First of all, I think it's pretty obvious this video CONTAINS SPOILERS!
I've been waiting for this show to air on Netflix since late May and I just knew I'd love it after watching the trailer. I was really excited to finally watch it when it came out last week... but boy, I was not ready. I had no idea how beautiful the cinematography would be, or how much I'd fall in love with the characters, how captivating this entire new world would be for me.
I mean, this show has EVERYTHING I love. Strong, beautiful women? Check. Swords? Check. Fantasy genre? Check. A villain turned anti-hero seeking redemption? Check. Complex relationships? Check. And most importantly, the most wonderful father/daughter relationship I've yet seen on TV!
If you know me well, you also know I love these kinds of relationships in media, let it be in a book, movie, or a TV show. I had a feeling there was something more to those two since episode one and when I finally realized... you should've seen the look on my face. At that point I just prayed for them to have a nice, somewhat healthy relationship. And I got so much more than that! The final scene where Nimue calls Merlin "father" right before falling? MY HEART!
Of course I had to vid them. They're definitely my faves (Lancelot, too) and I'd die for them both. And yes, the video is five minutes long. And I still left out a lot of my favourite moments between them but I didn't really want the video to be too long. It's most likely not the last one I made with these two, though.

you're so right, they didn't get nearly enough time... i don't think nimue's dead tbh (she is the main character after all) but i do wonder what they plan to do with her in season 2

I didn’t notice until now the foreshadowing about both the agony that Merlin was about to experience (nimue dying) and using the trick about thinking of someone to love (which made Merlin slaughter all the red paladins). Very nice editing, showing that Merlin really loved Nimue

But yeah, hopefully we see them meet each other again next season depending on what happens to Nimue
This is beautiful. You captured their budding father - daughter relationship so perfectly. It was the most interesting and touching thing in the show for me, so your video made me so happy. Thank you! And I love your amazing editing, that shows the fulfillment of the widow's prophecy and the way Merlin regains his magic with Nimue's trick. This video made me subscribe. Everyone is about the whole Lancelot/Nimue thing, while I'm crying about how Nimue called Merlin father right before she fell. This is amazing, you portrayed their relationship beautifully. I'm simply in awe... And now I want to cry again after I watched this. Best father/daugher duo ever 😍

I love this. And I like how they Made Merlin-Nimue relationship so different than in Merlin TV series years ago (which I love very much) so I can enjoy it without it being clouded by the other show

I think she is named after his mother, he mentions his mother and says he loved his mother when talking to lenore. I think that when she says her name is nimue thats when he knows hes her father.
It started slow but if you stick with it this show can be one of the best ones you have watched on Netflix hope this get renewed for season 2

I wasn't originally watch the show, Imma be honest... but now, after seeing this, I think I might. For Gustaf Skarsgård's acting alone! I loved him in _Vikings_ and he seems to be very cool in this, too. And also, obviously, your editing is amazing. Chapeau!

I predict that the next season they’re all going to split off - Arthur and Genevieve, Morganna and merlin and (I PRAY TO GOD) that it will be squirrel and Lancelot that find nimue. But they’ll will all think she’s dead and probs like wage war or some shit till she does a grand entrance killing loads of people or some shit near the end. That’s my prediction :)

It's so odd the writers went this route when Merlin was not her father but her significant other at one point in one or more stories.
Putting that aside though, this video is a decent compilation showing "Their Story" in the show. 👍

Ok not to be mean or negative but I feel like writers have an aversion to making Merlin fall in love with anyone, or giving him a love story. He’s always either really old or just doesn’t have anyone. And yet Arthur gets a million loves. Like I honestly don’t care about Arthur and his love life.
