So much work out there that it doesn’t make sense to lower you price these days plus on top of all the cost of doing business now . I used to fall into the trap of trying to land everything, now I only want the good stuff

Every industry suffers from the people problem. Crazy how the same gripes between humans infect all industries, blue collar, white collar, doesn’t matter, managing people is a skill and rich or poor some are good and some are bad.
The law industry gets a lot of tire kickers who want a free initial meeting including legal advice and don’t want to pay or engage.
That "price shopper" sounds like a low baller.
Man I’ve had a few of these situations this week I actually had to decline 4 customers this week

I sold my 1981 oldsmobile cutlass for $800. This car was in great shape. Anyway the guy said he could pay me $600 cash now, then in 2 weeks he would pay me the other $200. After a few weeks of calling and texting him I got no response. So I got screwed out of $200. He didnt seem very friendly so I chickened out and never went back to his house.
When they say that tell them "Come back in 2 weeks when you have the full amount and it's yours. Until then it's still unsold."

We made the leap, we purchased two older walk behind encores, emptying out the old Wash trailer and hitting it hard for the year. No more working in the nursing home 💪
I do almost all of my quotes on the phone and email. It really cuts down on the tire kickers. Pricing is always tricky but as we have a full five star rating, it helps. I hope you have a great season. We still have snow but in a few weeks we should be rocking.

@@marksdailylife7808 I send then a templated email. I just look up the lawn on Google maps, use a tool to trace the lawn for size and send them a quote. I am not the cheap guy but there are more expensive guys.
Great video Jason. My yard get's better each year by following your suggestions. 6 years I had no knowledge of yard care and now many of my neighbors come to me for advice. I am certain;y no expert but because of your videos my yard is the best around. Retired last year so it's only going to get better!! Thanks again Jason.

If you think my prices are high. Wait until you get the bill from someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Lol
We are up here in nw arkansas, and temps are starting to stay warm. These people want to have a yard that is beautiful but dont want to pay. I always want to tell them, you dont negotiate with your dentist, walmart or your insurance why do you want to negotiate with your lawn care guy. Back in the day, i might have tried to compete with someones price but not now. I know my worth and stick to it. Everyone should know their value and not defer from it.
