This is amazing to see. I did C&J doubles earlier this week with 105ish and thought I was going to pass out. I turned 30 recently and this gives me hope for the future.
3:43 those shots of the bar path are so helpful, it would be great to see more of those with your analysis, perhaps with other lifters or beginners too
I think it would be nice to understand the overall plan. Like, we get an idea of this individual session as well as what you did previously, but seeing where you are in your planned mesocycle would be cool
probably you didn't watch at all series, but I always speak about the overall plan. this part of mesocycle is focused for strength ( squats and press ) and the plan is to reach at 270kg back squat
Maybe train with national team some day say training hall prior to big competitions. I recall Dmitry Klokov 200kg paused hang snatch (+straps) at world champs training hall wearing ninja turtle t-shirt very memorable
I would like to see a training schedule, one that trains specifically for the clean and jerk. What exercises would we do on a monday, wednesday and a friday? What if we want to train four, five or even six days a week? No RUclipsr has a clear and concise video that shows this. At least none that I have seen as of yet.
yeah I see what you mean but is not working like that. to be strong in the clean and jerk, you need first strength ( upper, lower body + core ) , power is required as well, and to be powerful you need first the strength. Strong mindset to pass bigger weights . So I don't see how can you improve clean and jerk without this boring stuff first :)
To help with more views, maybe include content other than training. Say for example your pre-workout meal, or your warmup. Or on the drive to the gym talk about what you're doing and why you're doing it. Love the videos!
Since you asked for things we would like to see/hear in your videos, I would like to know what you are thinking about or focusing on for your technique during different sessions. It may be the case since you are very experienced that you don't have to think about your technique a lot, but for someone like me who is learning and trying to improve my technique with every session, it would be helpful to understand your thought process and what you are focusing on to improve.
i guess all these gym goers are used to Gabriel's training - they don't even flinch when the gun shots are ringing out. I would be running for the exit...
@gsincraian Are you saying in the week after pushing some heavy weights (in your case 240kg deadlift/220 front squat) it is normal to be slow.... but you are saying the secret here is too push a bit while you are feeling slow? or are you saying to rest during this period? Appreciate the vids I have been watching youre videos for the last 3 years
I think it’s better if you include other people in your videos for views. It’s more interesting when there are other people involved. I’ll watch all your videos regardless.
It’s strange to hear these video formats aren’t working for you. I’m enjoying them a lot. It’s rare to get videos that are a goldilocks length (not that short and not that long). I think videos on RUclips have gotten longer and longer over time. Perhaps, as a suggestion, could you outline all of your sets and reps for exercise somewhere on the screen while you do them? Also, as a general question, do you focus on specifically front or back squats during a mesocycle? Do you only ever push one or the other?
I enjoy this kind of training videos and analysis. By the way, what program did u use to track barbell and velocity in the snatches in the end of the video?
Personally, I love the video formats. All about weightlifting, very specific. But for the algorithm, maybe try vlog style videos. Show the moments up to training, pre workout meal, supps, warmup etc. Also try off-days, other sports you do like swimming? Or feature your girlfriend more often, mash-up kinda videos.
Awesome. Love the videos and appreciate the minimal editing, unfortunately it seems hard to get big numbers on youtube if your content is simple and sincere. Only the flashy and clickbaity stuff gets views.
already did that I think. the main goal of this mesocycle is to boost my squat and my strict press. probably it will be boring to speak each video same thing , I guess
Your lifts are very impressive, but the videos are always very similar. There is nothing new, so I often watch rather other videos. Only one training update per month would be enough for me personally. This is just my subjective opinion, please take it as constructive feedback. ;) Here are some suggestions for other videos to get some variety: - Vlog for a typical day (training + job/coaching + video editing + free time etc.) - Full day of eating - Technical reviews and feedback for subscriber lifts - Technical review of Apti Aukhadov's jerk - Meet the Romanian weightlifting team: show their training, interview the team members and coaches (several videos) - Only if it is possible for you to speak openly about it: doping in professional weightlifting -> What is taken? How much is taken in which training phase? Maybe also your personal experiences (1-2 videos) - Why do some Chinese weightlifters do squat jerks when it makes no biomechanical sense? - Most common snatch, clean, jerk mistakes and how to fix them (3 separate videos) - Most useful snatch, clean, jerk tips/cues for a better technique (3 separate videos) - Strength Jerk vs. Elastic Jerk (with short dip) - "How I plan my training cycles" This should go a bit more into detail how to program your training. - "What assistance exercises I do" (1 video or as part of your normal training videos) - "Why I do clean deadlifts but not clean pulls, only snatch pulls" (1 video or maybe just part of a Q&A) - Q&As where questions can be asked in advance - How to return to training after a long break
Thanks for the feedback, some ideeas I can implement but some are not possible right now because my plan is to reach at my 2016 level and I can't do everything to travel , record, etc, but maybe in the future after I beat everyone on 2026. ohh, already did Apti review because in my opinion is the best power jerker from all time. here is the video: ruclips.net/video/phr4hOW618c/видео.html
Unfortunately, not many people are interested in actual training footage nowadays. Clarence Kennedy had the same problems where his training footage and scrap footage videos didn’t get very many views compared to the max out videos. Hopefully once you start putting out numbers similar to 2016 then the views will increase.

Solid work 🤙

I put these videos on 1/4 speed for the technique

Whats your diet like at the moment while ramping up in weights and volume? are you gaining or maintaining weight?
This is very motivational. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!

what other people are you refering ?

thanks , right now im doing 5 sessions per week
These cleans are really starting to look like the speed of your lifts in 2016 and prior
yeah , the power is coming back fast
Which do you prefer , work out or lifting training ??

Around 2h, but is taking a bit extra because of recording. Without probably around 90 minutes with everything included
