I own multiple mk3 vws right now. Feels great to see any representation. Forza is the only game that gives any mk3 love that I'm aware of.

Yeah idk how people can really hate this mod, i own a mk6 golf irl so its nice to see some golfs get added, its crazy people hate on it but they don't hate on the "real life car mods" that much, that are just meshslaps i do hope to see him add all kinds of golfs.
Edit: I was thinking of another modded who has a very bad name for allegedly saying racist/mass murder kinda things to people in the past, this author is not him however.
Yeah, I've seen the hate this thing gets and it's very agitating as this mod maker IS putting gold effort into it and too much hate could make them just quit and we don't need that.
@@FiniteFrNever seen such a thing. Some people accuse him of stealing from the Astro, which cannot be true because I don't see anything from th Astro except the wheels but that's hardly reason to hate and accuse the modder

Right, but have you noticed that the custom wheels don't work ? Like it spawns with default black steelies every time, which is quite disappointing

"My wheels are missing, how do I fix that?"
and then the author gives the response to that by saying
"You need the AW Bete in order for some of the wheels to work"

The Only bad (well bothersome to me) part of this mod is the use of the I6 sample for a VR6. The V6 samples are much closer to what a VR6 sounds like.
Being a mk3 golf owner myself, this mod is great! Interior configs are a bit too extreme though but that's just a small defect. Other small problems do exist if compared to the IRL car but all in all I like the mod 👍🏻
As a former Golf 3 user, the only thing bad about it was rust. It looked good and it was a great workhorse. Cheap and easy repairs, no unnecessary gadgets, low fuel consumption, low weight. Each newer version was a step backward.

Lil' Trivia: Ther VR in VR6 does not stand for vehicle racing. VR is literally the layout of the engine. It's both an V and an inline (R for Reihe) the banking is so small, both banks fit under the same cylinder head.

the mod does look to be quite good, but i'm a bit dissapointed that you didn't use the 1.9tdi version at all, because here in europe this engine has a legend status as the most durable engine alive and as a mk4 golf 1.9tdi owner it would be fun to see if it is similar to the real life engine
but other than that it's a great video, really enjoyed watching it

i get the feeling people choose to hate mods for no actual good reason, a friend of mine made a 6 rotor rotary engine, the mod is actually good, like yes, its wheelspin central, its gonna be, rotary engines are powerful for they're displacement, so you take it to 6 rotors and its gonna be bonkers, but the thing is, its got more effort than rotary mods that don't even have a custom engine model, let alone an actual engine model
to make a point someone complained that there was no exhaust....the exhaust is poking out of the engine bay, its kinda sad how they didn't see it

4:12 Neil the orange light is from the sun reflecting off the car, or 6:25 is the thing underneath the hood that is causing the orange light. Also in future plz do this mod again. This is the best video yet.
sadly that is not how BeamNG graphics work, the game doesn't have native ray tracing support yet either

When i bought my 2004 VW Golf TDI one of the selling points on the car from the dealer was the engine was designed to break free of the car in a crash. Not sure if that's true but this video reminded me of that
it is supposed to do that or the gearbox will visit your feet thru the firewall
@@Rolly369 The dealer said it was designed for the autobahn high speeds and in an accident the motor was designed to push under the car in a crash. Would love to know if that's true or just dealership BS?
as an owner of a MK3 vr6 Golf, this is meh. there's another mk3 mod out there that i downloaded that gets the VR6 sound and performance VERY close to the real thing. body needs some work, but the driving and sound feel VERY similar to my IRL car that has only minimal mods.

It needs a lot of work. A Variant (Wagon) version would also be nice since I own a Golf MK3 Variant.
it's honestly not too bad, the only issues that seem apparent are the steelies on the top trim models, seat textures, and the crash physics could be better, but I've seen much worse.

Great video Neil keep it up,I love this mod I think we need more like this in the actual game instead of the 6 wheel thing and that like slow off-road truck thing I want more vw golf or cavalier or a mini van I want normal cars, I think my most driven car on beam is basic cars like legran and base model 200bx

theres also a broken mk3 golf estate one in the modifications when you change the chassis. if anyone knows if there's another mod i need to download to get the estate working that would be appreciated

The orange glow might be a texture issue, as busted textures in Beam are an orange of that shade.
missing textures wouldnt place a pointlight into the world though

It's a good mod. Tried it now. I cannot say a bad word (maybe its not exactly developer-level detailed but still fun and realistic for a free mod and i can name at least 50 worse mods that are nowhere near the half of this mod quality).

Beamng comunity usually gets very toxic when we talk about modding, this is one of the best mods i've seen in a long time, it has alot of configs and different bodys, out there are modders doesnt even care about expanding their mod
