Hands-down, iPhone 13 Pro Max still remains the best iPhone Apple has ever created. it laid the groundwork when it comes to battery life for the iPhone. The iPhone 13 Pro Max had the biggest battery ever in any iPhone until it was surpassed by both the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the iPhone 15 plus. Apple got everything right with this phone, it’s definitely still worth a purchase in 2023 and Beyond.
I have a 13 Pro Max that I bought when they first came out 2 years ago. I agree that it's still extremely relevant and a better choice than the current base model. The only reason I may upgrade later this year is when Spatial Photography becomes available. Somebody smart once said don't buy products on the promise of features ... so when the feature really exists I'll really evaluate it.
After a bit of research I recently went from an XS Max 512gb to the 13 Pro Max 256. The battery life is astounding! The 13 was purchased from a refurb site in 'excellent' condition with 94% battery for around £700. Happy!
I actually owned the 14 Pro then traded it in for a MacBook Air and went back to my paid off 13 Pro with 100% battery health. I have actually been thinking about going back to a 14 Pro because I actually enjoyed the Dynamic Island and AOD but I agree, the 13 Pro series is super solid and there really isn’t much incentive to upgrade to the 15 Pros this year.
Still rocking my 13 pro max as well, insane battery life and still the best and complete in terms of performance, no overheating issues, no major bugs that apple has ever made. I will say that the notch is still an eyesore for me personally especially after the DI got added to the regular 15s...only thing I'm missing and simply just not good enough to upgrade(I have the AirPods pros 1st gen and iPad Air 3rd gen so charging via lightning is still necessary for me hence the USB-C not being a big deal)
I love my 13 pro max in sierra blue. Ive had it since day one release, been using it very heavily for everything, photos, videos, streaming movies, music, games, streaming and remote playing xbox games with a backbone controller, for work, etc! My battery is still at 87% battery health despite the super heavy daily use!
I have owned my 13 Pro Max for just under a year now and its on 95% battery health. I have to say, I am the only person at work and my social circles who never has their charger on hand...I literally can just trust it to do the day and then some more and I have never looked for a charger ever...and I feel good about because when I bought it my goal was to have high performance on my phone with champion battery endurance

The 13 and 14 pro images just looked nicer to my eye, with the 14 pro being slightly superior in low-light settings.
I do appreciate usb-c, but I always charge my 13 pro max wirelessly. If I were to switch phones now, I would actually be more interested in replacing my 13 pro max 128gb with a 13 pro with 512gb or 1tb because of the size of the phone, and that I now need more storage. Great review man! 👏
Sticking with my green 13 pro max as long as possible. Will replace battery WHEN its needed and continue to use it until no updates and/or begins to show its age. Best iPhone I have used. And its the last model with a physical sim which will make it a great unlocked travel phone! Plus, that green is the best color Apple came out with for the Pro Max lineup. Fight me!

I'm really pleased with my 15 PM but one big thing due to the sensors is that the 13 PM is better for close photos or product photography and even things like scanning serials or taking photos of say labels on a laptop. I also prefer watching RUclips on iPhone 13 PM as 2:1 content doesn't get cut into by the notch.

Totally agree with him about the price. I just got an iPhone 13 Pro Max for $510 excluding shipping and stuff. Everything works, it has a decent amount of scratches (that you can’t see one the display is on) and 94% battery health. The only negative thing i have to say is that it’s carrier locked, so i have to go to my country’s carrier tomorrow and most likely pay tor that cuz i don’t trust the online carrier unlockers.
I still have my 13 Pro max with 98% battery health, no scratches and I charge it every 3rd day. It has a great camera, I have 3 Apple leather cases - I’m not selling this iPhone for a few more years.😊
Still using my 13 Pro Max for the 18 months & even at 98% battery life, it's a champ. I have never killed the battery in all that time averaging 2 days on a single charge. The single best phone I have ever owned.
I've had the 13 Pro Max since January 2022 and intend to hold onto it well into the future. I've never owned a phone longer than this one. I even have two friends who bought 13 Pros in the last year over the 14s.
I have the 13 Pro Max & I really love it. The photos turn out with a spectacular result…& I take thousands of photos & videos. The photos & videos look very professional. I plan on using it for quite a while. I know that I will never sell it! Maybe many of you have great experiences presently also with this 13 Pro Max.😊
True enough my Sierra Blue 13 Pro Max is still my go to tank. Even @ 86% BH I have no problem making through a day or two. I tried using a 14 pro max and I hated the dynamic island while watching youtube or netflix.
Just started on my third year with the 13ProMax@IOS15 and the battery still holds up. I can (easily) go two to three days without thinking about charging. It has been countless times in the ground both flooring and concrete (with cover) and hasnt made a scratch or cracked once. It's indeed a sturdy beast. IF anyone decides to jump on the 13th Gen i would recommend to keep it at IOS15, do not upgrade. This will save you some cpu and will definetly keep your battery healthy for YEARS to come.
🙋🏽♂️ I’m actually using the 13 Pro Max to make this comment and I’ll say it too this phone still holds up and I haven’t had any problems at all and i’ve been happy since I’ve owned it. Great phone.
I upgraded from 13 Pro to 15 Pro a few weeks ago and I regretted it at first. After a few weeks, I decided to keep the 15 Pro and sold the 13 Pro. The lighter weight, the action button, the USB C, and the cameras are enough for me to upgrade. I am also learning to take photos using a mirrorless camera and now I can use my OTG card reader to instantly view and transfer photos to my phone instead of sending them thru Fuji X-app / wifi. Very helpful for me.
Got my 13PM Sierra Blue (my first ever iPhone) in Dec. 2021 so I don’t have anything to compare it with. 2 years now, the battery health is at 86% and still runs a full day and more when charged to 100%. Although quite heavy, it’s basically a small computer which is what I love the most about it. So smooth and everything works great!
I’m rocking a 13pro max and I love it, still think it’s a good phone in 2023 and will still be even in 2024. It’s has amazing battery life trust me and it isn’t really that different from the 15pro other than the charging system. I’ll happily wait till and 16pro or even a 17pro before upgrading
still using the 13 pm. no reason for me to upgrade so im skipping ! tons of lighting cable around anyway. sierra blue might be the best colour recently imo.
@@hello-yw8ec i play intensive game, my phone is now on 83%. and i still feel that if i am busy out for a whole day it will last me a day. plus i pretty sure 92% on your 13pm will not be far from the 15pm 100% from what it seems like the battery consumption went up.
Last year, I upgraded from the iPhone 7 to the XS, while my kids went from X to 13 Pro. I HATE the weight of their phone, so definitely won’t be looking to purchase the 13 Pro Max. I was considering the 13 Mini when my XS stops getting the latest iOS (guessing this time next year) but, with the new Pros getting a lighter weight frame, that idea is probably redundant. Fingers crossed there’s a mid year colour, like the green 13 Pro my kids got - and then covered with a full case (🤦🏻♀️). Thanks for the vid, as always!
I still own my iPhone 13 Pro Max and I have ZERO intention to upgrade. It is an amazing phone and exceeds all my expectations and needs. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll consider upgrading in about 5 years or so. Such a great phone! If I had to pick one minor detail about this phone, it would be that it may be too heavy for some people. However, I have never experienced any inconvenience due to the weight, and I have never experienced pain in my hands or palms after using my phone for an extended period of time. But I understand that everyone is different.
@@Zuri1181 yes please go with the promax. It is a way better option than the base model or even the base pro model just due to the battery life alone you won't be disappointed as even though it is more heavy than the other phones it is still lightweight. I can see myself using it for another 4 to 5 years
The 13PM is a very solid device. Would’ve bought it if I didn’t already have my 15 plus with a SIM card slot. I hate the American version, the one with NO SIM card slot.
One other great thing is if you travel overseas. This is the last Iphone to have a physical sim card slot. There is lot of countries you need to get a local physical sim card on arrival. Many countries just aren't ready for full esim yet.
I feel like we should only buy previous models pro line up, base iPhone 15 has A16 Bionic so does the 14 pro and with the pro you get pro motion, always on, better camera than the base 15 cause of the pro camera system that supports pro res video and can take 48 megapixel photos as where the base 15 has none of these features despite both of them also having the same chip/processor
I am here for performance and in India I can get iphone 13 pro max refurbished at 75k and iphone 15 is 80k but the 15 does not have 120 hz What would u recommend
Yep still loving it for the smaller notch and the green edition that I obtained at! Still using it to date and can’t feel a big difference to what I test in store!
That’s exactly what I did. Bought a refurbished in excellent condition and with good price. So far the only thing I don’t like is how heavy the phone is.
I’ve got an iPhone 13 Pro and I’m gonna hold onto it till it totally dies! My wife was told her iPhone 13 mini rf bands are failing and that’s why she’s getting dropped calls, so I might even upgrade to the 13 pro max and give her my 13 pro!
Rocking the 13 Pro Max and have no compelling reason to move to a 15. Of course, I kept my X from 2017 until I picked up the 13, so I'm definitely not one of those "gotta have the latest/newest/greatest device" people :).
Not too much of an iPhone guy. I had a Zfold 4 and decided to return it and give iPhone a try. Bought an iPhone 13 Pro Max 256gb from my buddy for $500. Wasn’t sure if I overpaid or not. After watching this I’m starting to think maybe I got a good deal. Hahahaha I like it. It’s an all around solid phone.
I bought my 13PM about 3 months before the release of the 14 series. Although I was doubting my decision at the time, I can say it was the right choice. I got the 256GB Alpine Green (still the best colour in my opinion on any recent iPhone) and it is holding up extremely well. None of the new features made me want to switch, even to the 15. I still have an OLED 120hz display, great battery life, great cameras for everyday use, and the A15 Bionic chip is still very capable. I see myself holding on this phone for the next couple years for sure.
The 13 Pro Max has been the best iteration of the iPhone to date, at least for me! I've owned every iPhone.. well except the 5C and XS Max.. and the 13 PM has been spectacular! Refused to upgrade ( or now, as I see it as a downgrade ) to the 14 PM and the 15 PM primarily due to the esim only option! Plus, no real QoL improvements! The 13 PM with my the Apple Watch ultra and Galaxy S23 Ultra is the perfect combo for my use case.
Thank you so muchhhh for the video, my father just bought it for me as a surprise and I couldn't be more happier 😥🥺❤️❤️❤️ he bought it 600 dollars 128gb Battery 96% , I'm using huwawi right now and im so excited to try the ios, But im worried that the pri max is too big for my hand and the 128 won't be enough, should i change it? What you guys recommend?
If you have it with AppleCare, they should repair it without problem since you’re in their services. But if it costs more to fix it than to buy a new one, consider upgrading
@@jxon2554 guess my hypothetical is if it’s damaged to the point they would give you a new phone, what would they replace it with? I have ACare+ so wouldn’t be expecting to buy anything. Thanks!
Still have my iPhone 13 Pro Max since release date, works and looks like new. Sure the battery capacity is now at 86% but it still lasts long enough throughout the day. I checked out the 15 pro max recently in the store and it didn’t feel enough of an upgrade yet. Maybe the 16 Ultra with 6.9 inch screen next year… MAYBE
I personally don’t buy used, I prefer to buy my tech new. Then I keep for several years. Im still loving my 14 pro max, I like the dynamic island. I’m still using an IPad Air 4 and a 2013 MacBook Pro. The MacBook runs great with Mac OS Sonoma using “open core legacy patcher”
I got my iPhone 13 Pro Max when it released and its looks and acts brand new, battery life is still incredible, I can get through 24 hours easily on a single charge.
This phone is super heavy but it has a SIM card. Some type of freedom feeling knowing that you have it is amazing. But it is worth every bit as much as the new 16. It’s a Toyota tundra built into a Mercedes. Reliable fast and amazing. Still heavy but having the iphone they will try to top for the next 10 years is awesome.
Upgraded from a iPhone 7 30 gb to a 13 pro max in April 2021. I picked out the pro max because I wanted to take better pictures, enjoy 120 hertz display, and bigger battery/storage. The phone’s been good to me and I plan to use it until Apple stops supporting it IOS update wise.
Still rocking my iPhone 13 Pro Max this 2024. Not looking into upgrading soon. My wife upgraded to the 15 Pro Max and have tried using it personally for a month but I think my 13 Pro Max is more than enough for my daily tasks and gaming. Can still last more than a day without connecting it to a charger at 84% battery health.
And the 13 series (both normal and pros) are the ONLY ones that have reduced notches. Oops regular 14s too and thats it. :) Iphone X, XS, 11 series, 12 series all have big notches.. Iphone 14 pro series, Iphone 15 series (both regular and pros) have dynamic islands. We may even have them for the 16 series also...
Me with my iPhone 13 Pro Max 😍 Love this phone so much. Still buttery smooth, fast. Doesn’t lag. And definitely does what I need it to do without any problems. Even to this day the battery life is amazing. Which I have at 94%
Just got my 13 PM (256G) for 660 EUR here in Germany in a great shape. Given the fact that here a 15PM costs 1450 EUR, I think it would be extremely stupid to buy the newer one. There is absolutely no way to justify an extra 700 EUR.
I have had the 13 pro max for a year now. Amazing phone with great battery life and beautiful camera system. As my battery condition went down the screen sometimes flickers tho that is unfortunate, as well as it has lagged on me a couple of times and even completely froze while doing normal tasks. Other than that great phone
13 pro screen only goes down to 10hz, the regular 15 has 6gb of ram, newer processor, better cameras especially the telephoto, feels better in hand, battery last longer.
Hey @TheEverydayDad iPhone 13 Pro Max display refresh rates vary between 120Hz and 10Hz not 1Hz like 14 & 15 Pro Max, that's why they haven't given the always on display to 13 Pro Max with AOD(Always On Display) feature.
Bought my iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB for only $1050 CAD, on facebook market and I love it, I use both android and iOS, ios because imessage and apps are actually optimized alot better and i carry my s22 ultra for the cameras, i couldve went for the iphone 14 pro max 128gb or even the iphone 15 plus, but I always heard the 13 pm has the best battery life, and using android also, i cant go back to 60 hz displays, theyre too choppy. Plus 128gb isnt enough space anymore, can't believe we used to have 8GB iphones
I bought this when it came out with the plan of using it for 10 years. So far I’m right on schedule. It’s the first time I feel like I am somewhat future proof on a phone. Tired of having thousands of dollars in phones sitting in a drawer.

Crazy 😂 I just bought a 12.9 in iPad M2 as my new iPhone can’t wait
you are great tech reviewer in my opinion you explained very well thanks for that
Just started on my third year with the 13ProMax@IOS15 and the battery still holds up.
]Ordering one right now. Thank you for this valuable information sir!
🙋🏽♂️ I’m actually using the 13 Pro Max to make this comment and I’ll say it too this phone still holds up and I haven’t had any problems at all and i’ve been happy since I’ve owned it. Great phone.
Easily the best device iv ever owned
Planning to go for it soon
I upgraded from 13 Pro to 15 Pro a few weeks ago and I regretted it at first. After a few weeks, I decided to keep the 15 Pro and sold the 13 Pro. The lighter weight, the action button, the USB C, and the cameras are enough for me to upgrade.
I am also learning to take photos using a mirrorless camera and now I can use my OTG card reader to instantly view and transfer photos to my phone instead of sending them thru Fuji X-app / wifi. Very helpful for me.
Does it actually heat up than normal phones as people say
@@OumarMohammed-ir9tr with the currect version of iOS, so far i have not experienced any heating issue. So far so good.
I just bought my 13 pro max out of pocket about 5 days ago and I love it. I had a XS Max and I’m gonna miss her but babbyyyy, I’m in love🥰
I’ll happily wait till and 16pro or even a 17pro before upgrading
bought it again few days ago 256GB varient.. and i dont regret buying it again in 2024. This phone is still Beast🔥
short answer: PHYSICAL SIM SLOT
Only correct answer
still using the 13 pm. no reason for me to upgrade so im skipping ! tons of lighting cable around anyway. sierra blue might be the best colour recently imo.
I might buy a new battery since it has 92%
Agreed
@@hello-yw8ec i play intensive game, my phone is now on 83%. and i still feel that if i am busy out for a whole day it will last me a day. plus i pretty sure 92% on your 13pm will not be far from the 15pm 100% from what it seems like the battery consumption went up.
My battery health is at 96% after a year of use. I might consider changing batteries after another year of use or so
@@hello-yw8ecyou only need a new battery at around 80%
I already owned a 13 pro max i bought a 15 pro max and im happy with the 15pro max, 13 pro max was still a great device. Very solid
Just picked one up for $612 on Amazon. I’m currently using an X so I’m pretty excited
Brand new?
@@primemen001 refurbished but it’s been 5 months and it’s been perfect!
Wish I would’ve seen this a few days ago when I upgraded from 13pro max to 15 pro max
Not happy with the upgrade?!
What made you want to upgrade though?
I have the iPhone 13 Pro it’s still going strong
I still own my iPhone 13 Pro Max and I have ZERO intention to upgrade. It is an amazing phone and exceeds all my expectations and needs. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll consider upgrading in about 5 years or so.
Such a great phone! If I had to pick one minor detail about this phone, it would be that it may be too heavy for some people. However, I have never experienced any inconvenience due to the weight, and I have never experienced pain in my hands or palms after using my phone for an extended period of time. But I understand that everyone is different.
Please advise can i buy 13 pro max for next 4 year use. i am normal user please suggest
@@Zuri1181 yes please go with the promax. It is a way better option than the base model or even the base pro model just due to the battery life alone you won't be disappointed as even though it is more heavy than the other phones it is still lightweight. I can see myself using it for another 4 to 5 years
@@Alex-ov7bm please give an
advice should i buy s22 ultra or 13 promax
13 Pro user here. Very good phone. A 4-5 years smartphone✅
Detailed and super honest! Subscribed. Moving onto your 14pm in 2024
Currently using both 15 pro max and my iPhone 13 pro max as well
512 gb
The 13PM is a very solid device. Would’ve bought it if I didn’t already have my 15 plus with a SIM card slot. I hate the American version, the one with NO SIM card slot.
Using Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max white 128 upgrade every two years 🙏
One other great thing is if you travel overseas.
I am here for performance and in India I can get iphone 13 pro max refurbished at 75k and iphone 15 is 80k but the 15 does not have 120 hz
What would u recommend
Yep still loving it for the smaller notch and the green edition that I obtained at! Still using it to date and can’t feel a big difference to what I test in store!
I got the 13PM in September 23 brand new and it’s a beast. The battery is awesome.
It’s an all around solid phone.
i got one for 200 unlocked just a cracked screen works perfectly
Brilliant points! Thanks!
Well I followed your advice and purchased one on Amazon today. Lets hope you're right Gary
I owned an iphone 13 pro max recently. I love it 😊
Changed my XR to Iphone 13 pro max recently. so far very impressed with the quality and speed
It's not just the price but the frame itself .
Thank you so muchhhh for the video, my father just bought it for me as a surprise and I couldn't be more happier 😥🥺❤️❤️❤️ he bought it 600 dollars 128gb
Battery 96%
, I'm using huwawi right now and im so excited to try the ios,
But im worried that the pri max is too big for my hand and the 128 won't be enough, should i change it? What you guys recommend?
the battery it just so good man
Question: if my 13promax breaks what will AppleCare replace it with if it’s discontinued?
Can anyone see my comment? I noticed I never get any likes or replies 🤷🏻♂️
Test
If you have it with AppleCare, they should repair it without problem since you’re in their services. But if it costs more to fix it than to buy a new one, consider upgrading
@@jxon2554 guess my hypothetical is if it’s damaged to the point they would give you a new phone, what would they replace it with? I have ACare+ so wouldn’t be expecting to buy anything. Thanks!
I also buy phones outright from Apple so no carrier involved really
Still have my iPhone 13 Pro Max since release date, works and looks like new. Sure the battery capacity is now at 86% but it still lasts long enough throughout the day. I checked out the 15 pro max recently in the store and it didn’t feel enough of an upgrade yet. Maybe the 16 Ultra with 6.9 inch screen next year… MAYBE
oh wow i had mine since launch and mines at 94
@@Cjmboo damn lucky
I just purchased the iPhone 13 PM yesterday for free from my carrier. Win Win for me
The video that ive been waiting for ❤
13 pro max is the new best phone since the 11 or iPhone 5s(I think that was the one everyone was hyped over)
I personally don’t buy used, I prefer to buy my tech new.
Still rocking my iPhone 13 Pro Max all now🎉
Upgraded from a iPhone 7 30 gb to a 13 pro max in April 2021. I picked out the pro max because I wanted to take better pictures, enjoy 120 hertz display, and bigger battery/storage. The phone’s been good to me and I plan to use it until Apple stops supporting it IOS update wise.
You picked it up 7 months before it was released? Impressive
Still rocking my 13promax along with my Apple Watch Ultra and iPad Air
And the 13 series (both normal and pros) are the ONLY ones that have reduced notches. Oops regular 14s too and thats it. :)
Iphone X, XS, 11 series, 12 series all have big notches..
I have 11 promax and planning to upgrade to 13 promax next year❤
Rockin the 13 pro but just ordered the 15 Pro Max for the weight, ubc and battery life 🥶
Update?
Is 780 usd for 256gig model in India be a good deal? Given 15 pro cost ~1700 usd here.
I got iPhone 13 Pro for $500 on back market. I’ve been using the phone for 2 weeks now and I couldn’t be happier.
Hi guys is it worth buying a iPhone 13 promax 89%. Battery 🔋?
Yeah still worth it as long as you don’t pay more than $700.
I still rock my iPhone 13 pro max from 2 years ago also I love it
Just purchased my Alpine Green model for 570$👌🏽 I’ve been on IPhone 11 for years now lol
Now that's what I want to hear!
I bought this when it came out with the plan of using it for 10 years. So far I’m right on schedule. It’s the first time I feel like I am somewhat future proof on a phone. Tired of having thousands of dollars in phones sitting in a drawer.
Is it great for making yt videos? Like vlogs and reels?
