Grande Fabrizio, visto che siamo arrivati alla versione "ultimate" ci aspettiamo un bel tutorial completo per implementare le selettive sulla radio.

seeing the menu entry TxpCal [68] at around 2:18 in the video reminds me of what in my opinion is a bug:
* Set the radio to a 2m frequency (e.g. 145.500) and selected H power. Then the TxpCal menu entry incorrectly shows the H power level of the 70cm band.
UHF (e.g. 433.500):
L: 5a (2.97 W)
M: 64 (3.30 W)
H: 89 (4.52 W)
VHF (e.g. 145.500):
L: 5f (3.13 W)
M: 69 (3.46 W)
H: 89 (4.52 W) although pressing PTT shows 4.7W in the display while transmitting.
nella nuova versione ho eliminato l'indicazione in Watt.

I noticed that the repeater tail squelch on the Quansheng is louder than usual and very annoying during qso. The squelch tail elimination setting does not work on the Quansheng so far, it only delays the squelch tail. Is it possible for you to customize IJV firmware to help solve the issue on Quansheng?

Firmware 3.40 [2024-09-10]
I've not been able to get Selective Calling working with the ZVEI or CCIR encoding options using the three radios I have [all using IJV].
If I set the "D Live" option to raw, it appears that an extra tone is being sent between the destination and source IDs.
To give an example assume:
Own ID = 123 (Source)
UPCode = 456 (Destination)
When the destination is called, the raw output on the second radio will show: 4566123
---
The only selective calling that works for me is with the DTMF encoding. But I'm using different settings from what is shared in the video:
PTT ID = ID CALL
D Code = DTMF
D RSP = BOTH

ho avuto problemi con l'incorporazione dei dati nel chirp con
incompatibilità NFM e salto di frequenza dalla versione 2.9 chirp
egzumer. Adattato l'importazione all'ultima versione 3.40, penso che
sia ancora a metà dell'opera con un problema con i TONI che non
funzionano bene, inizio e fine tono non funzionanti secondo quanto
riportato da un altro collega e altri problemi, squeltch... mancanza di
sensibilità, Ho un ripetitore da 2 metri a un chilometro e lo senti
meglio con la versione 2.9. Mi piacciono invece le nuove modalità W
N U e la gamma extra Scramble, i gruppi CB, VHF... ecc. Li considero
superflui. Al momento sono tornato alla vecchia versione 2.9R4
poiché per me funziona meglio. Grazie per il tuo lavoro, credo che
non ci siano altri software simili su Internet. Grazie mille, come
sempre cerco solo di essere sincero e pratico e provo sempre il vostro
software.
la versione 3.40 e' molto piu' tecnica della 2.95, bisogna saperla usare bene per avere il massimo dei risultati.

the scrambler there is .. select the frequency by menu and use F+8 to activate

With version IJV 3.20 I tested the selective call with DTMF: OWN ID=1, UPCODE=2, D RSP=RING, PTT ID = DTMF CALL ID.
What do I have to send with a different radio - that is NOT IJV - so that the squelch does open? I tested 1, *1, #1, 21, 12, this is also displayed in the display, but the squelch keeps closed. Is it right, that the radio sends TWO Tones on pressing the PTT, even when Own ID is only "1"? Sorry, i've never played with selective Call before :)
the codes must be of 3 chars... es. 123
@@ijvchannel In the manual, section "7.5 DTMF" is an example with ONE number, like I did. 3 digits MAX. But its the same result with OWN ID=123, UPCODE=456, D RSP=RING, PTT ID = DTMF CALL ID. With an non-IJV radio (TH-F7) I've sended 123456, 456123, *123456, *456123, but no squelch opened or ringing.
I will try in the next time with a second UV-K5.
se mi permetti, vorrei farti i miei complimenti per il lavoro che stai svolgendo. lo trovo estremamente interessante. a questo punto mi pento di non aver mai terminato il corso per conseguire il patentino da radioamatore: il "docente" era a dir poco "soporifero"...

Restando in attesa del firmware che permette l'uso delle selettive, ti chiedo se i toni sono quelli standard. Per intendersi, le selettive sono con toni decifrabili dalle radio civili? (Avendo anche delle vecchie ICOM F-3, F-30, HC16T etc vorrei sapere se riesco a farle operare con la quansheng). Inoltre visto che sono a domandare... la ricezione della selettiva sulla quansheng apre anche lo squelch qualora sia chiuso (dubito)? In ogni caso compilimenti, derivando dall'uso di radio civili, la selettiva è una cosa di cui ho sempre sentito una mancanza estrema, grazie!!
Si, i toni sono quelli standard quindi compatibili con le radio ad uso civile, con la chiamata selettiva lo squelch si apre alla ricezione del codice.

oi, como faço para usar ijv em 11 metros?
per ascoltare gli 11 metri basta impostare la frequenza sul VFO o richiamare il preset.. per poter trasmettere e' necessaria la modifica hardware sui filtri interni.

on top of that I made it sound controversial because if i didn't nobody would likely respond.
ever since the days of yaesu ft 530 which I grew up on these kinds of features started to proliferate the menus of various radios and in my 33 years of being on the air 24/7 I have never ever once heard anyone on ham radio say it was usefull or desired and never once have I heard it used other than by fire departments.
you're doing it obviosly because you enjoy it and that's great
