they are likely monitoring EVERY force on those pieces. Pretty cool actually.

I am worried the wheels are too big and flex...which caused shimmying. Probably have to rebuild the entire bottom of the trains.
Time will tell thats definitely something to ponder though if thats it sheesh lol zamperla got some work to do

Until they come out with details about what was wrong and what they fixed, I am not going near it. They company tried this approach with Son of Beast, Shoot the Rapids, and The Bat. Just saying, we fixed it - it's open isn't enough, and history shows riders paid the price as a result. Bottom line is that we know more about Boeing aircraft, failed Nasa Launches, and Big 3 vehicle recalls than they are letting on, and there is very likely safety reason they are keeping the cause a secret. When Fury 325 developed support beam cracks, it was patrons that reported it to the rideops, if they had found the issue themselves - they would likely be doing the midnight welding routine Wicked Twister was famous for. Sorry, too many coverups for me!

Had someone comment about it, i was running my electro therapy on my knee while recording it hums it was my fault. Other vids don’t hum like that first time i’ve had the comment lol i didnt even notice it but i went back and can hear it clear as day 😂 thank you for letting me know if it continues i’ll send a message

Its the hyper solo x its okay nothing special, my interface is broken so I can’t use my studio setup i have a rode nt1-a I used to work mixing with hiphop artists but I quit a long long time ago 10+ yrs now. Really do appreciate it, I notice it in my headphones bad and i’m surprised you cant hear the water fountain behind me the cats drink out of 😂

I would hope non-destructive testing is being performed on a finished rollercoaster 😂. If destructive testing was being performed on a finished roller coaster structure/train then there’d be no rollercoaster.

Honestly i was using the therapy machine on my knee when recording and the vibration from that is what did it i noticed it halfway in the video there its from that 😂😅 note don’t do my knee therapy while recording 😂

It’s legit my knee electro therapy thing running too close to the mic -__- i fudged up my bad lol. It vibrates and i didnt notice it but the dang mic clearly picked it up 😂
