This is the divine music I shall call. Beethoven really concluded the music.
it reminds me of my old days... when i was a child and my parents were young, the moments that nothing was impossible. i am still young but my parents are getting old. i am afraid that my happiness would be vanishing one day... her performance brings me such complicated feelings. so beautiful though.
you are not the only one thinking this way...I feel the same too. but cheer up, happy times are fleeting but we can still hold on to them while we can. It's ok to be afraid but everything will be alright:))
Char Aznable thanks for your sweetness :)
2nd movement 8:28
3rd movement 10:54
4th movement 18:20
even 1st movement starts at 0:00, you should write that one too.
@Esma Saka Thank you so much man. Perfect comment
@@ashtheproducer the 0:00 timestamp doesn't work
Chopin was said to have admired this Sonata and listening to this performance it is not difficult to hear why. Aristocratic poise, elegance and poetry, not to mention the Marcia Funebre and the rippling light brilliance of the finale. Remember, Chopin was not given to dishing out praise to composers other than Bach and Mozart. Thank you Valentina.
he for sure admire beethoven work, altough sometimes he find it vulgar or out of place, certain works of his like the sonata 14, 29,32 and the 7th and 9th symphonies he had great respect for it
@@davidpardo7878 do you have a source for Chopin liking sonata 29? I would call that Beethoven's most vulgar sonata (in a good way!)
@@andrewgrebenisan6141 I hear that he admire the complexity and taught it to his best students, still not sure because i heard it somewhere, but im sure he love the 32 and he considered the patetique 1st movement vulgar, out of place and exagerated in some parts.
@@davidpardo7878 Hm, that is quite interesting! I only recently discovered that Chopin said harsh words about Beethoven's music, even though I always thought he was an admirer because of all of the musical quotations!
@@andrewgrebenisan6141 The best that we can surmise about Chopin's reactions to contemporary and recent composers of his day is that he was largely indifferent to them. We know that he was openly enthusiastic about Bach and Mozart from contemporaries and pupils. Schubert passed him by; Schumann dedicated 'Kreisleriana' to him and he apparently never bothered to open the score let alone play it.
Finally, after days of closure in your home, a little regenerating air that only Valentina can give. Thanks, the need was felt❤️🌹💞😘
Love and peace to you Valentina, you are a beacon of light X
Superb. First 3 listenings of this piece ever over the last week. I hear foreshadowing of chords and progressions to come from him and others. Beautifully brought to sound in this performance.
Thank you Valentina for keeping in my space the authentic Beethoven spirit.
I was shaken by a 5.7 earthquake in Utah this morning. Surprisingly you've released one of the most calming Beethoven sonatas minutes before, Thank you Valentina! You always brighten my day with your videos.
I was practicing piano in Utah when the earthquake shook us. What a lovely, nuanced calming gift to bring us peace and beauty in a disquieting season. Thank you Valentina♥️
I remember when my piano teacher played this sonata a couple years ago. Awesome interpretation of this sonata.
One more sonata to see the new version of "Moonlight". I want to hear it
One of my favorites ❤️, be safe and looking forward to no.13❤️
I especially loved the Left Hand conducting in the final movement! Such Joy after such sorrow!
From the first 5 seconds I knew this is going to be amazing, such emotions can only indicate so !
Excellent! Beethoven is one of my favorite composers.
Grazie! From Italy.
I love her hand at 19:48!
Me too, it is a joy to watch. I only just noticed.
Valentina - another masterpiece! I love this sonate and your performance is wonderful - as are your other RUclips Beethoven performances. Please come to Australia...after the Coronavirus pandemic.
She is really the the best. This álbum with the 32 Beethoven piano sonatas is wonderful.
My goodness. Such contrasting music in this sonata. That beautifully oiled technique and musicianship... very special
The best things on RUclips are the great artists thank you
Especially now
This makes me feel like I'm walking thru the Vatican taking in the sights and feeling the flutter of birds wings around me. Awesome!

Love the ending! Gliding back down to earth after soaring for a while.
Thank you! ❤ we need your music now... it's just like medicine for the soul ❤
Wow! I like this sonata because of beauty of the 1st melody. I am happy you practice this when you stream at RUclips. Thanks Valentina!
I had to repeat three times the "Andante con variazioni". Glorious!!!
I truly believe that you interpret Beethoven’s music exactly as he would have played it himself.
Fantastic!!!
Bravo!Thank you so much!😙🤗
Thank you Valentina for inspiring me to take up the piano again. I will never in a million years play as good as you but you have renewed my interest. Wonderful playing!
Excellent tone and clarity.
Absolutely divine
I just listened to this sonata performed by another renowned pianist who used a much lighter touch like you would playing Bach preludes and fugues. As expected, I am pleased that you perform this with more expressiveness and variety of playing into the keys. It's perfect and thank you!
Stay safe everyone! 💚😌💚
I love this sonata.
Thanks Valentina
I think this piece was the very bridge to romanticism.... very beautiful and so heavenly... and if you read about Beethoven.. you’d get a close understanding as to where this tunes were coming from... and thank you ms valentina .. such a heavenly sound
I love second movement :) Thank you Valentina ❤️💕🤍💜 And please to be healthy !!!!! Be careful of the Covid19 🙏💓
There's dark times coming ahead of us, be strong people.
Nothing like #12 in in A♭ major to lift my spirits. Thanks! Love the variations.
For me, the first movement of this work is the true gem. Your performance is so masterful, but what I love best about watching you is the raw emotion behind each performance. You simply amaze me....the ease with which you play and the amount of love you give each note is just beautiful to watch!!! BRAVO!! ~Jackie
And the last.. in fact, everything in between as well - very coherent
@@luckylicks3497 :-) She's incredible!
my favourite beethoven sonata is this NO.12 and NO.32
Yay! I now want to learn this. A wonderful piece and a wonderful pianist too :)
Pure beauty.
freezing and crying emotions
Really like the first movement especially. After listening to it so many times it was getting a bit boring but your version sounds "fresher" somehow.
relaxing
Merci pour cette douceur ❤
Wow.... very good 😊👍👍 thank you
Beautiful.....just what we need right now!
Beautiful Ma'am & as alway's thank you for this gift Valentina

Love the black&white videos. Keeps focus on the musical performance 👍

Healing hearts with music 😁
I can't wait for your tempest on Sunday!!!
Is the concert still permitted?
Yeah She trusts the quarantine system in Korea so decided to go ahead with the concert
@@user-hl8rj3jh3t Enjoy the occasion! The concert will be one of very few worldwide. I was thinking of government restrictions. Australia has banned events over 100 people and requires 14 days isolation for all arrivals.
thanks
A number of concerts in Seoul have postponed, either...

8:54 both Beethoven and Valentina fucking hitting God levels! holy shit.
😍😍😍
Nice! Very beautiful music! I am your fan :)
If Spielberg did a film on this it would be called Theme and Variations of the Andante Kind. Richard Dreyfus as LV Beethoven, François Truffaut as an admiring F Chopin ,and Adrienne Campbell in a cameo as Antonie Brentano.
As usual Valentina's Beethoven transcends criticism.
i love you valentina
It doesn't matter that this video is in black and white because the colours are in the music, especially that most sublime of verses at 6:30
Hello i am a big fan from south korea! I heard you are doing a recital in seoul! I will come to your recital! I am really looking forward to it! If you read this, please forgive for my bad english i am korean lol

As live events are cancelled worldwide (but maybe not Seoul on Sunday?) I look forward to these weekly recitals.
Hoping this is not too far off topic: Melbourne Symphony Orchestra have moved to live streaming, free on RUclips. I hope it becomes a habit. One day, maybe, with Valentina. On stage, that is, not a video mash up:-)
Thank you 🤩Valentina for your musique alway awesome it is good this help us in that sad period of confinement the music is already threre . i play piano all the day 🥵 perhaps i will become virtuose l 🤭
The first movement is very difficult ....
R u doin the cycle
2nd movement is really too fast😢. Last could be faster even.
im playing this but onli got the fist mov xD
Valentina. Love you and your interpretations. But you missed it on the allegro. I think you are into Vivace and just not leaving time to absorb the movement.
I understand your concerns, but I think: Valentina wants 'to do what is unthinkable. Death and RESURRECTION!'. She don't want to reflect on the Marcia!
LIFE, that's what she wants!! JOY!
Such contradictions often exist by Beethoven.
Como estas linda
Adverts between movements! 🙁
