This week Schony747 features trams along St Kilda Road. This part of St Kilda Road has wide panoramic views as the trams traverse the sweeping curves along the road. It's the afternoon peak so there is a cavalcade of trams that run past the camera. Here you will see the Comeng Z3, Comeng B2 and Siemens Combino D1 low floor trams.

Haven't been to Melbourne since 1997. Is the old tram running from City to North Carlton still operates? The old tram with brown leatherette seat if I recall correctly.
The City Circle still runs mate. North Fitzroy closed many years ago and the tram now resides at Southbank Tram Depot
I know there's a free tram zone, but I went on the whole length of the 96 to St Kilda and Back and I was the only one who touched on and off anywhere. Is there something I don't know?

I know that Yarra Trams wants to find sources of income, but seeing the garish ads painted on some of the trams is like King Charles wearing a Rolling Stones T-shirt in public.....
Yes it does spoil the great look of the tram. Funny though, just how effective are these ads? I can’t recall any I’ve seen!
Is it advertising or graffiti?
It's the same anywhere Bob and people obviously see the value in advertising on a tram otherwise we wouldn't see them. Sydney is no better.
