      Come see in Philippines, we have a lots of it... different varieties. We have jaguar, china, thailand, sweet 16, 18 yellow and red. Some of it up to 10 or 12kg... especially on summer. You gonna loved it.

      I’m growing these this year, but they are actually small compared to some of the melons we grew up eating in Florida. 😂 Look up the “Rattlesnake” variety, or the “Carolina Cross”. You have to plan out space in the fridge for sure!

    I am getting my watermelon ready. May 20th I hope to have them in the ground. This is a varity that probably wouldn't do well where I am. Too wet I think.

    maybe you could do some seeds maybe 14 days later so you dont have this much water melons at one time unless you have enough hunchy family to get rid of them yummy looking ones^^

    Hi I love the video, encouraging me to try to plant some next season. I live in the Mojave desert and it seem like most plant that are supposed to thrive in full sun die here. How often do you water? Are the seeds easy to find online? Have a great day!

    • @jobelb.garcela9476

      I don't know the temperature up there but as long as the weather gets better ( Not so much cold in the Spring ) ( 65 to 70 degrees ) early spring or late spring, then it's time to plant seedlings propagated inside the green house or indoor house.
      Everyday watering is advisable during hot weather but to retain some moist, it should be covered with a little bit thick mulch to avoid evaporating the water instantly. Tree leaves or mowed grass is an ideal cover mulch, instead of buying them at Home Depot.
      www.rareseeds.com is where I ordered my seeds.

    I'm also in 9B, and I'm wondering about how many melons you'd expect to get in a season on a plant the size of the one under the mulberry.

    Does anyone know if you will get the same melon by using the seed that you took out of the desert water melon? Because sometimes you buy a hybrid seed and I think when using the seeds from these hybrid fruits, they won't be the same fruit.

    • @mojav3dlab739
      @mojav3dlab739 6 месяцев назад +1

      These are heirloom melons, so the seeds will produce the same fruit as the parent plant.
