As a vocalist, I'm often fairly impressed by Kpop idols having stable vocals in a live performance. The amount of training and practice necessary to pull off stable vocals while your body is moving energetically is underappreciated. That being said, the fact that Jongho was able to pull of those scaled high notes after TWO dance breaks is baffling to me. Truly, Jongho is beyond talented, he's skilled and professional. Best male vocalist of the 4th gen, don't @ me

@@maroontiny2345 Yes, in music an octave is the same note but higher or lower. For example, an A to the next higher A would be an octave (ABCDEFGA). Jongho does a full octave. An octave that high in his range without going into his falsetto, and so powerfully, is impressive. Just to compare, as a soprano I can do about three octaves overall. To get that range you would have to include his falsetto. He could maybe hit 1.5 to two octaves without it. Just guessing as I am not a man.

Yeah -they actually only had I think 2 days to put everything together-and it was a genius idea-instead of making a completely new choreography-they put together ones they knew and it worked !! While also adding the original songs choreography-it was a smart move as it showcased ateez potential,stage presence and talent to the domestic audience

This ia the hardest show to win especially for idol groups, only 6 groups have one since the beginning of the show, usually only veteran or balad singers win.. and Ateez are still rookies.. amazing
I can't be the only one that started bawling emotionally at: 1. Yeosang's center part: he's finally getting the spotlight he deserves - I can't help crying as his dance shines on stage 2. Jongho hitting the high notes: best. 4th gen. singer. In my heart, he's no. 1. I just get extremely emo when YOU see Turbo and everyone being shook by his vocals. 3. San going full demon and stage king, knowing his parents are going to be watching their favorite show EXCEPT he's the performer and winner T.T AND just the fact that Ateez is getting recognition by everyone for their stage, talent, vocals, dance, presence, etc, and appearing on such a popular show gets me in tears. Jongho is one of the best vocalists in this generation of kpop and ateez are one of the best if not the best 4th gen group. Eight all rounders in one group, no one is doing it like ateez
So here's what we got in this performance: Hongjoong: good at all position Seonghwa: His voice here literally sounded like honey. Also those pants are shining brighter than my future Yunho: His dancing always kills us and this performance proved it. Also I loved his small part with Hj. And his vocal part was freaking *chefkiss* Yeosang: He always ends up looking soft during some parts and that's what separates him from others. Also let's appreciate center Yeosang. And we also got to hear his deep voice San: With that lipstick he gave me joker vibe. Would love to see Joker San again. And his vocals proved again why he is lead vocalist of the group Mingi: We finally got dancer Mingi at center. Wooyoung: We got Will you be my friend pt2. Here's fun story: days before ATEEZ performed Black Cat cover I was expressing my excitement on twt and said if they win it would be awsome, then someone (I'm assuming they're Korean because they knew so much abt the show, but I could be wrong) anyways, they replied and said: "There's no way ateez can win on Immortal Songs, it's hard for even 3rd generation groups to win, they should be greatful they're allowed on the show" Moral of the story: "Never Underestimate the Power the Underdogs, aka ATEEZ" Edit: svt, mamamoo, btob are the only 3rd gen that won, the point that person was making is that it's hard even for 3rd gen groups to win cuz many of them participated but didn't win (some of them went 4 times but never won) only 5 groups won ateez is 6th Of course the other two are Ze.a (I don't know if they're 3rd gen) and Wanna One (a group which is no longer active)
I hope you notice that they are really doing it live despite the intense choreography.Their live vocal improved so so so so much . Jongho , Yunho and Seonghwa always got a stable vocal . But if you focus on San. He sing it all live this time. You can hear wooyoung stability is improving and he tried really hard . And yeosang , it was really hard to hear his vocal as he wasn’t confident enough before , he did really great this comeback ! They always make Atiny proud
I was looking for this comment. You can really hear their voices this time. The backing track is much lower because of the nature of the show and I'm super happy for it because I always have to struggle to hear them. Especially because their performance are usually so intense so they sing softer.
San's voice reminds me of INFINITE L. As time passes, these two improved a lot during live session and even becoming one of the lead vocalist. San sounds realllllly stable here!!

The way Jongho, 19 yrs. old who did not undergo any vocal training not until recently, and the maknae of the group who slayed and belted that stable and powerful G#5 note (without using falseto) is the biggest flex of the century.
i agreee and sannie who don't even know how to dance during pre debut slayed his performance and showed a demonic stage presence with his creepy facial expressions that matched the theme of their performance. ❤️

An octave that high in his range without going into his falsetto, and so powerfully, is impressive. Just to compare, as a soprano I can do about three octaves overall. To get that range you would have to include his falsetto. He could maybe hit 1.5 to two octaves without it. Just guessing as I am not a man.

There will be no revivals) the choreo call backs, Choi Jongho taking wigs and scalps, the holy visuals all around, that hair on Yeosang, Wooyoung being all of our dreams, San's acting, the outfit on Yunho. ALL of these things AND a win? I don't even know where we, as a fandom, go from here. ATEEZ keeps leveling up. You think it can't get better and they tell you hold their beer. I SWEAR ATINY stay winning. This is the ultimate stan. There can be no others. Put this on loop for the rest of my life.

3. San going full demon and stage king, knowing his parents are going to be watching their favorite show EXCEPT he's the performer and winner T.T

it's not an ateez performance without mingi's ''fix on'' and their powerful dance
Jongho is one of the best vocalists in this generation of kpop and ateez are one of the best if not the best 4th gen group. Eight all rounders in one group, no one is doing it like ateez
So here's what we got in this performance:
Hongjoong: good at all position
Seonghwa: His voice here literally sounded like honey. Also those pants are shining brighter than my future
Yunho: His dancing always kills us and this performance proved it. Also I loved his small part with Hj. And his vocal part was freaking *chefkiss*
Yeosang: He always ends up looking soft during some parts and that's what separates him from others. Also let's appreciate center Yeosang. And we also got to hear his deep voice
San: With that lipstick he gave me joker vibe. Would love to see Joker San again. And his vocals proved again why he is lead vocalist of the group
Mingi: We finally got dancer Mingi at center.
Wooyoung: We got Will you be my friend pt2. And he sounds so amazing *chefkiss*
Jongho: This boy is always killing me with his highnotes. He needs to go on masked singer asap.

Here's fun story: days before ATEEZ performed Black Cat cover I was expressing my excitement on twt and said if they win it would be awsome, then someone (I'm assuming they're Korean because they knew so much abt the show, but I could be wrong) anyways, they replied and said: "There's no way ateez can win on Immortal Songs, it's hard for even 3rd generation groups to win, they should be greatful they're allowed on the show"
Moral of the story: "Never Underestimate the Power the Underdogs, aka ATEEZ"
Edit: svt, mamamoo, btob are the only 3rd gen that won, the point that person was making is that it's hard even for 3rd gen groups to win cuz many of them participated but didn't win (some of them went 4 times but never won) only 5 groups won ateez is 6th

I hope you notice that they are really doing it live despite the intense choreography.Their live vocal improved so so so so much . Jongho , Yunho and Seonghwa always got a stable vocal . But if you focus on San. He sing it all live this time. You can hear wooyoung stability is improving and he tried really hard . And yeosang , it was really hard to hear his vocal as he wasn’t confident enough before , he did really great this comeback !
They always make Atiny proud
San isn't the most consistent singer on stage but technically he always was the second best vocalist no surprise.

I was looking for this comment. You can really hear their voices this time. The backing track is much lower because of the nature of the show and I'm super happy for it because I always have to struggle to hear them. Especially because their performance are usually so intense so they sing softer.
San's voice reminds me of INFINITE L. As time passes, these two improved a lot during live session and even becoming one of the lead vocalist. San sounds realllllly stable here!!
