    Sir , What is the difference between simple connection and simply supported beam ? Will moment be 0 at support or connection? Can we say that hinged connection?
    Should we use support moments calculated by moment distribution (or any other method of analysis for continuous beam) or should we use wl^2/12 or wl^2/24 ?

    wl^2/12 or wl^2/24 these formulas are for beam carrying udl. But what should we do for udl with point load?

      Point load will transfer to the adjacent column depends on where point load act on beam for eg. If it is at the centre it will transfer half on each column accordingly.

    4:07 Why should be used Wl^2/24 for simple connection instead of Wl^2/8 as a simply supported beam carrying UDL? Where is the Wl^2/24 is the span moment for fixed beam.Moment at end support of simply supported beam will be zero.

      The framed connection are either rigid connection or simple connection, wl2/8 is for simply supported beam design, for rigid connection the moment on wl2/12 at support n for simple connection it's half of this...

      Agar frame me column moment nikale to wl2/24 le to dikaat to nahi hogi kya??? Wl2/24 se moment to sahi milegi kya column par???
