Wolfgang Seidel: ICC Berlin

A few weeks ago I passed by the "Internationales Congress Centrum Berlin" - abbreviated ICC Berlin.
This gigantic example of brutalist architecture is located in the Westend close to Funkturm. Build in 1979 it is said to be one of the largest conference centres in the world. In April 2014 it was closed in order to remove asbestos contamination. In October 2021, it was temporarily reopened for the art project "The Sun Machine Is Coming Down" (ceecee.cc/en/t.... Except for this event the ICC is dormant and it's future undecided. I could only take photos from the outside of the massive building. A friend of mine happened to be at the "Sun Machine" event and provided me with pictures from the inside.
The Soundtrack - I was too lazy to browse through endless hours of my archived music. I just took the last recording. A test of my newly bought Buchla 258t oscillator. It's eerie sounds fit well with a building that looks like an alien spacecraft has landed.
