Im 25 watching this, and the same situation happened when my 2 year high school boyfriend left to another city far away for University. They go to the dorms and see the newness of life and realize that it's a completely different chapter.& then the same thing happened to me as I went into Uni :) It's just life. My advice I found helped me, having gone through this, is to always give this relationship the credit it deserves and look back at it in a good light, but in more of a fairy tale light. Because in a year or so from now in your adult life, it won't have any relevance to adult relationships, which are entirely different.
