+Flyineddy The food was 'interesting' with all the dishes being served with a cornflour product called Polenta...I had the garlic snails which were very nice. It's well worth a visit though!
Hi David! Great footage! I'm a producer with Business Insider's new division INSIDER. We are looking to do a feature story on the Ai Pioppi playground. This place looks very much like School Park in my other world; a kind of place that bounced off from my school trips to Tuby's Fair at Spalding and my school trips to places that have a playground area like the Fun Farm soft play area in Spalding as well as the playground stuff at School during my time throughout Gosberton House School. This definitely would be the filming location for School Park in my other world if it were made into a film.🤣
Did you know that ALL the rides at this park are completely human powered. The people in the ride do things like running/pedaling to power the ride. Pretty unique!
It varies country to country, but generally what we have over in Europe is people taking responsibility for their own actions, and not suing every time they hurt themselves through their own carelessness. It's far removed from the US and other places where all the fun in life has been taken away due to the lawyers.
But that slowly changes towards the "American Way". People lack responsibility and start suing far quicker than they were a few years ago... still not as stupid as in the US, but yeah...
That is why the majority people have wavers. Like Glenwood Caverns Adventure park around Colorado. You have to sign waivers first before you go on the rides. Im heading there this summer, can’t wait. They got some crazy rides. Especially the ones that drops you off cliffs and even ones that swings out over the cliff. The view is beautiful. They got a new one called haunted mine drop, that drops you 300 feet under ground to an old mining ground. Its pitch black on the way down, but there you can see gold. Not everyone in America are ignorant and irresponsible. I do wish we could get rid of those ignorant people not only in America, but everywhere in the world. I will love to come try out the Ai Pioppi playground my self one day. It looks really fun too.
Cool! So this is open to diners at his restaurant? How was the food? Was it Italian? Edit also, were their employees attending to some of the rides or was it all self-serve?
The owner was there sorting out one of the rides for us to try out but generally it's all self-service...and yes, it is only open to his diners...the food was ok, lots of polenta with everything, which is a little weird as foods go, but it was kind of Italian and European cuisine. I recall having garlic snails but the menu was varied.
@@davidjellis interesting. Thanks for the response. Saw a video on this and wanted to learn more about it. I appreciate the upload and info. Looks like it was fun

This looks incredibly unsafe. Cool, don’t get me wrong, but there are no railings or any sort of crowd restraints on half of these things from what I’ve seen. If an onlooker gets just a little too close their life could get ruined.
@@davidjellis I mean, there are people inches away from the moving ride in some places. There’s nothing even attempting to keep them out while the ride is moving.
@@Bempes3477 You would have a fit if you saw a busy German fair in operation then - but to be honest it generally works, trusting people to be sensible and not do anything silly.
Lasciate perdere questo posto... sono giostre meccaniche molto pericolose, non c'è nessun addetto della sicurezza. E' un posto che andrebbe chiuso al più presto (Forget this place ... they are mechanical rides very dangerous, there is no security guard. It 'a place that should be closed as soon as possible).
Omg I live in Italy and I had nevere been to this park.I must go there .NOW!
+Mat Po You should - you need to eat there to enjoy the rides, but it's worth a visit!
+davidjellis Haha, you almost make it sound like the food's really bad. xD
Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for the video! :D

I wish german playgrounds had Flak guns on them too XD
Very nice video! This is definitly #1 on my priority list for Italy! ^^

Not all the rides are human powered...the shuttle coaster at 1:36 is pulled to the top by a motor.
It's a unique place though
Perhaps best to ride before dinner
we ate first then hit the rides :-)
What an amazing place, very nice video ... the launch coaster should be worth a trip back David ! :-)
+psyclonesteve Agreed :-)
In America, the owners would get sued soooo fast. It’s sad, really....
Ryan Courtright the Americans are too heavy
Awesome
if I go to Italy this is the first place I would go to
Same
I'm moving to italy just for this
Coolest. Restaurant. Ever!
That's a cool AA gun
The safety regulations must be very loose in Europe

BavarianMonkey Indeed - things are gradually going that way!
you ride these at your own risk, pretty sure the park owner doesnt take responsibility.

There doesn't really need to be crowd restraints - it's for the sole use of people eating at the restaurant so the visitor numbers are small
