To be honest seasons past season 13 are mediocre to poor. Graham leaving left a void in the show that just can't be filled no matter who they bring in. The shows main actors were a tri-vecter in Jack, Amy and Ty, now without Ty it is not very interesting and interestingly Amber Marshall's acting has taken a dive.
You are so right! Acting is down on all of them. They just look so tired, with no enthusiasm! And too many key actors have left and the ones they have brought in just don't have it for a story like Heartland . When ya bring in a person like Jan Arden you are really scraping the bottom of the Barrell! And Spencer Lord might be a ok person for doctor shoes etc but he is not suited for a rancher roll!! They have too many in and out and in and out characters over the last 4 years that just chop the heck out of a show! Lisa, Peter, Caleb, Cassandra, Scott! Just keeps ya wondering were is this person gone to!!
Spencer Lord should not be in a western/ rancher picture! He can't ride a horse, doesn't understand the lingo and he has to read his lines from Q-cards!! And the writers goofed up big time making the character so much older than Amy!! Show has become 2nd class with quality, acting and scenery! What a shame!!
I think it would be better if she would at least talk to her daughter about her dad. Tell her dad it's forgotten forever. Her daughter's not allowed to remember her daddy. I like to see her talking to her daughter about her daddy. Say and how much he loved her and carried about her and different stories. That was life and everything, but no. This is what turns to me off. I love the show, but it turns me off. When you can't tell your own daughter. I've talked to her show people that she still had a dad. That loved her very much and cared about her. What's wrong with that or she not allowed to remember that she even had a dad. And they talk about the stones, but they didn't even mention. This was your dad's, don't. Why not? She's allowed to see your Uncle's Stone. But not her dad's. I'd like to see that the that's what bothers me. We all fell in love with Ty. I agree, she could talk about Ty with Lyndy, but I think she avoids to talk about him since Lyndy is still a little kid, it feels like she doesn't have the courage to talk about him. Remember how Lyndy mentioned her dad after Remi's death, and Amy couldn't even say a word.

Na Lyndy does not need a over aged, divorced stepdad! Especially one who as a rancher can't ride a horse, has no idea of ranching lingo so has to read Q-cards for his lines!! What Lyndy needs is a mother who fills her head of all the memories of her dad! A mother who gets back to being the Miracle Girl! A mother who as she promised would ensure the youth center in honor of Lyndy's dad was up and running the way it should be. A mother who honors her own words when she said infront of family and Lyndy that Ty was her soulmate for life and he gave her enough love to last her lifetime! That is what Lyndy wants/deserves and expects! Amy's mother did it and enjoyed her life doing the things she enjoyed and looking after her children! No reason why Amy could not finish off the last season for Heartland the way her mother did! No reason at all! This story was about Ty/Amy and should finish that way in the fans hearts! You can't replace the best actor in your show and expect it to just continue as it was. True Heartland fans don't want any new guy! There hope is for the (writers) to just get Graham back in some way shape or form. Then finish off the last season for Heartland on a happy note(Amy/Ty/Lyndy together in there own home like it should have at the end of season 13!! If Graham won't return then simply end the show also like it should have at end of season 13! The true fans have no desire for a soap opera and they are in the vast majority based on all the comments!! We don't need/want a season 18. The inter actions of Amy with Nathan is void of any chemistry. Why do they continue to try to connect Amy with different men. Amy and Ty had terrific on screen chemistry. Amy should remain the strong single mom that she has been. The only man they can plausibly connect her with is Ty through some miracle, although that would be very difficult. Let's be honest. Ambers performance has lost a lot since Grahams departure. I still love her but her acting is reflecting the loss of Ty.
You are right Gary Amber's acting has gone downhill! In one of her public speeches she indicated Graham helped her out so much with her line presentation. She for whatever reason has difficulty with her short sentences and her expressing those lines. She said Graham was able to calm her down and focus as if she was reading a book and then worked on facial expressions. Actually most of the veteran actors all look tired and no enthusiasm in there actions. And this Nathan character, well it is clear he is used to Q- card reading perhaps more so because he has no idea of ranch life style! Other than sitting on a horse the majority of horse time is done by his double even the slow speed scenes. They always shoot a distance away from him were possible while on a horse!! Not good for a key rancher! And the writers sure goofed when it came to age difference between Nathan & Amy! That just can't be when they are 2 of the key actors. I will be honest I simply do not like any of whatever storyline they are trying to throw at us! Especially you can not even come close to simply changing Ty out with another. The first 13 seasons for pete sake was the story of 2 teens and there ups & downs, growing together, yet at times apart from each other. All the while knowing they were a inseparable pair in there love for each! Eventually the downs were almost non existent, they married had a beautiful baby and became even stronger together. Then sadly with Graham's departure, the death of Ty the writers opted to attempt to just change out Ty with numerous others! What were they thinking!! The show should have ended on a happy note with Ty/Amy/Lyndy at the end of season 13. Yeah just don't take the best actor out of the show and say oh we will just find someone and we are back in business. Anyone other than Ty or Amy sure go for it. Ty & Amy were the show! Sure minor secondary stories but they come and go! But no the money hungry bunch ( and we know who they are) decided to turn this once Family show into a ridiculous soap opera! And the flood gates opened with the loss of the true Heartland fans each year there after! Leaving the soapies who are "SO" excited cause Amy has found a over aged 3rd string character who can't ride a horse and he is supposed to be a rancher!!😂. What the Hell happened? They don't want Graham Wardel back as Ty or have not tried to get him to return to the show for season 18 and rightful finale for the Borden family on Heartland ranch. Also Graham does not feel the desire to help the Heartland crew save Heartland tv series with a travesty ending of this show is very near if he was asked to return. Amber Marshal does not want him back because now she is the star of the show and is failing miserably without Graham Wardel. They are going to continue with Nathan character which is a bad move for continuing Heartland. They will continue to lose viewership with the new episodes and continue to failing with the writing and the choices of actors they are bringing on to the show. This show will be labeled for a long running tv series to the worst ending ever and destroyed their #1 storyline that made the show successful for 13 seasons with worldwide audience. Season 18 will not gain any of my interest with Nathan and Little Lyndy does not know her father Ty and Jack has erased Borden in the cattle drive not being part of the family anymore. That has completely turned me off to no longer watch anymore seasons or episodes of Heartland tv series. Season 18 needs to end Heartland tv series. Heartland will always be remembered and people continue to watch over and over again is seasons 1-13 with Amy & Ty as leading characters of the show.

Amy and Ty are equivalent to Luke and Laura,Cruz and Eden,Frisco and Felicia in my opinion. Yes i agree they should end b it,butt with 18 episodes in order to wrap up everyones story line i.e Luke and his mom,Badger, Quinn and Georgie, Lilly needs to make a visit, Clint running the program in Ty's name,Scott's vet clinic and the woman with a son he was dating, Jake and Mallory, Victor Whitetail. I would like to see Ashley put the law degree of hers to use and save heartland beef in court return as surprise counsel on the case. I am very unhappy with Heartland. You should never force your fans to wait this long to see season 17. If u don't start having normal seasons, you will loose viewers! I am ready to jump ship. Love the addition of Nathan! I wasn't a fan of any of the other guys, and by the time they brought Nathan around I was pretty over it. But each episode got better, and the finale added so much more depth to his character that I really really liked. I just hope they don't do the on again off again thing they did with Ty and Amy's relationship, just let poor Amy have a nice relationship. There are so many other pieces of drama they can exploit - There is an entire Pryce ranch with all new characters, maybe some are good people and some are very much not. Still potential for business conflicts and lack of acceptance from the family, or at least Tim lol. Heartland always does well with the disasters and the tragedies - Just lets not make any more relationship drama I am so over it lol. I need a break from all the Amy heartbreak

How can they bring Ty back, he had a pretty final ending. After a whole season of grieving there is no going back. I like where the story is going now. The new guy is a good choice. Can't wait to see how they save Heartland but I hope that Nathan is a big part of that.

I thought this past season, 17, was better than the previous 3. The writers seem to be setting things up for a continuation of life for these characters. There is no doubt that those earlier seasons possessed a certain 'magic' that the past 3 seasons lacked. Based on what I've seen in season 17, I expect that to change. I think someone said something about the quality of Ms. Marshall's acting in recent seasons. I think she's doing her part. Amy's life has changed, permanently. Ty's sudden death was a major blow and her 'happy-go-lucky', carefree nature has suffered and Amber Marshall's acting has reflected that fact. Her character is at a crossroads. It will be interesting to see how things work out and I hope there is a season 18 and onward. By the way....for the cheap seats.......say it with me..."Ty is NOT coming back'!! 🥱

You can't replace the best actor in your show and expect it to just continue as it was. True Heartland fans don't want any new guy! There hope is for the (writers) to just get Graham back in some way shape or form. Then finish off the last season for Heartland on a happy note(Amy/Ty/Lyndy together in there own home like it should have at the end of season 13!! If Graham won't return then simply end the show also like it should have at end of season 13! The true fans have no desire for a soap opera and they are in the vast majority based on all the comments!! Send Spencer Lord back to a soap show hospital were he can chase the young new nurses from room to room! That's were he does his best acting! Just saying! We don't need/want a season 18. The inter actions of Amy with Nathan is void of any chemistry. Why do they continue to try to connect Amy with different men. Amy and Ty had terrific on screen chemistry. Amy should remain the strong single mom that she has been. The only man they can plausibly connect her with is Ty through some miracle, although that would be very difficult. Let's be honest. Ambers performance has lost a lot since Grahams departure. I still love her but her acting is reflecting the loss of Ty.
You are right Gary Amber's acting has gone downhill! In one of her public speeches she indicated Graham helped her out so much with her line presentation. She for whatever reason has difficulty with her short sentences and her expressing those lines. She said Graham was able to calm her down and focus as if she was reading a book and then worked on facial expressions. Actually most of the veteran actors all look tired and no enthusiasm in there actions. And this Nathan character, well it is clear he is used to Q- card reading perhaps more so because he has no idea of ranch life style! Other than sitting on a horse the majority of horse time is done by his double even the slow speed scenes. They always shoot a distance away from him were possible while on a horse!! Not good for a key rancher! And the writers sure goofed when it came to age difference between Nathan & Amy! That just can't be when they are 2 of the key actors. I will be honest I simply do not like any of whatever storyline they are trying to throw at us! Especially you can not even come close to simply changing Ty out with another. The first 13 seasons for pete sake was the story of 2 teens and there ups & downs, growing together, yet at times apart from each other. All the while knowing they were a inseparable pair in there love for each! Eventually the downs were almost non existent, they married had a beautiful baby and became even stronger together. Then sadly with Graham's departure, the death of Ty the writers opted to attempt to just change out Ty with numerous others! What were they thinking!! The show should have ended on a happy note with Ty/Amy/Lyndy at the end of season 13. Yeah just don't take the best actor out of the show and say oh we will just find someone and we are back in business. Anyone other than Ty or Amy sure go for it. Ty & Amy were the show! Sure minor secondary stories but they come and go! But no the money hungry bunch ( and we know who they are) decided to turn this once Family show into a ridiculous soap opera! And the flood gates opened with the loss of the true Heartland fans each year there after! Leaving the soapies who are "SO" excited cause Amy has found a over aged 3rd string character who can't ride a horse and he is supposed to be a rancher!!😂. And there famous line "now Amy can move on with her lonely life" and Nathan can become Lyndy's new stepdad!! Is that what people really want this show to change to? I think not!! Yes just a fake show but really isn't there enough soap garbage on TV that we didn't need to take a reasonably good family show and do this to it!! Just saying! So hear comes the soap critics!! What the Hell happened? They don't want Graham Wardel back as Ty or have not tried to get him to return to the show for season 18 and rightful finale for the Borden family on Heartland ranch. Also Graham does not feel the desire to help the Heartland crew save Heartland tv series with a travesty ending of this show is very near if he was asked to return. Amber Marshal does not want him back because now she is the star of the show and is failing miserably without Graham Wardel. They are going to continue with Nathan character which is a bad move for continuing Heartland. They will continue to lose viewership with the new episodes and continue to failing with the writing and the choices of actors they are bringing on to the show. This show will be labeled for a long running tv series to the worst ending ever and destroyed their #1 storyline that made the show successful for 13 seasons with worldwide audience. Season 18 will not gain any of my interest with Nathan and Little Lyndy does not know her father Ty and Jack has erased Borden in the cattle drive not being part of the family anymore. That has completely turned me off to no longer watch anymore seasons or episodes of Heartland tv series. Season 18 needs to end Heartland tv series. Heartland will always be remembered and people continue to watch over and over again is seasons 1-13 with Amy & Ty as leading characters of the show.

I am very unhappy with Heartland. You should never force your fans to wait this long to see season 17. If u don't start having normal seasons, you will loose viewers! I am ready to jump ship. It is ridiculous. I found another weekly, seasonal show. I really like it. No Ty was the clincher!! I can think of several ways to have him come back. I have no interest in Amy with this new guy!!!!!!!!

Love the addition of Nathan! I wasn't a fan of any of the other guys, and by the time they brought Nathan around I was pretty over it. But each episode got better, and the finale added so much more depth to his character that I really really liked.
I just hope they don't do the on again off again thing they did with Ty and Amy's relationship, just let poor Amy have a nice relationship. There are so many other pieces of drama they can exploit - There is an entire Pryce ranch with all new characters, maybe some are good people and some are very much not. Still potential for business conflicts and lack of acceptance from the family, or at least Tim lol. Heartland always does well with the disasters and the tragedies - Just lets not make any more relationship drama I am so over it lol. I need a break from all the Amy heartbreak

How can they bring Ty back, he had a pretty final ending. After a whole season of grieving there is no going back. I like where the story is going now. The new guy is a good choice. Can't wait to see how they save Heartland but I hope that Nathan is a big part of that.

I thought this past season, 17, was better than the previous 3. The writers seem to be setting things up for a continuation of life for these characters. There is no doubt that those earlier seasons possessed a certain 'magic' that the past 3 seasons lacked. Based on what I've seen in season 17, I expect that to change. I think someone said something about the quality of Ms. Marshall's acting in recent seasons. I think she's doing her part. Amy's life has changed, permanently. Ty's sudden death was a major blow and her 'happy-go-lucky', carefree nature has suffered and Amber Marshall's acting has reflected that fact. Her character is at a crossroads. It will be interesting to see how things work out and I hope there is a season 18 and onward. By the way....for the cheap seats.......say it with me..."Ty is NOT coming back'!! 🥱
