I know it's nitpicking, but lets not forget, Knicks are missing 3x All-Star, 2x All-NBA Julius Randle. That's more than "some injuries", that's a lot. It's a credit to them that they're doing so well, people seem to just gloss this over.
Pacers are missing Bennedict Mathurin as well. He was coming into his own when he got hurt 15ppg of the bench any game could explain for 20 plus as well not the same as Randall but important to the pacers.
Also Brunson doesn't have the same impact with Randall on the court as well.
@@ColdBlooded317they were 14-2 in January after the OG trade before the injuries. Maybe brunson doesn’t drop 40 every game but I think the Knicks would be better and not so much Brunson reliant. Randle was having the best season of his career by far. Missing 24 ppg 10 reb 5 asst. What Brunson is doing right now in the playoffs is absolutely incredible if you take a step back and put it into context.

in the playoffs, defense is more important than ever. the knicks will force the pacers to play slow whether they want to or not, especially when its a close game near the end.
pacers will have to adapt to playing slow, and good luck to siakam trying to score on OG in the clutch.

6 guys cannot outrun an 8-9 man rotation. No one is mentioning Toppin, McConnel and Sheppard who were all XFACTORS late in the season and against the BUCKS. If just 1 knicks player gets in foul trouble it could change the game. Pacers have enough players to compensate for fouls. I am not sure who wins this series and I won't be heartbroken if the Pacers lose in 6 or 7. I have a lot of respect for the KNICKS as a team and how they have come back this year. This is going to be a really fun series.
Miss those 1990's Pacers Knicks rivalries. Reggie Miller, Rik Smits, Patrick Ewing, John Starks.... and Spike Lee of course.
Just an FYI.. Julius Randle is out and he's an allstar and former all nba 2 teamer.

A big key to this series is going to be 3 point shooting. The Pacers probably need to shoot 38-39% as a team. They need to keep the tempo up and force the Knicks to match. It’s also going to depend on how well the bench plays for Indy. If they’re getting 15-20 pts a game out of TJ McConnell and Obi Toppen, they probably win this series.

All I’ve learned since yesterday watching videos about this series is the Pacers are a clown show of a team and the Knicks are the definition of excellence.

I think ppl are looking over how obsessively dedicated to winning a team has to be to finish as a 2 seed while missing 3/5ths of their starters for 2 months.
76ers underestimated them and the Pacers NEVER faced this current version on the Knicks with OG.. because of those aforementioned injuries.
No lead is safe against these Knicks. They were down by double digits in every gm against the 6ers except the last.

Pacers are nothing like PHILLY, completely different style. Pacers isn't about 1-2 guys, every night its 5-6 guys in double digits and record number of assist. It's very hard to tell whose night it will be, so it's very hard to scheme for it. It was Toppin and McConnell who won game 6 as our Bench outscored BUCKS 50-10.

Pacers played a very soft Bucks team and have not been tested.
Keep that in mind too. Also.. Pacers WILL underestimate the Knicks obsession with winning and not giving in.
@arrellehnisrael8229 Pacers scored more on a healthy Philly than against the Knicks. 124, 134, 136 winning 2-3 with Siakim only playing in the last game. Pacers have only had a handful of games all year under 100. I don't think NY defense will change that. I like the Knicks a lot, but EVERYONE is underestimating how good this Pacers team really is.
Pace and rebounds are going to be the biggest things to look at in this series. Who controls the pace and boards will control the game. Pacers play fast and get buckets while the Knicks will try and slow it down and will likely get more second chance points from offensive rebouding.

Re-checked the Knicks roster, cause I was sure they had Walt Frazier, Willis Reed, Bernard King, and Patrick Ewing, in addition to Brunson. Nope, just Brunson by himself. So, scratching my head as to why they're building this team up into some invincible powerhouse, against which the Pacers have no chance. They're good, but not unbeatable. To me, series is a coin flip...unless the Knicks team, like their fans, are buying into all the NY homer media hype. If they do that, and start looking ahead to Boston, we'll bury them quick, end them before they even know what hit them.

Pacers beat bucks with and without Giannis. 4-1 against healthy Giannis and Dame. Pacers also beat 76ers 2-3 games this year with Embid healthy and scored even more against them 126, 134, 136. Pacers also outrebounded in those matches. Pretty much kills that argument.
Knicks don't have the depth that the Pacers have they only play 7 people per game and at the pace the Pacers play they will wear you down and the bench will destroy you if you let the Pacers in 6 let's go indy.

Game 6 the Pacers had 50 bench points with McConnell and Toppin both scoring over 20.

The Pacers finished the season as the best offensive team, the best shooting team, the best 3 point shooting team, and leading the league in Pace. The regular season games were anything but lucky, OG hadn't arrived but neither had Siakam. It is so wild to think the Knicks have such an edge they will win this series in 5, that means you are gonna win both games in Indy, becasue it will return to Indy for game 3 tied at 1-1.
This is gonna be just like when Reggie used to break their hearts every year, canrʻt wait.
