  • Testing having both my Mesa Boogie rig and Line 6/Matrix Amplification FRFR rig working in tandem whilst playing along to backing tracks at the show.
The guitar will be sent out of the MESA side whereas the backing tracks will come out of the FRFR side. At the same time I will be able to record what is coming out of my MESA via my helix for use at a later date along with the backing tracks!

Hey Luke, thank you for the review. The Video is now 6 Month old. What is your conclusion after selling the FRFR and switching to a Guitar Cab (one of the comments her). And special for me: I have a Helix Rack and I don't know if i should spend money to a cab/FRFR to bring back the Feeling or switch to Analog. What is your thinking about that?

I am much happier using a guitar cab than I was with FRFR. For me, when playing live the FRFR just didn't feel right on stage compared to a real guitar cab. I love using the helix into a power amp and then either the matrix neolight 212 or my mesa 2x12. I also use my guitar cabs with my real guitar amps and helix using the 4 cable method so I really have all the bases covered.

@@lukeharwood thank you for the fast answer. Is it possible that you make a short Video on the Setup and explain the settings, the difference from the Point of view: Live situation? Every RUclips review is based on recording. Recording means - I have the full controll about everything. Live is different. Maybe you can't talk abaout fails or some other situations.

@@sascha4561 IMO the FRFR will be better if you also use a bass. But that's just me

Is the Helix worth it for a metal/hardcore band? Something more djenty :)

It is totally up to you. I sold this frfr cab and replaced it with a matrix neolight guitar cab as I prefer the raw guitar sound.
