I did the chicken thing, I put them under cattle panel frame with greenhouse plastic. I did have to change the deep bedding, by scooping out, and adding new. It kept them dry and still protected. As soon as it got warmer I moved them on grass. It has worked well for years. Just had 6 hens. The bonus was all the plants that came up in the spring from the scraps given to chickens. I had a ton of tomatoes growing free. Just had to water under the tunnel some.
