Neptune Trident NP is the real deal! Until the Calibration Task is added you can find the info here :

Hell yea just realized you back, been back, nice to see you man!
I love this. I’m very knew to the hobby and I just came across the Neptune equipment and I’m in love. Very nice video.
Ty ive used it for years
CJ! Glad you back bro!
Legit the best NO video ive seen thus far. On a waiting list for mine!
NP*
Thanks for the honest and informative video. You got a new subscriber now! Your tank is stunning. Keep up the good work. I look forward to more videos..
Very helpful video, thanks! Any update? I’m debating because the reviews for the NP are pretty bad. Gorgeous tank!
Still going strong but lots of variables to consider 🫡
Thanks for an honest review dude, appreciate the video.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great video !! Needed this one!!☝️ that shirt is fire Go Packers
Sneak the 🧀 in when I can 🫡✊🏾
@@CJSAQUARIUMS hell yeah you know it !!!! 💯 🧀 💯
Great insight on the DETAILS! Dope coverage on the newly released gear! ✨
Tried to hit the main points - straight from the source ✊🏾🫡
is it still accurate? i just bought the reef bot smart tester...returning it. id like the np, but im scared as i heard so many bad reviews on the calibration liquid and getting improper readings......
@@zachary_smith1 it’s still solid 💯
Great vid fam. I started my 60g cubed back in March and got 3clowns and a banded coral shrimp. Saving my bread to get a nice automated system like yours.
Appreciate it bro it’s definitely game changing being able to just click your phone and now what’s going on anytime of the day 🫡
Awesome video CJ mine is on back order and that update made it so apex won’t communicate right with fusion and I have no communication with them for a week now take it this Friday. Super excited all the time I guess thanks for the video, bro.
Has yours remained accurate? I found mine will be accurate for a while then over time the values will drift from what the Hanna will read.
@@fishstix1988 it’s been stable only diff I’ve seen is when I changed to next set reagents. Otherwise no real swings.. Hanna is only used if i see a trend and wanna verify it
Is it no longer a metal neddle in the reagent jar?
That’s correct 👍🏾
You only calibrated your trident once? Just wondering how your numbers lined up with manual testing as a comparison? I typically calibrate every time I changed my reagent bottle. That was at least what I thought apex required.
Yes normal trident only did it one time. Alk matched Hanna so I didn’t worry about the CA or MAG. Only time calibrated was one reagent switch my CA dropped a ton immediately. So calibrated and it went back to normal range. By all accounts my ALK on trident always been the consistent variable I could trust the most
Don’t you need to unscrew the caps a bit so no vacuum occurs?
Never have before. I suspect the entry point for the tubbing on the lid allows for air to enter and prevent it from creating vacuum
Hi CJ
Wondering if you still getting accurate reading from your Trident NP. It’s look likes so many peoples getting off numbers, i never got corrected number
@@Tommy_Sh trident NP is still working consistently no major swings to indicate a issue.
I just got my NP and the Numbers are way off. I did the calibration and they are still way off. Any help would be appreciated .
@@ccfd1996 open ticket with Neptune
On mine I get po4 0.22 no3 15.5
On the Hanna po4 0.20 no3 20.9
Not bad.
The np is the reason I’ve even noticed the spike in po4 and no3 because mine are always lower than this but I had a power head that stir up my sand and now I have a spike.
Seems to be pretty good for me.. not sure if you calibrated it or not. The main thing is the daily testing for trends and spikes and I absolutely caught a po4 spike with this and it was because skimmer was not working for 2 days I didn’t know it. Another set of eyes on the tank never hurts 🫡✊🏾
@@CJSAQUARIUMS oh it’s almost dead on with the Hanna I’m digging it.
Thank you brother, what is the name of the new app ?
Just a update to the existing fusion app on the app market place for your phone ✊🏾
Sweet 👍
You would be surprised how much it would help to get your PH up. I shoot for 8.2, it would be nice to peg it at 8.2 but usually it’s 8.2 at night and 8.4 daytime. Kalk helped but I ended up having to add a CO2 scrubber. Just my two cents….
Currently pulling air from outside with my skimmer. Only way to hit 8.3 is leaving windows open in my place. Too hot for that now. Scrubber is the next plan to try
@@CJSAQUARIUMS I pull air from outside through my skimmer also. I had to add the CO2 scrubber to get my PH that high. It helped tremendously.
Got something in the works 🫡✊🏾
@@CJSAQUARIUMSI could never get my ph above 7.8 when I lived in an apartment. When I moved into my house it was consistently above 8.3
@@zulu09 window open in kitchen and bedroom makes a wind tunnel and I was consistently 8.0-8.2 never below 8. It’s literally about the fresh air being in here. I think houses breath better
Is it really accurate to hanna? I bought it 1 week ago and it's deviated quite a lot from hanna
Within expected error ranges. If both testers. Beyond that I don’t care if it’s exactly same as Hanna I’m more concerned with how consistent trident test each time.. graphs for accurate trending. Hanna is not the standard to me as it’s pre calibrated and can’t be changed
Nice video ✌🏻
I love all the videos but u and this Green Bay shirt 😂😂
You right I’ll have wear the cheese head next time no more half steppin! 🧀✊🏾🤣
@@CJSAQUARIUMS plz do it once🙏🏾🤣🤣
Boy does not having to run those tests manually sound great
@@robottaway can’t tell you how great it is.. reefing couldn’t be easier
Keeping it real my brother... I appreciate your videos.. Not so sure about the shirt .. but I'll let you slide on that one LOL :
Just stay focused and hope we don’t win Super Bowl cause man o man no telling what imma have on 🤣✊🏾
Hettinger Keys
I would love if these companies would come out with midnight additions of there controllers & automation. I understand the color scheming of there product for marketing. I'll make my decision to get controllers easier 😂
Black em out! I agree man.. have dark knight themed tank. There are 3d printed custom options tho if you really wanna freak your setup out. I’m cool with wit as is tho ✊🏾
@@CJSAQUARIUMS I think that's what I might have to go with when I get my controllers

The reality of any autotester is 6 months out, not first day/week. They will drift and be harder to bring back to original state once you go over a year plus especially if the original Trident is any barometer (assuming it doesn’t break). Considering it’s borrowing the same parts as original Trident, kinda disappointed because it’ll have the same break points. Also, the forced tests every day for nutrients is a bummer as you’ll burn through reagent. Between the Trident and Trident NP, you’ll have to pay a minimum of $600 per year to use it. Lastly, probably wouldn’t recommend updating to latest software as a lot of people are seeing the Neptune DOS dump containers worth of whatever you’re dosing through them. You can easily crash your tank.
I’ll have to see for myself.. my personal experience with the original trident been problem free (it’s over a year old) . I’m carrying that optimism to the trident Np. I’m running the latest Neptune fusion software. I’m not sure about others programming redundancies or rules but I use multiple LLS modules and the optical sensors included wit the AFK Ato to help safe guard any and all scenarios something could get stuck on. So again I’m not really too concerned with it unless all those failsafes somehow are bypassed? I need to see the proof these issues are not user error before I believe it. Just like people said the trident Np didn’t work with po4 and I show it spot on. I’ll take what I hear with a grain of salt.. pun intended. Side note I agree the reagent cost is really the only downside as a yearly expense. But this hobby has levels to it most people buying a trident won’t worry about the expense if we being honest. Those that are will stick with Hanna checkers ✊🏾🫡💯
