Gotta say anything confirming into CANNON or just raw CANNON confirms are so satisfying. My boy straight up throwing bricks at people. Very useful guide to catch back up to season 5. Thanks for the time stamps, makes it easy to find the confirms im looking for.
Extremely useful, thanks. I'd like to add a bit of advice I think is relevant for beginners here. Don't be stubborn about landing any of the combos shown here before you activate your v-trigger. Dying with a full v-gauge, that won't carry into the next round, is way worse than you sucking your pride and raw activate if you are about to lose. As a plus any combo done while your v-trigger is active will deal more damage than if you had activated it during the combo.
So you're basically advocating popping V Trigger when you're about to lose, just for the chance of robbing the hard work of your opponent. I think there's something slightly toxic about that mindset. Personally it's not about pride, more so like an unspoken code of conduct. If I didn't have enough skill (or work hard enough) to create opportunities where popping V Trigger makes sense, personally speaking, I deserve to lose that round to you.
@@mappybc6097 Well that's the point, you NEED to lose in order to improve. Players need to learn how to create those game winning opportunities authentically, emergency popping VT, button mashing on wake up etc are not viable long term.
@@Ytremz Except it is viable. Being conservative with meter 9 times out of 10 will get you killed in SF5. Even seasoned pros lose rounds because they choose not to spend CA to make sure a combo will kill or because they become too predictable looking for a VT activation on hit/block instead of raw activating. And regardless of how you feel about comeback mechanics they are not cheats, devs deliberately put them in the game, so why on earth would you not want to use them?
when you do cr. mp, your directional input should be down forward, then when you do dp, all you have to do for the directional input is go down back to down forward. thats the shortcut. lmk if that works for you
Hi I just started playing SF V seriously. I don't know what many of the abbreviations used in the video mean. What does the S or C before the move mean? Standing and Crouching? What about Kara? If you could link a guide with all the terminology (I found one but it doesn't have all the ones you used) I would greatly appreciate it
when u input the hk.kara, ur already inputting the first motion of tk, so after u input hk.kara, all you have to do is input: down, down forward to finish the motion of tk and it should come out. keep in mind with hk.kara, you have to input the motion pretty quick cause the window is smaller with hk.kara. hopefully this helps
Hey Acosta I have real trouble getting crounching medium punch to tiger knee. Any tips on how to execute it? I am using fight stick, still getting used to it tho. 50% of the times I trigger the ex ultra accidently.
@@Optitius it just means vskill 1 or 2 were already loaded up before the combo was performed. vskill 1 and 2 change the properties of tiger uppercut or knee respectively and so some combos require that you have vskill loaded before you do the combo
Kara mk= forward mk, Kara hk= forward hk Kara mk hits low, Kara hk hits high Both can be canceled into fb or dp Kara mk is slower and Kara hk is faster Hopefully that answers ur question
I was a VS1/VT1 man all this time but I'm gonna start trying some of the stuff you showed here with VS2. Looks like there are a lot more damaging combo routes with VS2? Gonna start messing with it now. But landing those VS1 DPs is sooooo satisfying tho Good stuff man!
True Street Fighter players all say SFV sucks. Myself included. This looks like slugs fighting. In Capcom's effort to "modernize" the game...they destroyed it.

Nice! Didn’t know how much more useful F+MK is after the patch. Thanks for sharing
Glad i can help! Big fan of your stream 👌🏽
you my friend have done gods work. thank you for this
👌🏽
i highly apprciate this thank you for the effort. I'm trying to do more kara cancels but it will take some time.
This is my bible now. Thank you, so much!
THE BEST VIDEO SAGAT COMBOS! THANK YOU MY FRIEND.
🤙🏽
I didn't even think Sagat could have setups this is just what I need to give me that little push into gold thanks!
glad to help !
You can get into gold just by anti airing
@@horplesmoff update dont play sagat anymore im a low diamond menat now, all thanks to anti airing ironically.
Thanks to this video I decided to learn this character...

Activating V-trigger from a fireball or a normal move is even better, even if you're not looking to land a combo 👍

Amazing work bro, Sagat is my favorite character as Ryu too, i'll study this combos to up rank. Thanks for the help ✌🏻
Beginner tip, try slowing this video down to 1/4 speed and then muting it. Much easier to follow.
karra is the cancel on the forward medium kick right? do these still work?
Yes
I just started playing sagat, and I’m having trouble doing dp motions from crmp consistently. Any tips?

Never mind I tried doing these and I could barely do the basic ones :( I guess I'm just not cut out for fighting games :((
amazing video, thank you!

amazing combos my friend
I am really struggling with the HK.KARA into the TK. Any tips on how I can get it down? Btw awesome video👍.

Ohhhhh okay it’s coming out consistently now. Thanks for the help. Now I just gotta practice.
I would also recommend enabling frame data in Training Mode.
Thanks for the video! Can you do a kage?
with vs2, is there any reason to do h-kara m.tigerknee into exp dp versus raw h.tigerknee into exp dp? hard always does more damage. thank you!

Yup, all you got to do is point the stick ↘️ when u hit MP then go ⬇️↘️ to get the tiger knee. That’s the short cut
@@AcostaStyle that really helpfull, couldnt get it before
i dont understand, what changes when you say `VS1 loaded or VS2 loaded´ ? what is changed when is v meter is full ??
he means you have vskill 1 or 2 set up already (before the combo)
@@alex-ve6ke i still dont understand... i see the same combos as before.. ??

I think it lacks the VS2 VT2 602 damage combo...
How can you choose whether to use Kara with mk or HK? What's the difference?
Kara mk= forward mk, Kara hk= forward hk
Kara mk hits low, Kara hk hits high
Both can be canceled into fb or dp
Kara mk is slower and Kara hk is faster
Hopefully that answers ur question
They can also be canceled into tiger knee
@@AcostaStyle that makes so much more sense now. I had been wondering this for so long. Thanks
Do you have a favorite v trigger or skill? Is it match up dependent? What's your strategy for picking which one?
My go to now is vs2 vt1. I never really use vt2. But for certain matchups vt2 is preferred
@@AcostaStyle interesting, thanks

Good stuff man!
how do I get the tiger knee into dp in the corner? I can't get it done.
you have to use light tk in order to follow up with either ex dp or vs1 m.dp. if you use m tk or h tk, it wont work
@@AcostaStyle thank u for the answer. I got it now. just have to work on the input timing
No problem 👌🏽
I've just subscribed, please do more Sagat combos please, especially vs2
Ill try to see if theres any more combos routes with vs2
