The beauty of this sketch is that I have no idea what is going on and yet I find it absurdly hilarious. Also, using an actual parade as a prop/frame for a sketch seems like a technical nightmare and LRR gets a crisp high five for its execution.
I said this a lot during the stream, but I can't tell you how much I loved this idea. Qwerplive isn't something I knew I needed, but damn if it isn't brilliant. Hope we get this segment to return next year. Back to you
@@Winterpandacookies See? The problem is that actual parades are a bit random and hard to control. Also, actual parades have a higher horse (and road apple) count. And we all know that after the crash of the TV and Movie Western industry, horses have generally boycotted any event that even remotely looks like a video production. It was a shame how badly the crash of westerns burned horses.

Not only was Griffin mentioned on Crapshot 549, but the brothers tend to Skype in sometime during each Desert Bus. So it might not be out of the realm of possibility.
Will this be a permanent addition to the lineup? Coverage of random events/parades/holidays? I approve. Lets hope they don't space out the marching bands as much next year and we see the blood feud flare up.
So, is this what gets replaced by the hollandaise orgy/asphyxiation dome? If it reverts to step 1, brunch dictatorship, just imagine all of the french toast you could have pelted the citizenry with from atop the lofty perch of Pharasave. Much less bruising.

You need the Advanced license for this, and a registered drone with Transport Canada. Also, the parade was on June 1st, the exact date of the new regulation. The fine is $1,000 for individuals, $5,000 for corporations for flying where you are not allowed.

Ah, parades. I have to admit, it's been a while since I've seen a non-pride parade... Although, 'see' is perhaps the wrong word since I was in all of the ones I'm remembering, so... Well I mean, I guess I technically saw bits of the parade... Helps being on the top of a double-decker bus that doesn't have a roof...
Guys in my high school marching band would scream "Ringgold!" at airplanes flying over our practice field in a way similar to Timmy Turner's dad would yell "Dinkleberg!" at his neighbor. Marching band gang wars aren't a laughing matter, I lost a friend in 2014 to a trombone slide with a sword on it.
Marching band gang wars aren't funny! There was a kid in my hs band who got his skull caved in by a marimba player who snuck in a claw hammer in his mallet bag.
I'm so glad this is a stand alone video. This felt more like Nsburg than it did Oak Bay.

Just overlay some character names and pitch up Beej's voice a bit, and you've got quite an episode of QWERPLine
I think this could truthfully be called QWERPLine LARPing, which is a thing that shatters my brain.
"Turns out, when you are the Mayor, you are above the law...in a parade"
Lessons everywhere!
Oh, thats what they were doing when I saw them out there! LOL

Kathleen is the stern voice of reason and criticism that I need in my life.
LRR the presenters of the most viewed Oak Bay Tea Party Parade coverage.
PLEASE DO THIS NEXT YEAR
That was genius and wholesome and we need more LRR coverage of local events.
Wow, the new format Qwerpline looks so realistic!
It is in our hearts and nightmares
I love the aerial shots! Thanks for this delightful glimpse!
God they had fun doing this. I love these kinda videos.
Absolutely sublime.
I love this skit, but I'm a little worried how much money LRR spent on extras and candy.
If only they used an actual parade that was happening instead 😛

Now i definitely need to see this done in QWERPline style, with alex and graham and everybody in their QWERPline characters
I wish this was partnered with the local news station.
More people watch this then the actual local news coverage.
How did I watch this whole video I was just gonna watch the first few minutes but then it was so good!!
This is the greatest content LLR have ever made
I couldn't tell you why, but this was goddamn delightful.
I don't understand this video, but I respect that you did it!
You guys are the best. Great drum solo boogie!
I... Why did I watch this? Why did I enjoy watching this?
This was surprisingly wonderful.
This was great, excellent!
Live from a roof on Hampshire Rd / Oak Bay Ave
Dear lord Ian just nailed this video.
Looking back at this feels like an alternate reality
Wholesome content, thank you. cant wait to throw candy at kids next year
I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
Wait, Nsburg is REAL??
This was a delightful start to the day - thank you, lrrcru

That was...amazing.
Best recurring segment?
I Adored this content!
This will do for my Qwerpline fix.
1:37 "Don't show them this youtube video"
So how did that plan of being "little germs (20:18'')" in the 2020 parade go?
Years from now, we will all remember where we were when Dog in a Sidecar happened.
Can you guys officially do all of Victoria's lame parades from now on? It'd actually make the Truck Parade or whatever worth watching. :D
I didn't know I wanted this.
This is the most Ian thing on this channel

I grew up in a small town with a parade like this, and they took their parade very seriously, anyone disrupting it would get removed by the police.
So who is the goth pirate behind beej as he gets his first piece of candy?
@15:22 The rare moment Kathleen is lost for words
3:25 Beej has excellent technique.
Sorry this is off topic but what happened to watch and play? was there an update I missed?
W+P is on hiatus while Graham is busy working on RoadQuest
Why though? Also: I am amused. Which answers my own question.
this...
Yes!
Did you know that the Oak Bay high school marching band has only ever lost this parade twice? They were disqualified both times.
YES
@20:41 -This needs to be a GIF. Also a concise summary of the coverage.
Done, not sure if comments will allow the link though. freegifmaker.me/images/2fAgq/
Could not stop watching. Lol
Yasss, more drone shots. \o/

:/
I wonder what a primary/elementary school marching band would sound like.

Jeremy an SCP reference!? On a LRR video!?
Loved this... for some reason. And let the OBHS marching band know that they need to sharpen up. That was some sloppy marching we saw clarinets.

OMG theirs a dog in that sidecar and it's wearing a kilt 🤣
