      @@erictobias7 I've been watching countless videos and interviews and though I can't say for sure if I believe this way or not but it seems alot like Mike doesn't like Chester "monopolizing" the interviews, getting alot of the attention from fans, etc. Like he was tired of "living in Chester's shadow" so to speak. It almost seems also that like in their last live performances the overall dynamic and behavior between all the members was different, not so playful, energetic, or into the performances or music. Maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there, but maybe to some degree Mike was tired of Chester being the "center of attention" and/or people acting like it was Chester's band...even after Chester's death, Mike seemed like he still didn't/doesn't like how much attention, love and heartache Chester's fans are expressing

      As someone who has depression, the last thing I would want when I talk about it is for people to stare at me with pity and tell me how sorry they are and how horrible that must be. This just makes things awkward, makes me feel like people won't view me the same and act differently towards me if I open up, and makes me not want to talk about it. From talking to other people who have depression, I gather that this feeling is fairly common, and many people would prefer their friends to laugh at the jokes, continue talking, etc. as if it's not a big deal.
      For most of his career, Chester did not talk openly about his depression. When he started doing it, his bandmates, friends and family tried to encourage him to do it more because they thought it might help him, along with helping others feel less alone (according to things they said themselves). I believe that was what Mike was doing here. He was not trying to be disrespectful, and did not minimize how much Chester was suffering, just eased the tension.

    Mikes a real one. You can see him listening and reacting to the way Chester words and expresses his pov of everything, and a lot of times trying to make sure he elaborates on how much and how often he fights through his battles.
    You can see that he was there during Chester’s darkest times and still tried to paint him in a kind of “heroic”(?) light. He genuinely listens to everything Chester says here, and at times it seems like he’s maybe proud of Chester being able to talk about it so freely, but Mike was such a good friend to him

And just seeing how he can reacting when it’s his turn to talk and he can just be himself and silly then all a sudden “ten huh” stance. It really makes you think. Obviously he wasn’t in military nor was I. But how he reacts on that aspect. and shows he’s truly trying to prove that he is paying attention when anyone is speaking. (He’s also fidgeting so he can stay paying attention yet also anxious. Swear I see adhd and he’s just fighting it. Marcus Wuebbolt I agree. I feel like I’ve wasted so much of my time since all these years I could’ve been a follower of them. It’s only this year that I got really into Linkin Park. It makes me really sad.

      @HOW DARE YOU I listened to LP as well sometimes, but of course when he died, their music became much more real as I also suffer from depression. People need to stop blaming eachother for fake caring, because obviously, even when he's dead, they care a lot.

    • @mraverage_fn
      @mraverage_fn 4 года назад

      @HOW DARE YOU of course its wrong to just like a band because a member died and THAT is what fake caring means to me personally. But it doesnt mean being already keen in somebodys work already, and then being interested more when this person is dead, especially due to suicide. I get what you tryna say and I already mentioned it IS weird to hate Linkin Park before and love them apparently, and thats what makes allowing to care about celebs so hard, because many people will offend you to be fake-caring although they dont really know the circumstances what leads people to seemingly fake-care.
      Not saying that fake-caring is a nice thing anyway, it just makes real caring being difficult.

    • @mraverage_fn
      @mraverage_fn 4 года назад

      @HOW DARE YOU how would you judge that? Quite risky statement.

    • @mraverage_fn
      @mraverage_fn 4 года назад

      @HOW DARE YOU you said it doesnt seem like everyone was interested before Chester died, but I see like a few dozen of comments like "I grew up with him". Dont know how that makes it look like "no one cared before he died".

    He's one of the people I listened to after he passed. Well two years after actually. I heard the name Chester Bennington and Chris Cornell but I never really got into them because I was in middle school and not into that stuff. I'm in high school now and I absolutely love Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Linkin Park. I got so hooked and it was especially big for me as I fell into a bad depression as well. It's sad that I'll never to get to tell any of my musical heroes how much they meant to me.

    He genuinely seemed like he was doing so much better in 2017 and seemed to genuinely be in love with life. It hurts my heart so much still. But I also felt everything he said about depression because I have felt it all too. I've hid how I've felt for so long and I can laugh and joke right along with the best of them while I've been silently screaming inside. It's not fair. We all need a little more Linkin Park/Chester Bennington in our lives. He's gone way too soon.

      You definitely need to watch again he doesn’t seem happy he’s just content I can see in anyone that is hurting can see he’s in very bad shape but it is nice that he is sober because I was definitely if he wasn’t with me damn questions this interview with her took a turn for the worse, but Chester is always so humble and so smart, on what to say if people in these comments are saying that he, they didn’t know that he was depressed or he was battling very very bad addiction then you definitely aren’t true fans because Chester will be remembered for all the lives he saved in people, struggling with the same issues as him and they survive and whatever they are going through because of his music but I have to remember how old I am😂 I remember going to on cue to sit in line for hybrid theory I just wish people w we’re giving their flowers before they leave us but unfortunately that’s not how our world wrks 2day ! I’m gonna go now watch my all-time favorite music, video and song of Chester always have to be crawling. Love you my dude.Rip❤
