    This Fix saved us such a pain removing and replacing 2x large 6' x 42" mirrors. Went to Home Depot near Vancouver and purchased 5 stick on tiles and cut 2 rows of pattern as you did. Cost $12/tile; actually looks amazing and did in 1 hour. So glad I found your video ... thank you for posting!

    Great idea! I'm wondering if it would work for my two door mirrored medicine cabinet. It has no frame, clips, or pulls. Hence we open it by grasping the bottom edge. And of course over time those place at the bottom edges oxydize and blacken. Each spot is an inch or so long. Obviously I could do this - placing tile strips to stop at center edge of each door. But am wondering if the strips themselves would then oxydize in same places (since there are no pulls). Previously I had thought of framing it all somehow. Don't want to replace cabinet, and it doesn't look like replacing the glass is possible.....

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  Год назад +1

      You could buy one tile, cut a strip off and see how the placement would be before removing the backing and adhering it to the medicine cabinet. Each tile costs about $11 so it is an affordable experiment at least 🙃

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  2 года назад +2

      I’m so glad this will help! It depends on if the clips are flat against the mirror or are the type that protrude out. If they protrude out, you might have a second person hold the mirror so you can back the clips out temporarily and you can place the tiles behind it and screw then back in. I have done this in a previous home.

      Great question! I should have shown that more clearly. The backing is a black soft foam-like layer that has the adhesive on it. When you cut the strips apart, there might be small pieces of the foam-like backing that didn’t cut smoothly. It’s best to pull those little pieces off before adhering it to the mirror. It will make for a smoother finish.

      This mirror had no clips. However, I had done this in a previous place before and I just backed the clips out and put new ones in. Just do one at a time. Your scenario is better though. Great video! I would love to do this but what about the clear “clips” that are holding the mirror?

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  2 года назад

      I had the same issue in my previous home. I recommend having a second person there if that’s the case. You can remove and replace them with new ones one at a time just make sure not to screw them in too tightly so you don’t crack the mirror. You can find the replacements online or at a hardware store.

    • @msvilove1
      @msvilove1 2 года назад

      Did you remove them🤔

    • @TammysHomeTips
      @TammysHomeTips  2 года назад

      I actually did but my husband helped me replace them. You would remove one at a time. Place the framing strip and then go back with a new clip in the same spot. Mine were resting on the clips so my husband made sure to support the mirror while I went through the process. It worked fine for me.” this way. But I wouldn’t have done this without help.
