Lol you made fitting that long aperture ring sooo easy(I fitted the plastic surround then tried to reattach the spring yep the hard way😂)My XD11 had a sluggish mirror damping piston so had to remove the lens mount and the black plastic surround to get at the piston assy. Look at your video maybe I might have just got away with taking the plastic surround off. Ah well we live and learn. Btw the service manual for this camera has process for cleaning and lubricant the damping piston (pump as you called it) basically just degreasing then lubricant with lite oil then wipe the oil off and reassemble.
Hi Garry, amazing work! Quick question, I noticed a "cling" sound (minute 10:25) when you fired the shutter, my XD-11 also sounds like that, is there a way to make it quieter again?

Hello Garry, I own an XD5 and this video helped me a lot. I still encounter a problem with the speed which does not change between 1 and 1000. When I choose B the mirror rises well according to my pressure. Do you have any leads?

Hello,
If the shutter speeds are not changing, it's typically either dirty shutter magnet or worse, bad IC chip.
