I remember thinking that "A STARLESS Clan" would be about a clan refusing to listen to StarClan after the chaos Ashfur caused (who was a StarClan cat and was there thanks to StarClan cats), but it ended up being about a leaderless clan.
The plot sounds good, interesting, and shows what would happen if leader and deputy disappeared, but I would have liked to see a clan become independent or see that they can live without the constant intervention of StarClan, which is a clan made of imperfect cats just like the living clans.
Same
I think "A Starless Clan" might also be talking about Splashtail and Podlight? Like they're not exactly Atheists, but they're extremely disrespectful towards Starclan. And they kicked out / killed anyone in power that did respect Starclan (ex: Reedwhisker, Frostpaw, Harelight). Though idk why they made Mothwing suddenly think that a clan needs Starclan's approval for a leader. Seems ooc

Starclan has always been complicated. Many times it has said that Starclan is not clear.
Why would they be? Wouldn’t be better to keep the plot going then just to end the book/plot there? If Starclan told them,it wouldn’t make it interesting.

I have always found StarClan VERYYY confusing. I feel like the more lore they add to try to clear things up, the more they just end up confusing things. Can we just go back to the first few books, when the magic system was STILLLLL complicated but at least a little more. . .simple?😫

I would not be surprised if, after what Bluestar said, the rest of Starclan agreed, and for a while just let things happen up until they started to realize that events that would destroy the rest of the clans would happen, and so a bunch of camps and politics were broken out among all of the cat groups of Starclan. So you know, there are some, like Bluestar, that believe in a non-interference policy, others who believe that interference is the only way to keep Starclan safe, and others who are just right down the middle.
Or maybe Bluestar had no authority on making her claim in the first place, and it was HER personal policy for HER clan, but everyone else is all gung-ho for divine intervention and Bluestar feels like she is the only voice of reason in an entire clan of idiots.
That would honestly not be such a bad plot choice, but to keep up the mystery of Starclan, I would not mind if this was told to us through the perspective of the other clans rather than being told to us through a direct narrative, at least for a few book series' up until a definitive canon is needed to be told to answer all of the questions. Or they could just leave it up in the air shortly afterward, I do not know.
Bluestar's a she-cat, just so you know :)
Honestly that’s probably likely 😅

Ever since it must mentioned, I never really liked the idea that a cat NEEDS some sort of connection to Starclan, it just never made sense. The only way a Starclan cat could visit a cat from the clans, said clan cat needed faith in Starclan to work, atleast that what happened with Mothwing. It’s just, I feel like the authors or editors or whoever is working on these books don’t care enough about the story or characters to put enough care into it’s continuity.
Starclan has defintely been stupid since they let in murderous Ashfur into Starclan when he should've been sent to the Dark Forest in the first place yet Curlfeather was immediately sent to the Dark Forest so Starclan is full of bs when it comes to determing who goes there and who does not
Plus juniper claw was sent to the dark forest
Dont forget frecklewish and mudclaw

Medicine cats: THEY ARE ABANDONING US
If StarClan were to just tell the cats that Splashtail is evil, there would be no story. The arc would be 1 book long. The Erins shot themselves in the foot by having StarClan physically interact with the cats by sending storms and by having them directly communicate with them. In this arc, the Erins seem to be fixing that by having StarClan be more hands-off and aloof like they were in TPB, but it doesn’t work too well now because we all know that StarClan can just tell the cats things so it seems like they’re letting Splashtail run wild for some reason.
This “they sent the storm to back up Frostpaw” scenario is your assumption. It is not explicitly stated in the book that that is what happened so it is easy to just see the storm for what it was: a storm. However, it is understandable why you would make that assumption because StarClan has been very hands-on for years and years now. It’s a conundrum that the Erins have to live with now which directly hinders their storytelling.
TLDR, StarClan is a mess. I believe the storm was just a storm.
Maybe the Erins could make a “starclan bad” plotline to make their mistake seem unintentional
@@Coocoocrazytoysreviews honestly that would be a story they've been unintentionally building up to for the past 10 if not more years xD
SC: “Mm! This prey tastes-“

Starclan: *random bullshit, go!*
Medicine cats: STARCLAN IS WATCHING OVER US, THIS MUST BE A SIGN!
Warriors has a horrible case of long running series disease. Not having a series bible doesn't help. Instead of keeping things consistent, they drop ideas for the sake of going back to old ones (StarClan can totally interfere vs they can't). I wish they gave the authors/editors/whoever develops the stories more time to make it all make sense. But at least they haven't had a comics-style multiverse-induced reboot yet, lol.
I guess star clan chooses when they want to be helpful
Welp, divine deities sometimes work in ways incomprehensible to us people.
Is it actually canon that Starclan sent a tree to fall on Mudclaw though? I always assumed that was just the living cats' interpretation of the event? I always got the impression that the clans just assume natural phenomena happens through Starclan, but we aren't really meant to take that literally. Like yeah a lot of it is very abrupt and coincidental, but that's plot (not my favorite plot with the wind tree thing and the storm ending quickly, but maybe i missed something on my reading cause i didnt think it was Starclan specifically for that. Sometimes storms do stop like that, just felt like heavy handed writing). They can warn the cats about events, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're causing them. They are inconsistent for sure especially with the leafpool squirrelflight stuff but the other examples specifically, I dunno.
Sidenote but yeah I also hate what they did to my girl Mothwing thooo
Yup. The clan cat interpreted it as a Starclan action. Just like they do with many things that are clearly not Starclan action. And the tempest in wind is not even said by any character to be caused by Starclan, this is purely a theory.
The reason the storm was abrupt and coincidental is because it's a book and the writing isn't perfect. As soon as the tempest did what it's supposed to they got rid of it like they do everytime we have a weather related issue.

The change fromt he oryginal series is basically a difference between someone who understands religion and is a believer writing about it VS someone who wants to have magic in their world but not make it entirelly "magic/fantasy".
Because Star Clan / afterlife in Warriors is no longer a religion. It's a magic system, and a very frustrating at that. Because magic systems should have rules to work, limitations etc, but those were NEVER established because THAT WAS NOT THE POINT OF STARCLAN. But it still leads to such magical deus ex machinism it makes my head hurt.
My god I just had a really heated discussion about Onestar and Mudclaw on a different video. Here’s my summary:
I think Mudclaw may have made a bad leader because of his actions in life. He probably would declare war on the clans, and try to rule the forest. Also, Darktails death would have been completely different without Onestar being Onestar. He wouldn’t have had the major decisions to help them win, and if Mudclaw became leader, he may not have even helped the other clans. So maybe StarClans interference was a good thing, especially because he was trying to kill a cat of his own clan. And, (I can’t remember if I’m right) but Onestar made him deputy, so he still had a chance to succeed him, if being leader was the thing he wanted(which I think it was) then he could have just stayed deputy on the hope that one day he would lead. The fact that he tried to kill Onestar just so he could become leader, was a bad sign. I think StarClans interference with the falling tree was good (or who knows it could have been just a falling tree) because it got rid of Mudclaw and gave them a place to gather.

I remember being so excited at the beginning of the broken code thinking starclan would actually be villains even though I knew the imposter was ashfur, I thought he was just the tip of the iceberg and there would be a whole ass cabal of starclan cats with an evil plan but no. Just ashfur doing dark forest stuff bc the only dead cats who are villains have to be from the dark forest. Even though ashfurs rise is starclans fault for enabling him and letting him into starclan in the first place
Love ur videos im reading the series for the 5 time because of you keepmit up
I feel like the cats are actually the ones that which interpret the weather as signs from starclan and starclan go with it, by sending visions which warn about the weather because starclan can predict the weather rather than control it. Perhaps they are more manipulating situations as they arise. Also maybe firestar has changed this since joining starclan.
In my oc story, starclan does not give prophecies but instead straight up tells the medicine cats what will happen in a way that does not spoil the story completely
Love ur videos Akira keep up the good work!
The Whistlepaw art is so cute!! Does Dako post her designs on a website? I would love to see them!
I just wish that the conflicts the starclan cats have between each other would be shown to the living cats more

Omg I love you channel
More like “Dose not make sense clan”
IM BACON, BACON YOU!!!!
god we all know that the windclan thing is now going to happen in skyclan
I don't think StarClan sent the storm in Wind, but it is weird that they didn't tell at least one of WindClan's medicine cats. At the same time, it kind of makes sense that they would tell Frostpaw so the other cats could trust her. Even if StarClan told the medicine cats point-blank that Frostpaw's telling the truth, many of the non-medicine cats would still not believe it unless there was evidence to prove it. Sending Frostpaw the message that predicted the tree falling on WindClan provides that evidence.
Love your videos! Keep it up

So much drama and destruction would be avoided if they just got to the point
AHHHHHH I JUST REALIZED THAT AKIRA SPOILED WIND WHICH MEANS THAT THEY REALESED IT
What I would love is if they realised this issue and chose to make it into a plot point instead, say maybe something had corrupt starclan and there was a plot about restoring starclan to its original state
“Heres an omen to help fix a problem WE made.”- Starclan
Yup, pretty much sums up everything.
EITHER they are just telling them what’s about to happen so they know, ORRRR they don’t cause it.
Starclan yaps about omens and doesn’t…really help much. I mean, yea they helped in the great battle and ashfur battle, but still..that’s all they did
I want more audiobooks/books that are FAN MADE with FANS ocs! It could be interesting with smth completely new! Like the real clans are just in the back and there’s a whole new world to explore! Idk I just think that could be rlly cool :>
starclan reminds me of the greek gods. supposedly deities but they're constantly making trouble for mortals
Imagine they rebel agenst star clan in changing skys
Are we just gonna ignore Frostpaws expression 4:38
My theory is that the next leader of riverclan will do something brave or other during splashtail's rein that makes the other cats support them, or maybe the next leader needs to learn a lesson during splashtail's rein. And therefore, starclan cannot kill splashtail
Star clan was always the most confusing thing to me
