You realize they killed an innocent bystander to cover Laenor's escape don't you? This is like Theon killing the two boys and claiming they were Bran and Rickon. This is the elites, including Laenor, not giving a crap some poor schmuck's life.
yes thats the whole point. Its a show about the elites for the period theyre in. Its literally called game of thrones.
He didn't give a crap about his own parents who had just lost their other child, just because he wanted to "be himself". And I don't believe for one second that they knew of the plan as I saw others commenting.
@@kateris1976 I agree with you about his parents not knowing about the plan because they wanted him in the marriage, at least his father did. The same consideration Laenor was afforded when he forced into the situation, he gave to get out of it. Of course there are other factors that could be argued but as the saying goes, He is his father's son.
@@J55S I just think that this is clumsy writing, considering how devastated he was by his sister's death. And one day after the funeral he does this?
@@kateris1976 I agree with that as well. One moment he is proclaiming the world to Rhaenrya and the next with he is with Qarl in a boat ,bald, and bootless. Luke's conversation with Corlys was more than just the I don't want it line.
The way it came off to me was even though Reynera knew her and Damon couldn't be together unless her husband was dead she already had a scene Telling Lanor he was a good man. Even when Damon goes to Laynors boyfriend he just says there are places far away with enough money faces don't matter or something along that line, he never said kill Laynor
But when qarl asks what daemon wants from him, daemon says a quick death
@@TaxpayingPatriot meaning the decoy being thrown in the fire.
@@yakiralovesall Not sure about that.
@@yakiralovesall yeah idk about that one , giving a lot of credit to daemon
In the show they get married in the next scene, not immediately, it still could have been six months or more,
Good point!
Each of those changes actually prove how great the writers of the series are. Some of the scenes allow the director to make more impressive visuals, scenes with more movement in it, while other changes manage to compress the story in order to put all which is needed in the episode. Thumbs up to the writers who clearly respected the original material, but understood that a series is not a book.
Correct, the book was a good skeleton that left enough open ended and the show writers have smashed it out of the park
I also think they learned from the hate Dumb and dumber got from season 8 of GOT maybe🤔
16:15 🙄 It really wasn't difficult. We were shown two young girls being good friends. An extremely common phenomenon of life. Literally no one besides the usual handful of predisposed sappho shippers who live in their own Twitterverse echo chamber, seriously entertained the narrative of something "more" going on than the straightforward friendship we were briefly shown.
The most interesting difference is that isn the book, Luke slashes Aemond’s right eye and in the series they slashed the left one.
I’m here all week, folks
I read somewhere some time ago that they had to change it because of the stunts. Probably hand-eye dominance and the effects of depth perception in fighting. Even so, I think it must be very difficult for him with one eye covered considering that there will be problems with judging distances, perceiving depth and tracking moving objects.
@@nicoletav2708 when you think about it, in the book, Lucerys uses his left arm knife looking up. And in the show he uses his right arm knife looking down. I think that’s where the stunt went hard to do.
Anyway I was just trolling lol
Thanks for such a concise breakdown.
Looking at the thumbnail I was shocked to see Amons eye had fully healed but then received an injury to his other eye
🤣🤣🤣
I came here just for a comment like this!
did they really slip like this? omg lol!!!!
@@bobbythorton7693 no the thumbnail has mirrored the image of older Aemond because it looks better to have him facing towards the middle of the image. I think
@@owenbent1307 it's a different eye dude look... are you blind?
We don't know if Rhaenyra and Daemon married immediately. It's assumed because it was the next scene. this could have taken place six months later.
They had to have time for faking Leanor death and to travel to Dragonstone where they get married. I wonder how much time have passed.
@@understand-binah in the book it's about 3 months - and is seen as pretty disrespectful for being too soon after both their spouses passed. But yeah it's not as bad as the day after lol
I think house of the dragon show will tell more stories than just the dance of dragons.
I suspect robert's rebellion will be in the later seasons.
Judging by the time jumps, I think the dance of dragons will be over in season 1 or maybe 2 tops!!
"Insult calling him a strong".... You mean the truth...
😂
Unless the eldest one is Ser Criston's son but we don't know lol.
Number 7 is not completely correct. We don't actually know when exactly the wedding happened, I believe there is at least two time jumps in the episode. The Laenor's death and then the wedding. Both didn't happen just right after the another. There was a time in between for sure.
I hate these time jumps with different actors playing the same characters, throughout this season.
It can still work! He can go off and fight and he dies. This is how it's said he has kids (his Dad's kids) and how his dragon ends up taking a new rider. He dies out somewhere fighting.
If word doesn't secretly come to Daemon or Rhaenyra that he died offscreen during the 6-yr time-jump- it's going to cause serious continuity & lore problems regarding the dragons, for two important characters during the Dance...
You commend him?
He abandoned his Family when they needed him most, he fakes his death only shortly after her sister's death, devastating his mother and Father.
He left at the worst time
Aegon the conqueror did not ride Vegar. He rode Balerion the black dread.
The narrator didn’t say Aegon the Conquerer rode Vhagar. He said: “the dragon who once helped Aegon in his conquest” {negative 9:30} - meaning the dragon Visenya rode.
Love how Allison plays the moral high ground! As she was about to cut the eye out of a child
Alicent has another kid named Daeron, but he's nowhere to be seen.
He's in old towne serving as a squire
@@carastone3473 wait what i didnt know that
@@carastone3473 a bastard?
He can't be older than Aegon. He is a baby I'm pretty sure.
@@JLCRH episode 7 takes place in 120 AC, but Daeron was born in 114 AC. Maybe they decided to leave him out 🤷🏾♂️
Well we don't know if the marriage happened immediately, several months might have passed
Can you do a video talking about the character Failsafe from Batman?
I don’t like it when they change a storyline from a book to tv.
Me neither. There is not a need to change anything it is all right there. And also, I think George RR Martin specifically wrote Fire and Blood for this series. So why change it.
@@warrenharshaw7677 GRRM is heavily involved with this show and signs off on everything, so it's his choice as well.
@@marksaunders7920
" Recently, Martin was a guest on The History of Westeros podcast (via PopCulture) and revealed he has more "influence" on the prequel series, but still no "control."
"Hollywood will give you money a lot easier than they'll give you creative control," Martin said with a laugh. "You can go to negotiations and say 'Yes, I will thank you for paying me 8 million dollars, but I would like creative control as well.' And they will say, 'How about 10 million?' They would rather give millions of dollars than any creative control."
"What I do have is influence, I have creative influence," Martin added, "but that depends largely on the relationship between myself and the showrunners and so forth. I mean, I can make points, I can argue and they can listen, but if they decide not to listen, then you know, I can persuade them. I don't have the power to hire or to fire. I don't have the power to dictate things, but what I have, if they listen to me and I can be fairly persuasive and I know this material pretty well, so, there's that something and it's always changing." "
Laenor sailed for San Francisco 😆😆
Best choice to shave off that wig though
Happy for Lenoir, he seems like one of the only good natured people on the show.
Why have they changed eyes in the thumbnail-? Left eye as a kid, right eye as an adult.
They haven’t changed the eye. RUclips mirrored the image
Notice how his right eye is cut but his patch is over his left at later age?
You forgot to mention that Aemond lost his right eye in the book, but lost his left in the show.
Tv mistake eye patch and scar on wrong eye in thumbnail
J'espère que ce n'est que les deux photos sont inversées car une fois il perd l'œil gauche et le bandeau est sur l'œil droit....
The thumbnail confusing haha
I get the eyepatch helps but this dude and Matt smith really shouldn’t be in a show together 😂
Laenor and Qarl made the smartest decision ever made on the show: they got out of all that BS. Shame they couldn’t take Seasmoke with them.
Um....the older version of Aemond has the patch over the wrong eye...
Exactly what I was thinking lol
THANK YOU
No. The pic is inverted. Watch the actual teaser it covers the correct eye. That would be a stupid thing for the show to overlook
Yes! Like how did they jack that up! 😂
Please use your brain. It’s mirrored.
Anyone else noticing the eye patch on the wrong eye? 😂😂😂😂
is it me or did the scare switch eye from childhood to adult?
The show made Aemond braver but more in the wrong
What exactly is he wrong about?
He's becoming twisted
I guess he swapped eyes
Ya'll really that dense eh? It's called a mirrored image, durrrr.
@@RedRoseSeptember22 im literally baiting and joking the only one who's actually dense is you.
Seeing Aemond get beat up was satisfying
Well he acually smacked their asses 1 vs 4 lol
Wait until the SoB dies. ☠ 😆
soooo goood

Haters gonna hate for no reason
No one really pointed out that Vhagar was the dragon of Queen Visenya and Prince Baelon (the father of King Viserys and Daemon) and not Aegon the Conqueror. unsubbed.
Does anyone notice the eye patch is on the wrong eye? The wound was the left eye. On the adult picture it’s reversed. Or am I smoking too much pot?
I thought the same also 😅
This is better compared to Rings of Power
Bro u dropped a spoiler saying that daemon kids gonna be their wives
Rt eye or left eye? I don't know?
Sorry, but why the hell put such an anxiety inducing sound in background? I hear this sound when listening to creepy stories on some other youtube chanels... make no sense here.
Vhagar didn't belong to aegon the conqueror she belonged to his sister/wife.
My goodness, you folks need to clean out your ears {negative 9:30} the narrator says: “the dragon who once helped Aegon in his conquest”, not the dragon he rode. Yes, the author’s words clearly still mean Visenya, not Aegon rode Vhagar during The Comquest! 🙄
JJ I want to be that movie The dragon movie I want to be in that dragon movie just feel like how far

I feel like the show is trying so hard to make Rhaenyra a good person lol, she is horrible
she isn't good or bad it seems, idk how bad she is in the book but in the show she isn't innocent. To be real very few good people, in game of thrones it's the the dwarf and jon snow, sam. Maybe the unic
Everyone in the show is horrible.
How’s that? She’s obviously an adulterer given her kids clearly aren’t Laenors. Hell, at least pick a golden(blond) haired guy to inseminate you? Don’t make it so obvious. She also screws Christian Cole, which the book leaves ambitious that she lost her maidenhood. She also acts like a petulant brat all the time her father’s trying to assist her choosing her own spouse. She engages in this weirdo blood ceremony on the beach with Daemon, which frankly made me wonder about her sanity? Frankly, I think she collectively leans toward ‘c>nt’ on the show.
On the other hand, Alicent remains close to innocent still by resisting pushing her children to the throne accession or acting un-dignified until, of course, that single incident with the knife. Oh, her behavior with Larys does start to lean shady. Frankly, I don’t think anyone will be remembered as being civilized when all is said and done. The person who eventually sits unfettered on the throne is so racked with PTSD and is a partial ‘head-case’, it makes the entire conflict even worse!
Yeah it really feels like they trying to make her the misunderstood hero.
Hilarious
how can you have a half nephew wth lmao

hmmm, wrong eye???
Aegon the Conqueror didn’t ride Vhagar he rode Balerion the black dread, his older sister/wife Visenya rode Vhagar.
The narrator didn’t say Aegon rode Vhagar, {at negative 9:30} he said “the dragon who once helped Aegon in his conquest” 🙄
Why is the eye patch on the wrong eye?
It's reversed, use your brain
I was thinking the same.

Didn’t he lose his left eye? Why in his grown up self it’s on the wrong eye
It's just in the thumbnail - it's correct in the trailer.
How is it the right eye now loll?
is eye switch mistake? disappointing
right!!!
It's just in the thumbnail - it's correct in the trailer.
Did they really just switch his lost eye? Wtf is going on with the show?
The image was mirrored, the actual teaser shows the eyepatch over the correct eye.
Did anyone notice in the thumbnail he picture he lost his left eye as a kid but when he is older hes lost his right eye???????🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
