Enjoyed your video, thanks very much. Our local lake has these all along the shoreline making it very tough to land a fish. I made myself a small grappling hook and cleared an area for use. Also found out not to grab the chestnuts tightly as the pods are very sharp.
Great work. This has invaded a local watershed pond/reservoir I grew up fishing. I saw it a few years ago and had no idea what it was. Watched it spread and became curious. Now I see how devastating it is becoming. Still small enough to remove. maybe 100 square yards. Need to mobilize the local fishermen to spend a day before the seed pods drop and remove this ASAP.
