It's crazy how much people talk about Jeeps being junk and Toyotas being bulletproof. Yet everytime I see a rig broken down its a 4Runner or Tacoma. Every, damn, time.
You guys honestly need to look into getting a k-5 splitter reductiner for the gears. It would get you up those hills NO PROBLEM

v8.I sure would like to bring my LS 2018 2 door.I had the conversion done by bruiser in florida.All axles (dyna 60 front and rear) king shocks , bead lock 40s etc. You wont be disappointed. I have a basic gladiator that we tow behind our rv. Its gong by by in a month we are getting the hemi.392.Trade in for the hemi.Full factory warrnty.

You guys should check out Crawler Offroad kinetic recovery ropes! Once you've tried one, you wont want to use a flat strap again!! Michigan based company also!!
I suspect that your gladiator was in 3rd gear at the top of the hill. Put it in manual shift mode to hold it in 2nd. It's not about power when you have the traction and the right gearing.
No snorkel, if he gets one he will only be tempted to go deeper and deeper lol

were you in drive or in manual mode? the 8 speed reacts better in manual mode and do not cut power either in manual, whereas in drive it cuts. My old jk 5spd auto was cutting power when off camber and inclined
I actually didn’t try the manual mode. Maybe that would of helped! I know if I’m too high in the Rpms it shifts anyways. So that’s why I didn’t think to try it.
@@MaxOverland its not supposed to shift on its own when in manual mode. you can redline this thing as much as you want

Do you have traction control turned off? If it's still on, then it's going to cut power to the wheel spinning in 4H.
Yes it was off. I have a tazer and it keeps it off. I had plenty of power up until it got super steep. Wonder if jeep has some kind of safety feature.

super charger looks cleaner under the hood just my opinion.
What were you guys running for tire pressure? I run about 7 psi with 37s and for the most part you can crawl up everything without spinning.
I was way too high at 24psi. I haven’t installed the arb twin compressor yet since I’m getting the 2021 gladiator diesel. Once I have that rig I’ll install. The offroad park didn’t have a way to air up since its was so late in the season.
@@MaxOverland I have that compressor on my jeep and I love it! Fills 4 of my 37s from 5psi to 30psi in about 7 minutes.

The turbo kits for the 3.6 have not been to successful. Supercharger or engine swap. If you haven't re-geared do that first.

I tried the first time you saw me climb in the video. It was worse that 4hi.

No turbo, no supercharger.... Just get a Hemi. Do it right the 1st time.
Would be amazing! I’m actually getting a 2021 diesel. So once the 392 JT comes out in 2 years 🤞! I’ll probably trade back in for that lol
@@MaxOverland I think they would love to sell with a Hemi but the poor mpg might be preventing it. Any poor mpg thing they put out they have to offset with something else.

nope, just the rear end hopping. (4.10 gears and 32" tires)
