Great video, I regularly cycle around Bristol and have done a bit of Kayaking in Devon, this trip is now on my list.

How long did that take out of interest? Does the current favour that duration the whole day?

Hi. I did a very relaxed paddle in a not fast tracking kayak. I think I left around 10.30 am, arrived around 6.30-7pm or so. I’ve done Bath-Bristol early start, and got stuck at Nathan lock as it got dark around 6pm. Flow can vary, usually gentle in the summer, can be strong in the winter..

Looks awesome. How did you get to Saltford with your boat please?

Thanks. Taxi. The beauty of an inflatable. I've done it from Bath also: by train.

Did you go through the pass on the weir at the start with a skeg in? I want to try this route but my partner only has a cheap Intex and it looks like this would cause some damage

Also how long did the whole trip take? Really fancy this one.

@@breakbystealth Hi yes with a skeg. It's a smallish central skeg, and went down fine. It may depend on how much water there is.

@@breakbystealth A pretty long day without rushing. I think I started around 10am, and finished around 6.30-7pm. It would be quicker with faster flows. And it was very very hot!
