The wetbrush pro boar bristle one is my absolute favorite for brushing my hair into a pony or bun. It is a mid of regular bristles and boar bristles and I get zero bumps every time on the first try. It’s so good!

I use black castro oil on my scalp for hair health. It gives you the same look as the gel when you brush it out with a paddle brush then put everything in a pony. rub more oil on top if necessary. baby hair stays quiet all day. p.s. I have the same receding spots on the hairline but baby hair have appeared from the black castro oil treatments.

I just watch because you make me smile. Also Juicy Jas said she uses the L’Oréal Root Touch Up to make your hair look thicker near the face, which I think is genius. And I think using a thicker ponytail holder is better for lifting the tail off the head and giving it that “Barbie” effect. And I use a fine toothed comb instead of a boar hair brush for smoothing the sharkfins/tacos/bumps you get on top.
I wear my hair like this a lot especially after I was it and don’t feel like dealing with my curls, my best tip is to get a wooden bristle brush bc it’ll really make sure to get the hair to lay down.
All I can think of is that tweet or meme or whatever 😂 sometimes my low pony looks cute but sometimes I look like a young man in colonial America eager to start his woodworking apprenticeship
We have the exact same baby hair situation going on, with the same hair type. Except I might even have a wavier hairline. This never bothered me until someone else told me in my teen years that they were self-conscious about the same thing... at which point I promptly decided I was also inadequate in my pony/hairline game. But guess what! Although it might not be a chic formal look, I was told later on by different people they thought that part of me seemed really naturally pretty/elegant even. So maybe I'll try this sleek pony for work situations. But I've embraced that some people are going to have different perspectives and I just have to love myself like I'm a little girl ballerina cutie with cute whispies most of the time.
