I’m so with u about the prices. It feels like every new launch of dolls the price goes up plus the releases r so close together I can’t keep up.
I know right! I now only buy a few every line. Before, the first release of dolls were I think about 27 dollars or something in that range

My RH doll collection is growing by shopping sales pretty much exclusively. Thankfully my nearest Target is pretty far, or I would have already been to grab the Storm Twins and Ainsley's trunk set. They're releasing a little too fast for me personally, but the quality isn't going down. Can't wait to grab the series 4 girls.
Did a storage board like that but yours look great. Need to do it this way it stores so much more. Shadow High is my ultimate favorite line because of the grayscale and was supposed to stop after that since it was my first doll collection set. Then was pulled in to this. Have mostly all of them and they really do add up. Was able to get the special editions, like you at the 24.99 sale price. Happy for that.
Every time I see such fantastic RH/SH outfits it makes me so frustrated by the current Barbie lines. Obviously the price point is a little different, but it still shows a much greater attention to detail and realism than even the more expensive Barbie ranges. Do better Mattel!
i’m ngl, i’m 20 years old but i’ve been enjoying the rainbow high youtube series. and it’s cool to actually be able to recognize all these characters since i haven’t really been watching tv/shows as of recently
I remember when I used to get MH dolls for $19.99. I miss it. 😭
My favorite RH dolls are Delilah and Georgia. I love their color palates. It’s funny because I love writing and want to try acting! 😂
I'd love to see does the fit fit between the normal rainbow high dolls and juniors because I want to get them but it would be nice to see if they can share clothes. Also between lol omg and junior rainbow high dolls. (Shoes included. Not just clothing)
I can confirm they can share clothes, the Jrs and the high schoolers. Some skirts and parnts are a little loose on the JRs, so you might need a thread or two, or a safety pin to hold in place. shoes are a no from JR to high schooler. Jr clothing might be a little high up on the tummy for high schoolers, but it does fit, and shirts from high school to jr a teeny bit long. if you're a fan of baggy clothes on littles, or tight fits on older characters, I'm sure you'll find something that works.

I LOVE Does the Fit fit? so much. I bet the tops that won't close on Barbie will work for Skipper or Stacie!

I just got Lila Yamamoto yesterday and I LOVE her so much. There's those ones I'll wait for sales for and there's those ones I just need to live right away. I renamed her Ai Shu, because it's a pretty Chinese name, and she sits proudly on my desk with two pigtails and wavy bangs. (though I do sorta wanna dye all her hair purple so it's cohesive)

Coco's sporty vibe is EVERYTHING the royal blue and white works so perfectly with her skin tone and i love her subtle but metallic lip colour!!!! I'd prefer if you included a petite barbie when doing a does the fit fit video but i understand this vid was getting a bit long already :D
PS Im pretty sure rainbow high are making a product that is accessories in a blind box style to rival zuru's fashion surprise balls.
you mentioned wanting accessories to buy separately and I'm a million percent with you. I tend to dig my heels in a bit on buying whole new dolls, but if they came out with some fashion packs I'd tell them to shut up and take my money lol

I don't collect anything, I don't do crafts but I have always loved minis and dollhouses. I used to love going downtown to the Harbor and go into Harbor Place and look at the dollhouses and mini furniture(dining room tables with tiny newspapers spread out for crabs, Natty Boh beer cans, crab mallets & corn on the cob. Or full Thanksgiving dinners). You bought those old feelings and memories back Toya ❤❤!! I don't know or remember how I came across your channel but am so glad I did. I don't miss an upload. they all looked so pretty. i am so attempted to buy my first rainbow high doll but i can't decide on which one to get.
Ankle joints wouldn't work correctly with RH dolls because of the way the arched feet fit into the shoes. The toes would have to be pointed and it would look "off" when wearing flat shoes. The foot sculpt isn't designed for that.

As for mini-me candidates, I think Coco and Phaedra are your best options, they have the their less shiny faces, their skin tones both match yours pretty well, and they have the tiltable heads. Phaedra has the swappable legs, while Coco has a slightly more accurate skintone. Either one would be perfect for you.
Tonya, I don't know if you'll see this or not, but rainbow high clothes are perfect on skipper!
I love watching other people collect these but I don't plan on doing it myself. I have my hands full already trying to collect Barbie so RH, to me, is like a rabbit whole that I'm not prepared to get sucked into.
If their clothing and shoes, in particular, were a perfect fit for Barbie, I would collect them and it would probably be a nightmare because that would make them hard to find.
Love the video… Im doing the same with Rainbow High, buy 1, or 2 what I like the most, and wait for them to go on sale ….. I brush the product out the hair using a wig brush , and the hair stays fluffy , and original curl , washing makes the hair look flat , just a hint 💜

It is so hard to wait to buy a new doll (the new Rainbow High ones look amazing) but the sale prices more than make up for it. 😊
It gets easier once you skip a release because at that point they go on sale when a new series releases, so you get the lovelies while waiting for the next sales. Then you're just buying (mostly!) sale to sale. :)

Well, the series 4 doll I bought first was Lila Yamamoto. I just love her style and the lilac color. I will probably get Coco, Daisy, and Meena. And I definitely hold off for a while to see if they go on sale. They stay on the shelves for months.

Online in my target Delilah is $21 but online only and I have seen the dolls being cheaper online than at store so maybe check online first and she if they're cheaper before going to the store and you can get order pickup of available 😊 then you can also look at the doll and ask for a different won if it has defects or if order pickup isn't available you can always have it shipped to your house
Yes 👍🏽 I agree with every single word you said from prices to having separate items to buy instead of having to purchase dolls each time. I purchased the Rock Band as well when they went on sale this time. Rainbow High is an awesome brand, I love it 🥰
Another doll RUclipsr, xCanadensis, mentioned the Target sale so I all but ran there to get the Winter Break Poppy and have just been staring at her in love ever since. I even like her better than the original plus she has neck articulation! I like most of the dolls is series 4 but I'm holding out for the Storm twins first (neither of which are at my stores yet) and then will have to see what's left over for the others.

I don't dislike RH dolls they are nice dolls, the clothes are very detailed and the accessories are very good also, I'm a Barbie collector and even that is struggle so I understand when it comes to feeling stressed when they keep bringing more and more dolls out, my budget right now it's non existing so I won't even try to keep up, would need to win the Lottery for that. I do find that sometimes the factory quality control on RH is lacking a bit with seams and face paint etc specially for the price they retail! Still great video Toya thank you.
Well I have all the series 4’s. They are in shops since May 12th. I like Meena the most but I got Jewel first.

Hi froggy! You can remove the pearly finish from mini toya/a RH doll with 100% acetone nail polish remover, but be careful beacause it can get rid of the face paint and if u go over the eye with it it makes it permanently blurry and foggy. And wash the plastic with cold water when ur done to stop the acetone from eating at the plastic :)

If you dont like the shine on there face just use acetone nailpolish dosent have to be 100 percent but be careful with the makeup and dip a ear bud into the nail polish and rub where the shine is!

You're really lucky with the Rockstar dolls. The only place that carries them in Canada is Toys R Us, and they are $70 CAD ($56 US). I keep watching for a sale, but Toys R Us often hangs onto stuff for a long time rather than reduce.

I just noticed that series 4 is on sale, on Amazon today (11/26/2022). The dolls are $13.29 each.
If you put a set of hooks on the back of some of those tops, it may work. Stretchy thread could make them connect better too.

I just discovered about Delilah when I looked her up. She has Albinism, which is a rare skin disease resulting in lack of pigment in the skin.
The price point combined with how often the new waves hit make it difficult to keep up. I just have to pick my very favorites and keep an eye out for sales.

Might be a little tedious but the shimmer on their faces does come off with polish remover just like any other doll face screening/paint; lol lots of people have done it as well 😅
