Tanfoglio may be the most underrated brand in the firearms industry. They've been making top quality CZ-based pistols for decades but you hardly ever see a word about them in gun media. I used a TZ-75 Compact as a carry gun for many years and can attest to its phenomenal reliability. So glad to see them getting coverage here.
I love this company. Years ago now, I inherited thousands of rounds of old, crappy bulk 9mm when my uncle passed. I didn't want to put it thru any of my stuff at the time, but I didn't want to throw it out. So I bought a used Tanfoglio Witness at my local pawn shop for $219. Thought it would be a good range beater for a while. I absolutely love that thing. I recently replaced the springs in all the mags & have yet another recoil spring on the way. I'll never get rid of it. This company makes a good product.
You can use the same frame/grip to shoot multiple calibers. The slide and barrel are interchangeable; it's like switching the upper on an AR, but faster.
@@tbladesmith I own a Tanfoglio Combat F 10mm, it is basically a CZ 97B in 10mm. I don't quite miss the CZ badge, to be completely honest. These are very well built guns.
Tanfoglio have made their pistols in 10mm since as far back as the 1990s. This new line is a successor on older versions. Most historically were sold under the EEA Witness branding. In fact aside from Glock and the odd 1911 that came in 10mm, Tanfoglio for many years was one of the few mass producted guns made in 10mm. These last few years have been quite the turn around for 10mm
CZ-75 based pistols will always be nice to see on the market. I am curious if the safety has a de-cocker integrated into it so you can put the hammer down without using a finger to do it.
Sooo... if I'm understanding correctly.. they are all large frame guns, because they need also be able to accept .45/10mm Mags. This is really great new for guys with big hands like me. I really don't like the small frame / short trigger reach Shadows, KMRs and similar pistols too much...
I see Tanfoglio's around my town from time to time, but I've never had the opportunity to shoot one. Wish I knew someone who owned one, because they look like solid pistols.
i think they will, tanfoglio usually go to the US market a bit after it's released in europe. and for their size and audience (sport), they sell pretty ok, i don't think they'll change the tactic on this line. they already had a duty line before but it wasn't this versatile
Pretty high end pistol but still not completely outrageous price considering the quality these guys put into them. I would much rather spend a grand on this than a Sig or HK.
Can't have a decocker with the Tanfoglio system. The safety on Tanfos works off the sear not the hammer. That is what gives it the nice low "thumb shelf" position versus the CZ.
@@ElTejon47901 How is it a toy caliber? Just because it isnt the right pick for your use case for you does not make it a toy. I will also add that i own a 10mm EAA imported compact steel frame tanfoglio and it seems to not have a strong enough recoil spring for the job because it slams back really hard and ejects the casings like a mile away. it has not been as reliable as I would expect. But it does look sexy...
Tanfoglio is primarily known for making a CZ Shadow 2 clone (which itself is a CZ75 variant ... and that is based on the Browning Hi-power) .... so they went full circle back to duty use
@ryanpeck3377 The Tanfoglio Stock competition models predate the Shadow. Yes older Tanfoglios were clones, but their line evolved much farther and arguably better than CZ. You can rack the slide with the hammer cocked and safety engaged, the firing pin block spring uncompressed with the trigger pull, doesn't add trigger weight, etc.
Been seeing similar models from them on GunBroker for a couple years now including 10mm. Their product line has changed a bit since the days that EAA was their distributor. Some of it I like, some of it not so much.
Didn't Tangfolio make the MAPP 22tcm9r for Rock Island? If so, this sounds like a missed opportunity to introduce a more modern non 1911 22tcm9r firearm. Albeit, I have no idea of the legalities, but ummm... Yeah, I still want one. 🤔

Oh! I love the Toblerone serrations! It's what I love about the APX. Did I hear "multiple calibers?" That's good! Overbuilt slides and frames.
They are Tanfoglio "large frame" platforms, so originally made for 10mm auto and .45 ACP.

Bought a witness around 10 years ago for under $250. Love that gun.
Not the Fab92??
An easy to rack, light, all caliber compatibility, duty line checking all my boxes, especially for that price. I wanna learn more.
Not gonna lie, I clicked on this vid solely because I like saying Tanfoglio 😂

You have to check back with this man next year. He's so simple and eloquent in how he speaks. Like a spaghetti made with Hunts sauce.
What?! LOL.
Back in 1999 I bought a Tanfoglio Force 99 in 40SW...Fantastic Gun!!... Silly me sold it to a co-worker in 2002.
"Fratelli Tanfoglio", Tanfoglio Brothers. Good Video.
Please make Tanfoglios easier to get in the US 😭
Beautiful pistols.
Finally!!! A CZ type that can use a red dot, coziness, and have a threaded barrel!!!! Geez took long enough
why did it take until 2023 and 24 for duty/carry optic ready CZ 75 guns ?
These are practical machines... Interchange calibers... and that tactical pro is awesome with fingers groves cuts on rear and front of the grip.

Slide in frame with those awesome serrations and 10 mm? Are you serious dude come on man my credit card can't take this anymore... 😂
I am jealous of Europe that the "CZ style" is so dominant.
Yes we have all CZ style guns
And on top of this we can get 1911 double stack also 😂
EU is less budget gun oriented than the US
STEEL FRAME ROCKS
Ill be eyeing that 10mm for sure, hell yeah

I had a Tangfolio Mossad, great handgun, accurate af!
All they need is a compact option and I'm sold
Tanfoglio has had a duty/tactical line for several years.
Yeah, the same couple of pistols for nearly a decade, all lacking basic features to compete in the current market and all with similar polymer frames
They're really popular in the security guards market here in Italy, too. Many of them open carry a Tanfoglio pistol.
Now these are some pistols I'm interred in.
Wish they made it in a de-cocker only version too.
Didn't catch it but did he say when they're planning on bringing these to market? Or rather, market in the US?

If they are meant for duty use, do those have a different drop safety than the competition models with the usually disengaged kind?
Will they be rated for 45 Super?!?!
When you've been making funny CZ variants so long you now circle back to the classics
Looking forward to the tactcal pistol to add to my collection
