I'm so glad it is helpful! I'm still pretty new to youtube and making instructional videos, so I appreciate the feedback, and knowing that I'm doing something right!

Thank you so much for sharing those informations!
I startet building english warbows a couple of years ago - so I am familiar with most of the process and only needed some typical measurements for building my first Armbrust...
I ended up watching the whole video anyways 🙂
So thx again - please keep up your great work!

I’m so glad it was helpful! Regarding typical measurements, check out books by Jens Sensfelder, Sven Luken, and Holger Richter; they are packed with detailed measurements (and published in German!)

I decided to try out braided dyneema string. To my surprise, it worked perfectly fine. It's a bit tricky to get the length correct, it's only off by a little bit here and there, but it works. I'm using a 3mm string on my 80lb pistol crossbow for some reference.

That modern interpretation of the reïnforced loop is very interesting. Is there any sources, book or articles that descripbe that 'new' knotting technique for reinforced strings?

Nice video. What are the specs/dimensions of the dyneema yarn and how do you calculate the number of strands needed,

I think this one was 30 loops? So 60 strands in the centre, and 30 on the end loops.
