- What's up Everyone, Erik here from Hardware For Gamers. Today I’m getting my NAVI on, with the Gigabyte RX5600XT Gaming OC.
I’m going to be splitting the content for this card into three videos. This one,
The more technical one, where I’ll be taking a look at how the cooler and GPU perform. And after that I’ll be doing a teardown of the card.
I also have a video on the out of the box gaming performance. You can check that out here. • GIGABYTE RX 5600XT GAM...
Finally the third video, where I’ll be overclocking the card. To see how far this card can be pushed. Witch will likely involve flashing the BIOS. Make sure to subscribe so you don't miss that.

Have same card rev.01 and is giving me windows loop til siistem repair show up, that hapens if I install drivers even without adrenalin software. Any solution ?
Are you overclocking the card or have you flashed the BIOS? Try updating the drivers. The last set of drivers seemed to fix the adrenalin software.
@@HardwareForGamers nah not oc' and yes my card came with f60 bios and problem was there and I update it to f61 but same happens, triyed also 20.9.1 but no luck eather. Onli thing i can do is wait for three freezes on cold boot and there will be windows repair and puts me to safe mode ,after safe mode i restart and enter bios first then i can get it to work but only without adrenaline software just drivers. :( ( btw when I am in windows after 3rd boot freze card operate normal without problems)
So you have no overclocks on CPU or RAM too? That is some weird shit... Did you ever have another card in that system? Have you tried DDU? To completely remove the drivers?
@@HardwareForGamers loaded optimised settings in bios ( so no oc setings on ram or Cpu ) and yes I had Vega 56 before this card, DDU drivers before installing this card and reinstalled chipset drivers as well but no luck. As I sad before card operate perfectly and if I uninstall drivers and let windows install basic video driver then card is entering sistem without loops
Sounds like a software issue, but if it's on the Windows side or AMD side not sure. Are you running multiple monitors? Or how old is your windows install?
how do i check my gpu bios name
"I accidentally removed the thermal pads from the back of my Gigabyte RX 5600 XT Gaming OC 6G. Could
this cause any issues? Also, what is the correct thickness (mm) for the
replacement pads?"
Please answer me 🥺
@@abdoelnhasmostafa4000 without the pads the temperatures will most definitely be hotter. I'm not sure what the pad thickness is ... Sorry. They might be 3mm but I'm not sure, but I'm not sure.
@HardwareForGamers
"I have removed the thermal pads on the back of the card, not the ones for the VRAM."
Why do you think Gigabyte opted stainless steel for the cold plate? Is steel really that cheap?
Yes. Steel is cheaper than aluminum and much less than copper
With that memory chip on the back of the boar, I don't think is a good candidate for a Kraken water cooling solution, or at least don't look like.
I'm getting one of these, do you recommend I open and repaste it with Arctic Silver 5 or should I wait a while before? Would that net any temp improvements?
I didn't see any real temperature improvements in my testing.
@@HardwareForGamers alright, thanks, I'll just let it go for a couple years or until it actually needs new paste. btw your channel is great and you deserve more subscribers, keep it up!
will you include how to flash the new bios for the card i have the exact same card and im really stuck on how to flash it to 14gbps. this would really help
Yes, that video will be out this Saturday night (July 4 2020)
@@HardwareForGamers ok ill wait until then, thanks for replying btw
Hello great video btw
Hey, thanks
Hi I’m planning on getting a RX 5600 XT paired with a Ryzen 5 2600. I will be playing Fortnite on all low settings 1080p. Keeping that in mind how much FPS do you think I will get? Any help would be appreciated
I'm putting together the same system, won't be playing Fortnite but my guess at low with max view distance in around 250?? I would recommend trying to get a good kit of RAM too, 3200 MHz or 3600 MHz.
do you have solution for the heating memory
New thermal pads worked
@@HardwareForGamers How many mm are the thermal pads?
@@ernestorocolillo8087 I'm pretty sure they're .5mm
@@HardwareForGamers Hi i just came across this vid. all pads you think are .5mm or some thicker? thanks for the help!
