      The Guy what is better for beginners? Ubuntu or mint?

    • @pena3976
      @pena3976 4 года назад +8

      @@jonathanlange1339 I used Ubuntu for few weeks after my comment about downloading it. I still think in the same way as I have done for years. Mint is more friendly for eyes. Ubuntu is technically simpler, but it is not. I think every button is just too huge. Ubuntu may be better for old people that want to learn PC, but anyone under 30's should be using Mint.
      Sorry for my English, I am not too good with it.

    I just started using ubuntu today and It is way faster than when I used windows. I was afraid of using ubuntu at first because I needed microsoft office for some school projects but it also offered that. The ubuntu software makes the download of the apps way easier than some other linux distros and I personaly find it way more useful than the windows 10 app store.

    Current UBUNTU is just an improved and nicer looking version of this, every year it gets closer and closer to being able to completely replace Windows for a mainstream normal user. sure there are a few hiccups but as a student software developer i'm sure i'll be fine. I actually enjoy learning Bash and how to use the terminal, it's refreshing to just type sudo apt-get theappiwant and it just installs immediately with no restart needed.

I have to reset the virtual box to makw it run again and it shows it wasn't shut down properly. What does that button do?

    I would like to see about files management. In windows it's very easy to identify hard drives in anything we are doing.

    Using Ubuntu for a very long time primarily for entertainment surfing, I have a couple laptops that have Intel HD graphics and the kernel is better than Windows. I was having HDMI audio freezing with w10. This hardware hasn't been supported since w8. Only thing I don't like is Firefox doesn't allow me to easily save a URL shortcut on the desktop.

    dual-booted ubuntu on my cheap, generic windows laptop, and couldn't be happier! Plus it's great for my programming, since Ruby and Rails are optimized for Linux and sucks on Windows.
