My ancestor was Adam de Bartelot, born 1044 in Normandy. Came over with William and fought with him at battle of Hastings. It is his progeny who acquired the Stopham estates and Sir Brian is a relative of mine a million times removed.

This is my ancestry too. My ancestors are from the Barttelot family and my Great Aunty has visited this church to view the brass plaques. Apparently we are a descendant of Charlemagne’s sister. Can’t remember which one.
I am from India & it is my dream that some day I will visit this place & other placces also which I watch in bald explorer.com . I am obsessed with these wonderful places but don't know whether it will be possible to go there some day or not.
My ancestor is William the Conqueror. He is my 27 x great grandfather.
