    I'm 26, I rode a Pulse Adrenaline 125 for 3 years when I was 17 to 20.
Been on a CB500 for the past few years but knew it just wasnt my 'dream' bike.
Been wanting a DRZ400 for a long time now and I am please to say yesterday I became an owner.
    £2300, 12 months MOT, 13500 miles and a 2008 SM K7 model.
I am so happy with it, it's everything I thought it would be, the way the power/torque is delivered compared to my CB is insane, can't believe it supposedly has way less power.
Anyways I just wanted to say thanks for all the tips and advice on your channel mate, been watching for a long time. Thanks man!

I drove many big bikes before I got the chance to drive a TT600. Exactly the same feeling you described and I bought one. But.....in about a year I got tired of it for obvious reasons (Great for fun in town but not practical at all) and sold it again. Once in a while I still want one but then as a second bike.

I recently got myself a used BMW G3193r to get myself back into biking at 73. Loved being back with the sound of the little engine purring away. However, will biking ever be the same once we go electric. I doubt I will ever see it anyway but it will not be the same. I started biking in the 1960's on old British bikes and later on Japanese until about 15 years ago, my last being a BMW R100RS. My son is in the process of getting a full M/C license at the age 27. He has got the bug after me getting my bike. As you have said, why are there so few new bikers on the road. I think the cost and very drawn out route to getting a full license could be the reason. Great channel. John

I get where you're coming from but I totally disagree with "loud pipes save lives". The other day I had a slash cut Harley filter past me and I could only hear him as he passed. I don't think any amount of sound can overcome the sound proofing in any relatively modern car. Add in music blasting or kids screaming and you've no hope. In short, don't just ride like everyone else is blind, play like they're deaf as well.

    • @Meifesto
      @Meifesto 3 года назад +1

In my experience, most walkers and cyclist can hear you coming on a zero or livewire, as long as they aren't listening to music, but then they won't hear your exhaust either ;)

Great video. I just found your channel and can't wait to look at some of your other content. The price of the this bike dose not really deter me. My dream bike is a Ducati XDiavel which is similarly priced. I like that the XDiavel is a bit of a red headed step child that no one wants to claim lol. I also like the low seating feat forward riding position. I am also taller at 6'4" so that seating position is very comfortable to me. An electric version of an XDiavel would be amazing. At this point I think the only thing that deters me for now from electric bikes is range and charge time. When they can get to 250 miles and 30 minute charge times then I can feel good about longer trips. Like you said we are not that far from it. Battery tech is evolving exponentially. Love your content and cant wait to see more. Also if you get your hands on an XDiavel I'd love to see your review on it! :)

The acceleration is mental isn't it!? I love that it sounds like some sort of speeder bike from Star Wars under heavy acceleration (typed this before you mentioned pod racing).
They're heading in the right direction with charge times. Bit better range and a more reasonable price, they would be worth having.
Maybe they should fit a lightning rod, free and full instant recharge if you get struck hehehe

I love mine. To get the fastest 0-60 you need to put the traction control into Sport mode, and be at 100% SOC, and then you should be seeing about 3.85s on a dry road.

I very much can't wait to be able to justify an electric bike for my fleet. I think in reality, being a multi bike owner, I could get an electric bike and be able to use it quite a lot, but I couldn't currently have one if it were my only bike. Looking forward to your more in depth look at this mate! :-)

Guessing here... The problem with the brake pedal being in the wrong place for Spicy is probably because the seat height AFAIK is only 787mm (31") (hooray for us short-arses) and Spicy is a lanky long legged....rider
Said it before (and I'll repeat it again for any motorcycle manufacturers/designers capable of reading and understanding this) - there must be billions of potential riders out there (including our Asian friends where most of the major brands are built) who can't safely ride (foot down when stationary) a KTM/Honda/Suzuki/Yamaha (or other) Adventure style bike. Billions of lost opportunities I say.
Yes us short-arses can ride cruisers, sports, some street but hardly any adventure.....why?

IF.. and i mean IF there was either a commission/group set up to standardise, or all the electric vehicle manufacturers got their acts together and work 'for the betterment of vehicle futures'... GET ALL the charging stations into ONE INTELLIGENT charging system, where you plug whatever vehicle into a charging station, and both the vehicle and charger units computer work out what charge mode/voltage/ampage best to use then simple, EVERY charger would be accessible to EVERY electric vehicle. I guess, its a modern day equivalent to VHS/Betamax wars.... 🤔😒😒😒
