All the things I wished for in the game as a kid are coming true from all these creative developers! Sometimes I wish I was a kid without a day job to be getting obsessed with multiple games at a time. Your game is on my list ! Ur game woulda made 13 year old me leave her body aha 🙈🙈🙈🙈 thank you so much for your creativity and imagination
I’m really glad Stardew Valley inspires so many people to make farming sim games. It’s a genre that was pretty under used outside of harvest moon and some competition is great for making better games.
This. The genre was dead and "monopolized" by Harvest Moon with their crappy-childish titles, HM used to be great tho, they just turn pretty meh. Then Stardew Valley revived the genre (ironically mainly inspired by Harvest Moon), it became like that farming game a lot of people expected for many years, with the plus of being launched for PC, which Harvest Moon never did.
If I recall correctly their goal is for consoles to be about 6 months after PC full release. Could be wrong though. I backed it on kickstarter and intend to get it for switch so I have the long wait.
@@ronenrusaida386 I'm with Ronen on this, will buy the PC version as soon as it is available, and if it good as it seems to be, I will get the Switch version when it releases too!
I've added the following to my Steam wishlist: Coral Island, My Time at Sandrock, and One Lonely Outpost. As long as multiplayer isn't required and there's a strong single-player element, it's definitely something I'll consider.
I'm glad the indie developers care about the simulation genre. All AAA devs care about is action games and FPS. It is still baffling how no company has tried to create something like a high budget Stardew Valley. People say E3 is boring. It wouldn't be at all if devs had more diversity in the game genres they explored.

This was a great video, and I am looking forward to so many great games now!!
I'm a backer for Ova Magica and it's definitely coming on Switch as that's my designated platform for the physical release. There are so many of these farming games coming out it's hard to keep up especially since so many of them look great. Thanks for the video!
I've had Sun Haven one wish list for a while now and hearing everything you can do in the game here really sold me for it. It reminds me so much of Fantasy Life for the 3ds and I adore that game
In the near-term, I’m most excited about Sandrock and Sun Haven. The latter I’m waiting on maps and a bit of controller support before I start it to avoid frustration (I’m WASD-challenged! 😂). I was excited to see cool 2 games I’d not heard about too - Potion Permit and The Ranchers! TY!! Oh, and not on your list, but looks awesome with farming, mining, etc is Len’s Island. It’s coming in Oct 2021. I wasn’t that into it until I played the demo in the recent Steam event. Thanks for the awesome list, Sharky!
Love this list! So many awesome looking games! One that I recently came across that I am getting really excited for is "Sunny Side". It has some very different mechanics from the typical farming/life sims we have all gotten used to.
So glad you put Coral Island in this list. Definitely highly anticipated. I'm sure I'm not the only one who cheered when they met their goal and more with the kickstarter. Lol, I just know I'll cry happy tears when the Switch release is out.
Lone Farmer looks like it would be perfectly suited for VR. I backed 2 of the games you spoke about, "My Time at Sandrock." a no brainer to back after the hours I poured into Portia and "Coral Island" a bit of a punt but it's looking very promising. Surprised you never mentioned Palia. Cheers for the video, mate.
The biggeer question would be- "which games I DON'T want?" So many great games coming but I guess the one I most excited about is Slime Rancer 2 and Roots of Patcha. Thanks for sharing these great games with us!
Dude thank you for this. I haven't even finished but Monster Harvest and Lone Farm looks freaking sweet!! And Coral Island my god, too many great games and too little time.
These look so good! Potion Permit is definitely going on my wishlist! Have you looked into Sunnyside? It's made by RainyGames. Don't know when it's coming, but the update logs look promising!
Yeah they still should because they're copying those games and putting them together, I mean it's cool I guess but they're acting like it was all original ideas when it's obviously copied ya know?
Only excited for my time At Sandrock because I prefer simplicity over complexity when to comes to these games which I've tried a few of but they turn me off once I see the inventory ,etc management hassles and my time at Portia was simple enough for it to remain fun
Great list!! I’m hugely excited for Coral Island and keep an eye in the discord. You have piqued my interest in Ova Magicka and Potion Permit though- can definitely see myself adding these to my switch!!
An amazing list!! I knew about a lot of them but there were a fair few that I didn't actually know which surprised me because I tend to keep up with this sort of stuff. I think out of the ones I didn't know about, I thought Potion Permit looked really good. That being said, I can't wait to play a lot of these games haha
Thanks for the great video. I actually didn't know about most of the games. Kitaria Fables and Potion Permit really caught my interest, the latter looks like a nice mix of a farm RPG and an Atelier game.
I had heard of (and mostly either Kickstarted, pre-ordered, or wishlisted) these titles, but The Ranchers somehow slipped past me! Added to wishlist! From what developers have said, there is no marriage in Potion Permit, just dating.
I'm so excited for potion permit and a new leaf also I played several farming games in steam fest which looks so cute like ryewood town and something of the island
